Or people can use other coins with those attributes?

Litecoin is still an extremely strong coin and this is why:

[snip]

It was the #2 coin for ages but is now #3. Poloniex doesn't feature it as a second trading pair (instead they feature Monero).

99% of XMR trading is on Polo.

So it's like a special, obscure pet Polo thing...
Where Polo has been manipulating the XMR market from Day One in partnership with the Monero Group...
You know, exactly in the scorched earth ruthless way the Monero Group has been manipulating BitcoinTalk.

Meanwhile, LTC can be used at 1000s of payment processors around the world. It's ubiquitous.

Beginning of the year:

ALL IN LTC COME ON GUYS.

FEB:

LTC IS DEAD SELL EVERYTHING

MARCH:

ALL IN LTC COME ON GUYS.

APRIL:

LTC IS DEAD SELL EVERYTHING.

I see that you are very consistent in changing your mood monthly.

Since this thread is moderated, my post life expectancy is significantly lower than even LTC's.  Roll Eyes

+1... very well said. Tongue

Yeah - but nobody actually bothers to use LTC!!!

Transactions in the last 24 hours:

Ether: 33,586
Doge: 13,462
LTC: 4,301

Try looking at the value of those transactions in the last 24 hours. When I looked:

Ether: $3,485,668
Doge: $6,672,157
LTC: $13,252,024

Thanks for the link I've bookmarked it. It will be another example of how LTC remains strong.

Only two things can resurrect it: anonymity & instant transactions.

The Core dev team decided that they would experiment with anonymity features this year; please look at the Litecoin Core AMA: https://www.reddit.com/r/litecoin/comments/3z2ta1/ama_official_litecoin_developers_and_litecoin/

By instant transactions, I'm assuming you mean faster block time? Or do you mean something like lightning, lightning support is coming. Litecoin is having it's own special block scaling solution revealed soon.

Past few days, bitcoin went from 420 to 440, lite coin stay at 3.2, as a result, ltc also went from 0.0077btc to 0.0074 btc.

All i can say is Lite coin is quite stable, hardly outperform Bitcoin.

Kinda related to this thread or perhaps a sign that if Litecoin is NOT dead, it perhaps IS on life support.

the thread below is asking if  the litecointalk forum is down for good or not....(also has poll on such)

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1446271.0

for those unfamiliar was an equivalent forum like bitcoin talk for litecoin talk. It got hacked is now gone but no real new info on any progress to revive it.

www.litecointalk.org (still down as we speak)

The poll is on if it is down for good or not in the above link.

It is NOT a good sign that we have NOT heard any real news on any effort/progress/etc beyond the initial announcement that the admins over there were gonna rebuild the site.

Hopefully some admin over there on the rebuild (knock wood) will reply on this or the above thread.

Anyway if the OP is correct on this thread could be another sign of his viewpoint that LTC is dead/dying.

(myself I'm a fence sitter no idea)

First -> Sorry for my bad english, guys!

Why R.I.P ?? the most stable in the world of altcoin cryptocurrency

Why R.I.P ?? Why litecoin hashrate is strong and stable? Yes We KNOW, it's centralized, like Bitcoin is centralized, centralized where? USA? Europe? Mars? Pluto? no, CHINA, cryptocoins are centralized in China, China owns all cryptoworld, it's not new

Why R.I.P ?? just because litecoin is not a pump and dump trash like other coins like Ethereum scam, Lisk scam, etc?

Why R.I.P ?? the litecoin is on the largest Chinese Exchanges

Why R.I.P ?? Litecoin is a "China Bitcoin", and the Chinese guys loves litecoin, chinese rules the bitcoin market, litecoin market and all cryptocurrency market

Why R.I.P ?? if you check the site BitcoinWisdom.com and see that 90% of the volume of Bitcoins come from China, and 90% of litecoin volume also comes from China, China Rules

Why R.I.P ?? if several TrashCoins as ethereum, lisk, synereo and other trashcoins are easily "Pumped and Dumped", do you think it will not come the turn of litecoin? The difference is: Litecoin is a stable currency and not a scam like lisk, ethereum and other similar trash coin?

Why R.I.P ?? Really? Newbies do you believe that the Chinese guys have forgotten litecoin? ingenuity has limits, the limit of ingenuity is called "stupid."

Why R.I.P ?? Newbies and haters do not know when the Bitcoin reach your ATH, then immediately thousands of investors, corporate or domestic, will not migrate to litecoin (BTC to LTC), making litecoin also reach your ATH, and so when you arrive, return to Bitcoin (BTC to LTC), in which the litecoin will stabilize at a new price?

Why R.I.P ?? once again I repeat, who OWN the cryptocurrency (Bitcoin, litecoin and others) are the Chinese, are not you newbies and haters from bitcointalk, are not the Americans, Europeans, Martians or reptilians, who own are the CHINESE, if the Chinese want to the bitcoin go to the moon, they will, if they want the litecoin go to the moon, they will, hard to understand???

Why R.I.P? Like I said, and I'm repeating -> When the bitcoin reach its maximum value, investors will quickly migrate to litecoin to achieve profits several times higher than just investing in Bitcoins, as history shows us and will be repeated, investors will want this, the Chinese will want this, and Litecoin price will skyrocket

These haters and newbies are very boring, annoying!!!!

Thanks for reading!

i hope you all took advise and dumped your shit ltc coins
because it wont pump anymore. and when it doesnt pump during btc halving, it means there is no hope left for ltc anymore at all. the only next think to then look forward to is ltc's next halving 4 years later. so people will abandon the shitcoin enmass, cause no sane person is waiting 4 years to make a bit of profit while he could put his money to good use in meantime lol

ltc ; its over. covblee is gone, he is out of picture. should say you enough when the founder doesnt even care anymore lol
