the real estate company Acre is offering the 50% of its capital stock.

50 % of generated profits net tax. So in effect yes. The other 50% being used for growth.

Quote
How will be the share pricing, and what rights will the shareholders have other than receiving dividends, such as voting rights?

If there were to be separate funding rounds outside the Rise ICO, share pricing (cost of allocated Acre tokens) for an individual project would be calculated with an aim to provide a 15 to 20% ROI minimum to investors.

In terms of voting rights, it would be based on a weight ratio of Acre held. A simple way of viewing this would be, if you held 10 Acre you'd be entitled to 10 votes.

Quote
And I believe something is missing here; what will be your share from the equity?

Hehe, good question. Although final figures aren't fixed our share would be minimal. The goal for us is not to withdraw profits for our own short term gains. We want to build a company that grows it's resources (assets) in the form of property which means leaving as much as possible for growth whilst keeping it interesting for our investors. Our team members also hold Acre, which will mean we are entitled to our share of profits based on the amount of Acre we hold.

To re-iterate an earlier point... Acre would keep generating profits no matter what happened to the Rise tech platform.

Team Status Update:

We have another person joining the RISE team.

Gjeric has been working at Blockchain Technology Group, also known as Blocktech, for over 2 years.

As an avid crypto enthusiast, one that has assisted in a number of projects he'll be ideally suited for life on board the good-ship RISE.

Greg will be lending his expertise which will include developing the RISE and ACRE brands.

https://twitter.com/creative_crypto

He will no doubt drop by to say hello at some point in the near future.

Glad to be joining you guys!

Thanks for stopping by Greg and welcome aboard!

Dear Alty,

I am not very experienced in the share pricing models of real estate companies, but yours looks like a non-standard one. So can you elaborate more on how Rise token holders will be entitled to hold Acre tokens? Will it be like 1 Rise = 1 Acre? Will Rise token holders be able to swap their tokens with Acre tokens, or do Rise tokens already represent ownership of Acre shares? What percentage will Rise token holders get from the capital stock?

Thanks again for taking your time explaining these.

Is there an official public chat to discuss this coin, like the guys of LISK who use Rocket Chat (Similar to Slack)?

It would help get a community going for RISE.

There is, without doubt a non standard element to this model, esp because of the cryptocurrency element, however it's designed to be sustainable.

Correct there will be ratio of 100 Rise = 1 Acre (there will be less Acre tokens than Rise tokens).

Quote

Acre tokens will be separate and distributed automatically to anybody that holds Rise tokens using the ratio of 100 Rise to 1 Acre.

50%

Dear Andy,

I appreciate your endeavor to explain the capital structure, but this all looks so complicated. Now, Rise token holders will be given Acre tokens proportional to the amount of Rise tokens they hold. There will be 100M Rise tokens, corresponding to which are 1M Acre tokens. So, what will be the number of total outstanding Acre shares? Or let me first ask whether Acre tokens will be issued as open-ended?

Thanks

We considered Rocket Chat but decided to go for Atlassian. An application form for license was sent off a couple of days ago and we're waiting to hear back from them.

There is a slack chanel atm (link it at the top in the OP) although we want to move away from it as soon as we have Atlassian setup.

Not sure I completely understand the question but if you mean "can we create as many Acre coins as we go?" the answer is: No, on condition we get enough funding to start project acre via the success of the Rise ICO.

I'm signing off for today, you can always drop me a message at my email address.

Open-ended means you will be able to issue additional tokens after the initial issuance. So let's say the Rise ICO raises $100, and you need $120 to commence your operations. You will need to issue $20 worth of Acre tokens. Then it's simple to calculate how much share Acre holders will have. What I'm asking is, if you need $50 more at the end of the first year, let's say, whether you be able to issue additional Acre tokens to make up that $50. Every sophisticated investor will want to know such details.

Thanks for the quick response. Atlassian looks pretty good from what I can see, I think that will be a great choice. Can't wait to try it out.

Meanwhile I'll join your Slack channel. I want to get in big time on the ICO.

LOVELY To see everything here is so organised and I will try also to become an affiliate and try to bring some people into the ICO. I also run a coin blog as well so can put the tracking code there and I got some ad space in some revshares so will make a banner and advertise it with my paid ad credits if that is o.k.  Smiley.

Ease of use is also of significant importance to us, that is why we will be building multiple features designed to make development for Rise based sidechains and Dapps easier. This includes an expanded SDK that adds support for languages like Python, Ruby, C#, Java, and Swift. Graphical User Interfaces for the building of basic Dapps, Smart Contracts, and Sidechain coins.

This, guys, is a killer feature. Python, Ruby, C#, Java, and Swift + DEV GUI?

Wow. If you can implement that, you could be defining the future of LISK too.

Watching!
