We have some good news that we'll talk about Monday in terms of office space for the dev team... alongside introduction of the new "executive director" style person we have joining our forces (team) in order to help promote Rise for use in businesses and win contracts etc... Also on Monday there will be another dev update which I'm trying to ensure happens on a daily basis from Mon to Fri even if it's just a quick update it's nice to have constant and regular communications to understand what is going on.... I appreciate that it's difficult without hearing often from team members about progress so we are going to do our best to provide that as often as possible.

i know this is past discussion, but.. i just read it..

New Team Members and ICO Update:

The rise team has been very impressed by the trust placed in our project so far by way of investments. We've passed 150 btc in just over the first week, however there is still a long way to go before we could make Project Acre possible. 1250 btc and Project Acre kicks in as a bonus to Rise holders.

We have high aspirations to make Rise into a cryptocurrency that is a cut above most other projects.

Personally if you want to make this project a success and big then focus on development. That Project Acre shouldn't even be under discussion. RISE has a potential of being THE Dapp platform if you really focus on that. Way better than LISK on paper as of now.

To make it a reality development should be the big thing. Forget Acre thats actually is a smalltime project building and selling real estate. If you get 10,000 BTC then maybe it makes sense to do that

600 BTC (if you get that much) means roughly $260,000. For a year that would be $22K per month, which only can support maybe 2-3 good developers. That is NOT enough.

If you get 1250 BTC, 100% of it should be used to get MORE experienced Devs. Right now I think Justin you are the only experienced dev, you need to get high experienced dev to get the ball rolling quicker.

The shorter your time-to-market the more valuable this project will be. Secondly adding Highly Experienced dev is going to add credibility to the project, right now it seems most of your dev are your friends from Carbonite.

So if you guys are serious about making this project big, then I'd recommend shelving Acre as a separate token sale or only do it if you get like 10K BTC. The value you can create for RISE itself will be huge if you FOCUS your resources and GET HIGHLY EXPERIENCED devs, maybe even from India/Russia if they have experience, not some junior dev to manage funds better.

I see potential here, but you need to manage this potential otherwise you'll screw up this project. Acre is peanuts and shouldn't be even under consideration at 1250 BTC. Acre sounds more like a kids plan because everyone likes Real Estate and dream of that business. But what you have in RISE is BIG, so don't screw it over by focusing on 2 complete unrelated projects. Technology has HUGE potential vs real estate. So I would highly urge to create value by adding EXPERIENCED well-known dev to the team and use the extra funds to support that.

Thanks for the comments and concerns pertaining to Acre. In fact, the Rise team has been discussing Acre amongst ourselves for the past week. Acre was removed several days ago from the OP because we feared it was a distraction from the core project, Rise. Because of this we will start working on acre again when we finish with all of the core functionality of Rise later on down the road.

This now means that all funds raised in the ICO will go to development funds for Rise tech as the priority. A formal statement will be posted on the website shortly.

i just read this,
i thought that ACRE is by selling Rise (making the dump), and i was wrong reading,
and turn out this WILL BE GREAT IDEA, it may not great idea for now, but WILL BE GREAT in the future.. only if RISE has already stable.

when the ACRE is resuming again, will i be eligible to the ACRE benefit? im not an ICO early investor..

Two More Full Time Developers Officially Onboard With Rise:

Congratulations and welcome aboard to Richard and Nathan who have joined the Rise project and will be coding from Justins "Kitchen Office" until they find a more suitable work space.

Expect to see a ton more of development updates on a continuted basis from now on.

At the moment the team is focused on resolving the public delegates forking issue.

To start with they are building in a function for the delegates to validate the blockheight prior to starting work on a block, to ensure they are on the same node.

After that they will work on keeping all the nodes in sync with each other.

For the time being Richard and Nathan are working on the above with Justins direction whilst Justin is beginning architecture for the other tasks.

You need a right enviroment to produce n perform nicely.....dogs barks, moms screaming, big bang high volume won't help......those guys need to know they have responsabilities, schedules, costumers they need to spend with discipline to add value to their product, but they need to spend or its worth nothing.
