I believe if Rise can make a good product it would revamp Rise and that will sure get people flocking to Rise. Hope u guys have something nice in store for 2017

I think so too. Dev did not abandon the project, the price can climb, but it is not as easy as it seems. IMHO

all altcoins are dropping since weeks, not only rise

Yes, not all coins can resist the growth of BTC.

Questions from the RISE community for the live streaming Q&A with the RISE developers keep flowing in. We got 32+ questions lined up so far. You still got 5 more days to add yours to the list!

Updated list of questions (as of Dec 15)

Are we still compatible to LISK code?

In the future can RISE help contribute and also follow the LISK progress?

How easy to create a DAPP in “user-friendly drag n drop” at RISE platform, could you give us use case on how non-coding newbie could be creative and producing a bit complex DAPP, and encourage them to start learn the code to advance more?

Can a node only be set up on Ubuntu Linux?

Is it possible to have a Windows based node with a 1-click installer for Windows? Will RISE foundation provide those?

Is http://forum.rise.vision/topic/11/ubuntu-14-04-or-15-10-desktop-release-setup-guide-for-rise-node AETSEN tutorial to setup node still applicable since RISE already use NIST? Can “ordinary newbie non developer” participate?

Can node be run in Ubuntu virtual box inside windows and if so, will it be stable?

Could you explain the difference between DPOS 101 vs POS, and why was the choice for DPOS 101 made?

Is there a way to prevent 101 monopolization by 101 delegates, and encourage communities to take turns?

Have Rise Foundation become a non-profit organization intended to support the communities and encourage the usage of Rise Platform? Do RISE foundation have legal entity for it/is it finished already and can the foundation be made to become the central to connect all the RISE community around the world to speed up RISE adoptions and build trust systems, and encourage the communities building their RISE based startup?

Can transaction/asset issued BE MADE Reversible to prevent fraud or trusted gone bad (regarding remittance)?

Regarding 5-year Use Case, will Rise reduce the fee because 1 RISE could become to expensive for micro/mini transaction, is there a mechanism to decide lowering the fee?

Who is the RISE community? and will RISE be intended to be democratic?

Will the marketing be in cooperation with the communities?

Will there be a Rise Faucet and if so who will provide the free coin for it, is it the foundation?

How much is the total coins after the inflation ends?

Is there a fee for releasing a DAPP? How much is the ideal fee? (costly fee may kill creativity)

A lot of crypto networks experience DDOS attacks, what process do we have to stop this from happening?

Does Rise believe they have tested all areas of security of the Blockchain/code base?

I know that some companies conduct Security Audits, is that something we intend to do as well? I remember Ethereum the first DAO was a security contract that the users declined and then they had the DAO attack.

Are we still expecting a Road Map – what is still outstanding?

Have you completed or when do you expect to complete the Rise Code base as we have ditched LISK?

Regarding Delegate system: how is the testing going with the 15 testers, is the Test net performing as expected up and running?

Have you been contacted by any developers waiting to use Rise to write DApps?

Regarding TPS: what was tested and has the new Rise code base been tested for maximum consistent TPS without forking?

When will “Don’t Panic” be contracted to start Marketing Rise?

When will you consider doing a piece via Blocktalk or any other Live Interviews?

Are any other Startups looking at our code for them to copy/mirror?

Do you believe you have all the skill sets needed in the current resources profile of the Devs?

I believe our Inflation rate will end at around 140 million, thereafter is it transaction fees that will support the network?

Where do you see Rise in 5 years time ( You're allowed to dream)?

Will you ever have a Live community meeting/Event around the world like Steem/Ethereum etc etc?

=========================
Below the original post of the Q&A event

Live Youtube Video Stream Q & A with the RISE Development Team?

We would like to change our scheduled Slack chat Q&A with the Rise Developers on December 22nd to a Live Video Q&A instead. We believe this would add more value to the experience for our community and it's a lot more up close and personal.

Here's the catch though; for this to happen we will need to receive sufficient interest from the community. We haven't received any questions for the Q&A yet at this point in time so we are looking to receive at least 15 interesting questions from the RISE community by December 21st, a day before the session. Of course we hope for more than 15 good ones. The questions need to be on topic (related to the Rise platform) and please try to avoid simple yes/no questions, because we want to fill up an hour of informative and productive discussion.

Questions can be submitted here: http://forum.rise.vision/topic/70/december-22-2016-event-live-slack-q-a-with-rise-developers

Thanks!

Indeed. A significant part of the RISE community asked for more communication from the team, so our response has been increased communication and transparency, things like expense reporting, release of a new introduction video with our developers, more forum activity as well as organizing live streaming Q&A events as yet another way to connect and interact directly. We do understand that not everyone is waiting for a Q&A and that's fine, it's only for those who have an interest in hearing in-depth details about the RISE platform directly from the development team.

Our team's main focus is working to achieve real progress and results. This takes time especially because as some of you know we've recently made the decision to depart from being based on Lisk code and to create our own unique code base. The reason for this course change was explained by our lead Developer in this blog article: http://forum.rise.vision/topic/67/dev-team-go-forward-plan

Before we made this switch we developed brand new code to augment the original Lisk code base with a collection of RISE Software Development Kits (SDKs) for Python, C#, JAVA, Ruby and Node.JS, which enable any developer to create Dapps with any of those popular code languages. For those interested to download those see Github at https://github.com/RiseVision Our current RISE desktop wallet developed by an active community developer and audited by us is an example of software that made use of one of these SDKs. The new code base (internally named RISE 2.0 for now) is designed to be fully compatible with these SDKs but will in addition contain improvements compared to the old code base. Some of these improvements have already been revealed and some are still held under wraps for now until the new architecture for this has been completely fleshed out. The architecture is being designed from the ground up and as such it's not something that can be rushed. It won't be a matter of weeks but more likely months before a beta prototype can be released to the public. We will however invite a select few (a maximum of 15) to test the alpha prototype before the public beta release. More on this later. We will keep you informed every single step of the way.

If this is a live Q&A why does the questions need to be submitted before the event? Cant it be ask during the event? Or is the "devs" not capable of answering live questions?

Has macventure taken over from risegal now?

Has macventure taken over from risegal now?

they could do webinar too (drouma done it before, at the first page) but it is for a casual talks, and the time duration may limited (they need to work on the Rise work too)
but for now.. by submitting questions before live and upload it on youtube, you can ask as many as you want
they want to add more documentation to RISE while answer all..

nothing wrong with this, besides if only 1 or 2 small questions, you can always ask Direct-LIVE 24hour on slackchat, all Rise team(drouma,mcventure,alty,2dev) is always available on slack
CLICK on links to join RISE slack chat ---> https://www.mystellar.org/thread-780-post-2056.html#pid2056, and discuss anything

McVenture is always here, check from page1-to-last
RiseGal i dont know, but personally i think if she is paid for a bitcointalk customer service job, then its best if she is step down for a while, last thing Rise need is more expenses, need to save money for future marketing, etc, long battle awaits..

Hi @fob123, we asked for questions before the event to make sure there is enough interest for doing the live video Q&A. The event flyer we posted states that we give priority to submitted questions but we'll take live questions as well if time permits.

As @san2ok already correctly mentioned, I've not taken over from Risegal, I've been with the team from nearly the beginning.
