Even a year after the post, bitcoin did not become more popular than the US dollar, because there are still many people who have not even heard of it. It is because that bitcoin is still on its early age and dollar is established a lot of years already. But I know there will be the time thay everyone will talk about bitcoin and it is the one that will be used by everybody. And there's no need for bitcoin to becone popular, it will just happen suddenly. This is so true I appreciate. The people still use the Bitcoin to earn dollars and the reason for people of accepting the bitcoin is that they want actually to store and increase the number of Dollars in the form of Bitcoin. people still treat Bitcoin as a commodity in several cases. Yes many are transforming or converting their dollars into investment in the form of bitcoin which is massively done. I treat personally my bitcoin as my digital assets and I'm taking care of it. I'm inspired of those people that are actually get into bitcoin while it was early and will keep on holding them for a long time. These are real enthusiasts. I also admire the serenity of such people. But unfortunately, I already sold my coins, because I needed dollars. But that does not mean that I left the game. I plan to buy bitcoin in the future Well good thing that you had sold your coins at what rate did you sell them? Until now I'm waiting for the price of bitcoin to fluctuate way back to $2,700 as I'm not satisfied with the price of bitcoin now. I regret that I didn't sold some so I just keep on believing that there will be another ATH very soon. |

USD is currently crashing, because everything is crashing vs BTC. How long will it be before we treat BTC as the marker for everything else i wonder.
it should happened now , unfortunately the big problem are on government side. they will never accept bitcoin easily , they can not take benefit from a decentralized thing like bitcoin , they prefer to play with fiat especially USD currency , the strongest currency ( after bitcoin of course  ) . bitcoin always against the world , and i like that style. As you can see one of the country has taken the start to accept bitcoin so it will continue to other countries you will see after the success of that country another country will come to accept bitcoin and in this way the journey will continue. After accepting it by that country it is now easy to believe that others will also accept. |

it should happened now , unfortunately the big problem are on government side. they will never accept bitcoin easily , they can not take benefit from a decentralized thing like bitcoin , they prefer to play with fiat especially USD currency , the strongest currency ( after bitcoin of course ) . bitcoin always against the world , and i like that style. As you can see one of the country has taken the start to accept bitcoin so it will continue to other countries you will see after the success of that country another country will come to accept bitcoin and in this way the journey will continue. After accepting it by that country it is now easy to believe that others will also accept. Acceptance of bitcoin is very common right now and the countries are mostly looking for a new investment and that is bitcoin. Like you said, is it more likely to continue the hype of accepting bitcoin and it will drive the bitcoin for a higher price than before and it will be a very big news in the internet and also in the televisions and will make a very huge hype that will lead for price rally. |

hah .. btc is universal ... countries are national (traditional-tribal) ... haha ... yes
they must compete to comply evolution's requirements to get win-lose situation,
universal is about divine and competition is reduced and co-operation is increased
cryptos are in the slave to fiats, only god can save them and deliver out of slavery
possible is that btc helps nations to go universal skipping international and global
but it would be a long and painful process as it is push pattern under heavy burdens,
pull method can do it much easier and elegant, win-lose merge with win-win position,
in universal english it means that we have to allow god to become born and possess universe,
then we can complete financial framework: fiat banks, crypto banks and divine banks .. lol

I do not know where your from mate, but i do not think that bitcoin is that strong and well accepted to be used for day to day things. Bitcoin is good for making money for now as you said, and there we agree on. But bitcoin is not strong and accepted enough to be used more than dollar. Still dollar is more adequate for day to day using, and that is why dollar is better. |

Bitcoins for saving, USD for regular spending. After all bitcoin goes up over the long term while usd is more practical for day to day purchases. In other words I use bitcoin as an asset mainly and USD as the currency of choice.

They differ in many ways, USD is a stable currency used in worldwide trade. Bitcoin is a stable asset that can be used directly in a limited amount of trading but requires exchange to operate in any meaningful way. USD is also able to be used for everything bitcoin can be used plus more, it can be used for free offline.

I have a different view than you do. If I have bitcoin I am prone to investment and I dont feel anything even if i lose it in trading and on gambling sites. But if my money will be lost I cannot stop thinking about it. But this does not mean that I no longer want bitcoin, I still wanted bitcoin since it is the source of income and it has helped me pay my debts. Fiat currency is also dear to me since I am living in a rural area where bitcoin is not accepted in local stores. |

I am saving bitcoin not the usd though usd is the people used in everyday life but bitcoin is the future of the money not the touchable money but it will have the more valuable than usd/dollar so its better to save bitcoins in short save the future of all the cryptocurrencies in all over the world   |

Almost all the country's bank and financial institutions are working out the explore the block chain technology to get the space to implement the bitcoin as option for payment in banking. I hope we may see that in 10 years. USD can be easily exchanged in many countries now, in future bitcoin will be rock everywhere in that place. certain country only , mostly still consider bitcoin as not a currency . a dumb government sometimes are so stubborn , bitcoin clearly could make things easier than the current banking system, it is indeed some developed country has show the interest about blockchain technology and start make a research , but the rest of the world will still struggle to figure out about this as they mostly still fight from poverty. |
