I do not think that now is the time to make a choice between bitcoin and the dollar. Bitcoin can not yet fully replace the dollar. Not all the shops and did not pay off for all possible bitcoin. Therefore, this issue be put on today is very early still.

In fact you cant choose bitcoin or dollar, even dollar not being your currencie, you need both and might earn both with your work, soo why to choose or one should fight against the other, that isnt the purpose of bitcoin at all.

Well I agree we don't even have to choose any of them because they are both good if you are going to think about it. We do really need both of it, because the price of bitcoin is always depending to USD before we are going to convert that. So I can say that it is better  if we aren't going to compare them but use them both.

This comparison was made from the past year. I remember watching an analyst in youtube saying it can change the fiat. Dont remember the video now.

Exactly, because bitcoin is just a small currency that is not widely accepted by the majority of the people. It has its own purpose being a currency which  different from USD. Without USD bitcoin will not be successful because the big investors came form the US and they are using their fiat to invest.

Yeah it is going to be he conqueror in terms of currency all over the world. And many foreign currencies are depending to the value of USD and even bitcoin also So this is really not a good comparison instead we are going to need both of them in able to have prosperous life and control in our money for our daily lives.

As the dollar more or less stable, I am from him I never give up. True bitcoin also buy and hope for the price increase, but it is associated with greater risk. But I believe in a good future. On bitcoin can make good money, and the dollar is the currency for everyday life.

I doubt we can even see btc more popular than usd, i mean btc is worldwide but USD is a very important fiat.

If they know the importance of bitcoin im sure that they will try to collect bitcoin.. we are here in forum because we want bitcoin and we are just using bitcoin as alternative and source of income or business.. usd is our real money we can convert our bitcoin in to usd..
If we compare usd and bitcoin only the difference is the price of bitcoin and we are using bitcoin because of anonymity and price of bitcoin is not stable the price can be high or low. .

The bitcoin price rose about 6% in the last few days. There is no big news to drive up the price. So it is due to the mass adoption. It is good.

I gather you should follow news more closely. It had become known just a few days before the price surged from $570 to above $620 (almost 10% price increase) that the Russian government officials confirmed that they totally abandoned their initial plans to criminalize the use of Bitcoin (which they had been threatening to enact over the course of a few years, by the way) and in fact were drafting a bill to accept it as a foreign currency (like the US dollar)...

If it is not a big news, then what is?

I think think the bitcoin price is less driven by the news now. The implementation of SegWit will drive the price higher.

Correct, both of this currency is good to have, USD for daily living while bitcoin is for investment, bitcoin is not yer more popular here in my country but i think time comes that even kids will used bitcoin for their wants.

yeah besides the dollar is also a currency of a country. whereas only bitcoin payment options online. even not everyone in the world knows about bitcoin, I think it is still too early to prove that bitcoin is more powerful than the dollar?

Actually I get nothing from USD but it is used as the measurement of bitcoin so I got no choice but to also use it. One more thing is most of the wallet exchange that sells bitcoin do prefer USD as the currency for transaction.

Banks have digital versions of fiat money for many decades now, it is called your bank account and is used to instruct an ATM or teller in another location that it is OK for them to hand over dollars to you when you request it.

Bitcoin frees a person from the hassle of dealing directly with a bank so enabling each of us to conduct transactions without banks overseeing our transactions. (no middleman)

bitcoin is always scary for spending due to its irreversible and non traceable nature. so bitcoin adaption would happen only after we have more globally trustworthy business which accepts bitcoin. Till now we compare price of bitcoin against fiat currency only, if BTC is more popular everyone would compare fiat currency to bitcoin.

most or all of us compare or ask how much is 1 btc = fiat currency, when this situation changes like how much is $1

Bitcoin is not even qualified to compete with US Dollars because most of us here consider USD as the strongest currency in the whole world as it is widely recognize and accepted, bitcoin somehow is just new to the eyes of the many so there is not competition at all.

Ofcourse USD is bigger then btc by a large amount but I think btc has the potential to overtake it or come close at the very least.
This requires mass adoption and that's a tough call if it will happen or not. Only time will tell and if it happens it will still be years away though.

No bitcoin is not more popular than the US dollar and for that to happen then we US dollar has to go trough alot of bad times.
Not talking bad about bitcoin but the US dollar exists for so much longer it's hard to break it but bitcoin is innovative and has alot of benefits so who knows.
