The US Dollar. While its not the best, its the most preferred due to economics

Past crises in the global economy only proved that none of the currencies previously considered to be reliable, can not be a 100% guarantee of saving money. A wave of devaluations swept through the country and to make a choice between bitcoin and the dollar is very difficult. But on the basis of daily necessities, the dollar is still higher than the bitcoin rated.

People should not unreservedly trust or believe in Bitcoin, they just need to trust or believe in their "central authority" (aka government) a little bit less than they would in respect to Bitcoin. There is no way back after they lose that bit of extra faith they might have. And I have a strong inclination to think that a central authority has much higher chances to deliberately cheat or scam on folks than a decentralized one. So it is just a matter of time...

Did you even read what I have said? I said that people using the US Dollar on a massive scale, does not imply that this currency is popular. People use it because they don't have an other choice. That's it.

No it isn't, and I think for this decade or century will not be, bitcoin can not be as much popular as usd because people who use u.s dollars is way too large rather the people using bitcoin.

This is unreal do you know what is the ammount of dollars circulating? And we do know they can print unlimited dollars all days, bitcoin had a restricted 21 milion coins, that should be mined at 2100, even when some rumors saying that they might raise those ammount, something that wouldnt be good for bitcoin. Bitcoin its a point into the ocean against almost all currencies if not all, and those wont change, even with the price of 3000 dollars for each bitcoin.

yeah, but in that sense the governement can only make businesses stop using bitcoin not the people. and they can continue playing around with bitcoin as an investment and also even as an online payment or for transferring money to any other peer they like over the internet and nobody can stop that.

Bitcoin price in no case can be based on the US dollar. It is like saying that the price of apples is based on the US dollars. Bitcoin like apples can be priced in dollars. Just like they can be priced in any other currency. Does it make bitcoins and apples somehow different if they are priced, say, in the Russian Ruble or Chinese Yuan? Further, the US dollar is universally accepted only in the US (and a few other small countries like Honduras or Zimbabwe, lol)...

Good luck to you trying to buy something with the US dollars "offline", for example, in Canada (let alone the EU or the UK)
