I think we do not need to compare this two currency because both are popular in their world of currency, bitcoin is decentralize and it is the number 1 in crypto currency while usd is popular for all people as centralized currency.

I live in a major city and I always look for and ask if the places I spend my USD accept BTC, I have yet to use BTC once in the real world.

Until people can use BTC for everyday transactions the adoption will be limited to people like us.
Which is kinda ok for me but I do like the general idea behind BTC and someday, not soon, but someday it may replace USD.
I think it has much better chance in places/countries where the idea of money a little less standardized and fixed, like where bartering is prevalent.

Of course dollar is the most supreme currency on Earth but I don't think we need to compare them because they are both important and useful.

And bitcoin is just relying to the price of USD or what is going to be the value of USD in the economy. And USD was proven a lot of things already.

And almost all the countries are relying on it.

When we talk about USD vs btc there is no match USD over rules btc obviously cause USD is much bigger and older than btc is.

It is not about being ambitious. It is the way they look at USD now. There have been spreading news in social media about the Grand Fall of USD due to Saudi Arabia stopped mining oil. Russia getting a hand full of gold to avoid USA from getting precious metals reserve and same with China who is taking a lot of gold now. You have seen the price of oil now? It is at $52 per barrel. This is different with bitcoin. They got a lot of demands buy cant give anything. That is why Canada and America now are digging to get oil at their own countries.

yes you are right bitcoin is still weak because little demand but when bitcoin become famous because has been adopted by bank, i believe bitcoin will much stronger than usd.

I don't think that bitcoin is weak because think that we are still few in the market but look upon the price of bitcoin. It can tell us already what is the value of bitcoin in the economy. But bitcoin to be adopted by banks I don't think that it will happen because they don't have powers to control it but only US dollar.

A weak coin will not progress, what I see is that the price of bitcoin is good and this year alone we have a good increase already so I guess that is already a sign of a strong coins, in addition we have witness the crisis in the previous months but now bitcoin is still back on its progressive status.

Even coins stronger than a majority of their counterparts can still be easily regarded as weak or something that will never progress meaningfully, and you can see that with coins like Litecoin, Ethereum, Monero, and whatever else they would have.

There is always an alternative way to make the payment but what we don't want are the high fees of the third party services.

In this case we can make payments through bitcoin debit card (virtual or real plastic cards) but we need first to convert to USD and then spend them which they take fees of course.

And by sending your bitcoins to someone else to hold them for you is not recommended because it's not 100% safe. So USD is leading and bitcoin is way too far.
