Checked my season stats for our EPL pool on SuperBru to see how many correct ones i got each round. So if i played this Jackpot thing from Round 1, i'd be up about $1500 USDT.

If we don't count the free bets from 5s and 6s, assume you break even here. I had 1x9, 2x8, 2x7, and 11 that fell under 5 (-$20 USDT apiece). However you look at it, it's net positive.

Anyway, Southampton lost last night so they are definitely going to be having a hard time for automatic promotion, however playoff spots will put them as a big favorite I believe.

That's what I want to ask. The path that Southampton will try to promote to the Premier League is through the playoffs. Can Southampton return to the Premier League next season with the remaining matches to be played because they are up to the 38th match, Southampton still remains in fourth place with 74 points.
If Southampton returns to playing in the Premier League, this will be even more interesting because the team that was promoted to the Premier League last season was not very good.

I don't know much about the styles and form and skills etc of that league, but to my mind, if I consider playoffs, it doesn't matter if you are 3rd or if you are 6th, you have equal chance. So if I'm Southampton I think I'll still try to get 2nd spot first, they have a game in hand and there is maybe 3/4 games left to see if you can fight. But if I know I can't get 2nd anymore, I might as well rest squad and finish 6th, and prepare for full health in the playoff.

Usually promoted teams go down, so it's not so surprising but for sure Sheffield Burnley especially are looking really really bad. Ipswich Town probably end the same.

But, the highest ranked playoff team to end up being the one that goes to promotion is likely result. They are the top ranked in that sense after all for a reason, not the top ranked overall, the top ranked overall goes automatic promotion, I am talking about the top ranked one among the playoff ones. In this case third I believe, and that should be the normal case, I believe that will always be the most important part. Considering the situation these teams in, I would say that Southampton may have a little bit of trouble with them staying with this trouble and probably won't promote.

Liverpool are already comfortable at the top of the PL next opponent Manchester United we don't really mind coming to Old Trafford later.

So if you admit it has happened many times before, then how it the highest ranked playoff team most likely? You're talking about 3rd position, let's make it easy Only 5 out of 9 last seasons were 3rd place promotion, so I would say it's just more like 55-45 chance

Forest were 4th, promoted, Leeds I remember failed at first attempt getting 3rd (Aston Villa in 5th won promotion that season). Huddersfled were also 5th, this is just the past 8 seasons.

Either way, Southampton or Leeds will be 3rd I think. Sad to have to choose one.

Southampton still has an outside chance for direct promotion, although it doesn't seem likely after their loss in the last league game. They still have 2 games in hand.
They really do have a difficult schedule though, they are facing both Leeds and Leicester away from home in the last 3 games of the season.

I'd say that the playoffs look like a certainty, and that's always a roulette - especially considering that Leeds or Leicester will be there as well. It would be ideal if both were promoted directly and Ipswich went to the playoffs - although currently sitting at 1st place, I think they showed less than both those teams so far this season. They were inferior vs Southampton on Monday before the red card.
