Don't know if you have seen it guys but Sportsbet is back. We will start with a nice signature campaign and who knows what is coming in the future

Great to see Sportsbet.io back on the forum. I was really surprised when I saw the new signature campaign topic.
Do you know if Steve will become active again? The topic title needs to be changed, and he is the only one who can do it.

That would make their comeback in the forum even better if he becomes active again. But still, their comeback is guaranteed to put them in the spotlight again. They have built a great reputation before.

The campaign hasn't started yet, but the forum is very welcoming already. Certainly, it has something to do with how they managed things even before they left. I think, building back their trust again won't be that hard.

Seems most of them do not know or care how sportsbet treated their years old customers when they thought they were leaving crypto gambling for good.

And that was the OG management, who knows who are behind this brand now, and how much they can be trusted

I am surprised that despite all the negative reservations you have against sportsbet.io, you still went ahead and applied for their signature campaign. Who does that?  
Why would you want to advertise a service that you do not trust?

Well now i have had a couple hours sleep and some time to think over it once i woke up, i realise how it looks-stupid, maybe a little funny and makes my previous words look very un-trustable.

I am just gonna explain what happened before with me and others from india-

So there was some tennis leaderboard promo that i placed on and won about 100usdt in freebets. They were credited(probably auto credited) on monday,
However due to indian govt making a 'Promotions and Regulation of Online Gaming Bill' act, sportsbet decided they wouldnt offer services in india from 8 september. Keep in mind this is ONLY for REAL MONEY games and came into effect on 1 may 2026

I even told them i would use the freebet they very same day and withdraw if i win-





Later on it turns out brand was majorly shutting down everything and even fired most of its employees. I made peace with it thinking ok it shut shop whatever. And that was that.

They kept operating in a small scale without any promos ads etc

Until, they decided they would rather not miss out on indian players during IPL.

This is the biggest cricket tournament in the world.

The biggest casino owner right now- stake eddie has himself said multiple times that IPL has more action than any other league-nfl,nba etc.

Sportsbet started in india again, despite of the so called indian regulation due to which they claimed to shut down and couldnt provide our won prizes anymore.

Oh and i had also made a post earlier about all this here , but i received a rather threatening DM from the forums beloved steve soon after-



Apparently me calling them scummy is problematic but them deciding not to pay already finished and won promo prizes is not

Even that time i deleted my post, and decided not to take this further.

Well now they are back on this forum as well,  immediately being hailed as most trusted sportsbook, oldest crypto book etc etc.

Launching a very high paying campaign to advertise again,

Seeing all that, something in me just broke and i applied without thinking. That does not make any of what i said earlier false, as i have posted email proofs now.

Obviously i know im never gonna be accepted into that.

This is how sportsbet was ran earlier, any word against them here and you would receive DMs with similar tones. They even managed to find my telegram and send similar stuff there, unfortunately i dont have those saved.

I was very pissed in those times and seeing all the posts today just broke me.

You can't blame people to think that way, since somehow sportsbet.io truly became as one of best or trusted casino ever exist here in Bitcointalk. This is the reason why many people welcome them when they decide to comeback in this forum.

Although its really unfortunate that you experience that way, but well maybe sportsbet really cannot pay you because if their management do that. They might violate the law or regulation happening in your country.

But since you already post your frustrations here, towards the incident happen to you. Maybe they can do something with your case now that they are back here.

Anyways welcome back sportsbet and for sure all their old time players is happy to see them operating back here again.

You can't blame people to think that way, since somehow sportsbet.io truly became as one of best or trusted casino ever exist here in Bitcointalk. This is the reason why many people welcome them when they decide to comeback in this forum.

It would have been understandable if law actually applied to them, it was only for real money gaming.

And the law is still there, yet they came back for IPL and started emailing me shamelessly again-

in case you didn't know, Steve now works with jackpotter, he joined them a few months ago.

considering he was let go alongside multiple people at the time, i don't think he's going to be active under the sportsbet.io banner anymore (unless they rehire him, which is very unlikely).
i hope the new guy in charge of bitcointalk will be as good as he was.

Damn alot happened out here, but for what its worth Steve isn't with the company anymore,  and probably them slowing down operations was more likely a Yolo clean-up exercise,  but hope support can step in to see how they can make it up to you..just hope they don't say FB expires and nothing they can do..for a big brand like them they should be invested in the criticism and find the root cause because real players usually come from this lot.

Well I'm not so interested in who's going to run the campaign as much as I am in what they have in mind for Thursday. They are back and that's a positive thing and beginning with a signature campaign is a decent method to re-engage with the forum community. With Steve's return, I'm sure a lot of members who have been around for many years would be pleased to see a familiar name. However, I believe the more important question is whether or not Sportsbet.io can replicate the same degree of engagement, competition and promotions that they once had. That should give us a good idea of the real intentions behind this come-back.

You seem indecisive yourself saying this stuff about them and participating in their new signature campaign. BC.Game pulled a similar stunt way back and look where it ended up. I would think twice before depositing any money here basically.

I didn't like the decisions from their parent company when they were distancing from crypto. They had a valid reason to do so but still it could have been handled better. At that point they pulled out from the forum and closed all promotions.

And I would have won 20000$ from the promo not 100$ free bet  As it came out in the end, but many people stopped playing because they assumed promo was over. I played on since it wasn't that clearly communicated like for some other promos. It does say at every promo they are running they can stop it at any time, same for other bookies. Legally they are all in the clear no matter what we think about it. Anyway I am a VIP here and talked a lot with my manager and decided to punish them by walking away for some time. In the end I was punishing myself playing with the bookies at worse odds that don't have instant deposits and withdrawals.
I still can't believe Sportsbet is the only site that I know off that has instant deposit for bitcoin I would implement that one in my casino/bookie immediately if i had it.

Then I came back and was again happy customer In other words rohang, you have grudge but in my opinion you are punishing yourself more than them

After New Year they have started coming back towards crypto and there was positive movements for sure. I for one am playing there, you all need to make that decision on your own. And we will try together with SB to bring them back to former glory. This is just a beginning and that news coming Thursday came like a year ago   We will talk with them about importance of having in house rep here as well as at least updating the thread a little bit.

They actually returned since months ago, around April likely.

After about 5 months since their return, it's not too surprising that they now are back with marketing in Bitcoin forum, which is a place they are very familiar with one of best paid and long lasting signature campaign.

Based on the information you provided, sportsbet looks to be in the wrong in this case and should have credited the freebets to you regardless of the change in law. Its common for casinos to take a protective stand regarding laws but the player should be prioritized more.

This does not call for generralizations like you are doing. Except you can provide proof that this is how cases were handled with other people you shouldn't try to smear them. I followed a few of their disputes here and they were largely handled professionally publicly even though they involved actual funds that were won, not freebets. I will definitely pile on them if evidence of otherwise is provided, you did not provide that but went further to suggest that the new management may be untrustworthy with no proof of that either.

I do not think this is a barrier to you being accepted in the campaign too.

I simply said that was how i was treated by the OG sportsbetio, who everyone(and me) trusted so much. Its was a very high standard of trust and its not unreasonable to assume that new management,who might be same or different, can do the same thing if not worse.

I stated facts(with proofs) and a very direct normal presumption one can make.That was their professionalism and attitude when they thought they were shutting down the brand for good,is that highly unlikely to occur again?

I was threatened in DM, with what i do not know. Yet i am the one smearing them?

Many gamblers actually got surprised on their decision to distance themselves on crypto, then many are confused about what really happen and why they decide to do that.

But what's really important now is they are back in the business and try to bounce back on their absence here in forum. Let's see if they maintain those good standard and remain to a reliable casino.

Since I applied for the signature campaign I checked if my account still exists. First I saw that the country I reside in unfortunately is banned, with many other countries. Maybe somebody knows if it's ok to access sp.io via VPN or will it give me trouble as well? Can't even visit the site without VPN actually.
Anyway, hopefully somehow it's ok to use but I rather asked if somebody maybe already checked that out already.

Fellas, these questions are all legit and I'm sure they will all be answered at some point in time.

We just started with SB, they do have an understanding of what the brand meant to the BTT community and how it operated in the past.
What we will try to do is to help create the same atmosphere and trust in the brand as SB always had.

Don't expect miracles overnight but I think we're on a clear path forward. For now, let's just say that we're happy that one of the BTT's greats is back among us. We're working on the rest..
