If Bitcoin had a stable price, would it still be as popular?

Stable price is wrong and boring if that happens bitcoin or crypto users will lose excitement. We always love to spectate fluctuating cryptocurrency prices right? its a sign of healthy ecosystem.

Yeah of course a stable price will only make the user become bored. Because they can not trade, they can only use bitcoin for long-term investments

i am agree and the markets will not works good, like what is happen now, the market is not moving fast but its really slow. many of traders is waiting what will happen after this so they can make movements to selling or to buying more bitcoin. this condition is not good to buying or selling because we can get trap in the high price.

Yes , all of you are right and I also thinks that it is the beauty of the Bitcoin to have much fluctuations in the price and that leads into make profit also ( which is making it different from the gold and silver like assets ) , so people are attractive toward this virtual currency .
But here if we have Bitcoin which is stable price ( according to OP ) , then in my opinion it would be popular as is in the present time .
Because people are not using Bitcoin only for the earning with fluctuations price but they are making earnings from the altcoin trading and Bitcoin trading buy at low and sell at high , and this results into the use of btc more because we can use altcoins without Bitcoin ( since few can handle ) .
So Bitcoin will still remain popular even if it get stable price .

Basically I am looking for that and collecting BTC until that time, so I am only worried for the price of Bitcoin up rather than many other people joining it, although many other people joining it will result in a price increase.

Surely the price will increase in the next 5 to 10 years. But within those years for sure it will inflate and deflate as all currency is going through that. I don't think that the price of bitcoin will be stable. The volatility of the bitcoin makes the others to attract. As traders will love to play the market. If the price will be stable there's no thrill after all.

If the price of bitcoin will be stable then it will be possible to earn money on investments and deposits. This can significantly reduce the demand for bitcoin because it will cease to be different from conventional currencies. All that is valuable in the present situation that every owner of bitcoin can earn without risk. I hope it will be a long time.

Also maybe bitcoin will never be trend like this. No one can earn bitcoin from the high risk if bitcoin does have stable price like no one will do gambling and theres no more trading at all to get financial every week There will be investment and all are investments to earn profit. Hahah, I think everything happens because the world is already getting a fair division of the Lord. If gambling in the bitcoin in because fluctuating prices, then what about the traditional gambling that is already widely used by all ..? . But if the views of all of the things on our traditional gambling doesn't have a great advantage in it, but many of its users. So this is all happening because of the circumstances, so not because of the problem.

Indeed. If the price of btc goes stagnant, then mist likely people will look to other altcoins like etherium to do business with and may give other alt coins to overtake btc in terms of popularity. Though it would be unlikely that btc would cease to be volatile. The price would still be fluctuating up and down and we still have all the opportunities to profit from this feature.

It surely is! Stability of price is very important the more chances people will get attracted specially those who are badly in need of money for very important matter. If it had a stable price then it wouldn't be as difficult for people to invest money since the world spins and people always trust their money to the banks. Based on my experience back in university, I had experienced many failures and several attempts in the bank and it had no improvement for its rate. I mean it has really a stable and small interest until now so I would rather save it if bitcoin had a stable price and for sure it would be as popular as ever.

If bitcoin had a stable price,definitely it would get popular among merchants who now mostly don't accept bitcoin payment due to its high volatility.
But at the same time,traders who get profits mainly due to the volatility nature of bitcoin would loose interest in buying bitcoins.
Even normal people who buy bitcoins due to its rapid increase in price would also loose their interest in buying and holding bitcoins.

I don't think so that Bitcoin would be that popular if it had a stable price and it lacked volatility because many people who buy Bitcoins are for the potential gains they can earn because of high price changes. This volatility is one of the biggest advantages of Bitcoin over any other investment.

As traders, I will not get attracted when the bitcoin will be stable. There's no thrill nor excitement in the price. Traders like the prices that fluctuates because this is the nature of economy. Yes I agree with you. If bitcoin’s price has a fixed rate, the investors and the businessman would not be interested in it as well as other people. Investors are interested in bitcoin because its price is getting higher and higher. Investing in bitcoin will surely be a good source of profit from them.
   
I have told some of my friends about bitcoin a long time ago and they were not interested back then. I have told them that its price would get higher in the future but they would not believe me. Days ago, one of them have asked me about bitcoin again. He heard about the sudden increase in bitcoin’s price and he told me that he is interested now in bitcoin.

This is a good example for your question. If bitcoin does really have a stable price, many people would not be interested in it and it is not as popular as it is now.

You can't compare USD volatility to that of BTC. And I also disagree with you on your other statement, a bigger marketcap will certainly make bitcoin price more stable because it will take more money to move the price in either direction.

I beg to differ, I rather think a stable Bitcoin will be good for business and global money transfers since the price is stable over a period businessmen wouldn't be afraid to keep their money in Bitcoin so that they can easily transfer overseas (assuming fast confirmations and low fees). On the contrary what I think will get Bitcoin unpopular is the delayed confirmations and seemingly high fees.

But the volatility is also bitcoin's weakest point. Just like today, the price of bitcoin was $2900 and now it's just $2500. That's $400 difference and back then, the price of bitcoin was just even $400. Eventually, a thousand dollars movement will just become a normal thing to bitcoins and that would continue to grow as the price of bitcoin grows. Volatility is only an advantage when you bought bitcoins and the price has went up. Otherwise, you'd wish that bitcoin had a stable price as well.

Even fiat being volatil there is nothing as bitcoin, and there are already big players/investors over bitcoin, there is no way to keep ignore the crypto world. The only difference from fiat is that the banks and countries arent yet over crypto to manipulate it, atleast not oficial.
Bitcoin has growed from cents due to trading, if bitcoin had a fixed value like 1 dollars i doubt it would be alive nowadays, speculation is the market where the money is present deeply.
