1.Post image : not really. It incentivize good/long articles than simple images Wink #photography does work fine though
2. It's not PoS but DPoS
https://bitshares.org/technology/delegated-proof-of-stake-consensus/
http://bytemaster.github.io/bitshares/2015/01/04/Delegated-Proof-of-Stake-vs-Proof-of-Work/

Thanks for the answer.

1. Do you mean in the infographic or in Steemit? The examples in the infographic are supposed to be simple representations of posts that users are able to post into Steemit, like icons.

2. As above, the example is just an example of user content, not about what Steemit is.

Hope that explains it.

Hey how are we going to change the email address of our steemit account? I have been trying to check all links in my account and it seem like i can't find it.
I remember I register this account using facebook but is there anything I can do because I don't remember my password already and I want to reformat this desktop. If for instance, I may also lose this account.

The other day I read something about steemit in this forum which sounded like some sort of criticism about steemit and it's founders / owners and which also gave me an impression that steemit is going to join the list of scammers soon so my question is, whether steemit still legit or a scam? I hope my question doesn't offend anybody.

As far as I can tell there won't be any change to the mining instructions. The code will change to the new algorithm (equihash) on December 6. If I learn anything different I will post it here.

Switch to equihash is on December 6 (but 3 second blocks are friendly to solo mining)

So far it is only solo mining using the node software, which you have to compile yourself. Get from https://github.com/steemit/steem. There might be some mining guides upthread or if not then definitely on the previous thread.

vow i didnt know that you could mine steemit ,till now i was wondering what a bullshit way to earn some coins is to keep on writing threads and making people view yours ,if you have a tutors regarding the solo mining it would be more than helpful for noobs like me .

Yes, you can mine to get a chance to be included as a witness. Unfortunately, this has been dominated by two people for months. I'm not sure a change in the algo is going to change this domination. We'll see.

Are there any compilation of guides anywhere?
The official Steem guide on their docs aren't working for me..

I haven't mined in a few months, but this guide may help you get started if you don't mind compiling it yourself and running under linux/Ubuntu.
