It's really stupid. I have registered twice now and the email and the mobile number verified and every time the registration did not work. The email and my telephone number was never used. I did not get an email or confirmation from Steemit that my account is now activated after one week. Does anyone know what else to do? I signed up on Steemit yesterday. I provided a username, a email address and a mobile cell number. I confirmed my email address and input the received sms code. Then I got a message on the website that the team is checking my signup and coming back to me. I have not received anything yet. Then I tried to sign up again and realized that my username I used yesterday is still available  Does anyone know what happened? Was my signup cancelled? As far as I know they are taking like a week to approve the account. So if u have received the email with ur username, then better wait for a week. Otherwise contact someone on https://steemit.chat/channel/generalBro, I already told u contact someone on steemit chat. They will tell u. |

Even if you use Bitcoin through Tor, the way transactions are handled by the network makes anonymity difficult to achieve. Do not expect your transactions to be anonymous unless you really know what you're doing.

hello, where can i download a steem wallet?
You can check out this page for steem wallets under Application wallets section. Although I would suggest you to use steemit.com as a wallet, because there you can store and use your steem and it's associated currencies like Steem power and steem dollars. |

They're active but not on this forum. They mostly post to https://steemit.com/@steemitblog and https://steemit.com/@steemitdevMost recent post is a few days ago. |

The polo STEEM and SBD wallets have been down for a long time. I don't know why poloniex has such trouble with it. The bittrex wallet has had occasional downtime but is mostly working. |

That's an amazing feat man. Even I have been trying to get a casino to add steem as an option, bu those assholes just don't understand it. I am sure both steem and this luckygames casino will profit by adding steem to their casino. |

Not only publishing articles, you can make comments and get upvotes as well. Also you get some Steem Power for curation (upvoting other posts). |

Yes mainly by publishing articles and getting upvotes, participating in various unofficial contest, buying and being a witness (very few members can become a witness). Not only publishing articles, you can make comments and get upvotes as well. Also you get some Steem Power for curation (upvoting other posts). Haha, forgot about those 2 points, curation and comments. But probably it was because, for real curation rewards, you need to have substantial amount of SP and for comments upvotes, you need luck, as most people are not upvoting comments now a days, unless u are a whale. |

Anyone can become a witness if you own some steem (SP) and know how to run a node. You vote for yourself and you will get blocks (very) occasionally. The more votes you receive, the more blocks you will get, but even with just your own votes you will get blocks. In that sense it is like regular proof of stake. There is no limit on the number of witnesses although the popular explorer site ( https://steemd.com/witnesses) only shows the first 50. There can be many more. |

Glad to see more and more higher ranking forum members joining there. There are many intelligent people on this forum, who havent joined yet. I wonder why when they have enough skills to make some money there, while also spreading the word on cryptocurrencies, since Steemit articles get indexed better in Google, therefore it will spread the message quicker than posting to this forum. |

Yes theoretically anyone can become a witness, but you still need technical know how and it is a job of responsibility. You miss too many blocks, then you can be removed from the witness position also. And for your own upvotes to count as considerable witness votes, you need big amount of SP. But to be really called a witness and make profits (taking out the server costs etc.), you need whale votes also. So in that way only a few can become witness.  |
