Investing on the  house itself  would be the  best move  if you are intending to make  profits  hence its also  an  investment but as you said  we cant really expect fast profits hwne we are investing on the  house and  it would   took  long to profit unlike  on  playing gambling itself  you are just wasting your money.

But there is no proven history of any gambler was able to crack profits from gambling, so we are in discussion of finding out why choosing gambling when we are having another option in the name of investments.

Comparing to gambling, we have many living proof of rich people achieved their richness through investments. Very rarely, an investor might face losses due to going for it with improper analysis. Whereas with gambling, there is no possibility of any analysis, so investing would be the right choice imho always.

I think not all people are can make a good profit in gambling since gambling made only to give entartainment maybe if you are stay in sports betting its more easy to predict that you are playing even in poker.. even you are professional you can not make that high amount of profit its always base on luck..

If someone is already winning this doesn't mean that they are guaranteed to win or have higher chances in future, in fact any previous bets have zero influence on future bets, chances to win/lose always stay the same. "Luck" does not exist, you can't feel it or rely on it.
