cryptonote universal pool doesn't work out of the box with Modified cryptonote projects because of some hard coded values and yes i'll fix this pool issue since it's priority right now.
Use to work before i launched together with explorer but not sure what happened to blockunlocker which is causing the issue.

good job man. theres a reason cryptonotes fail. (little support out there and hard to set up pools)
keep on it, the platform looks great, iron it all out and the balls will get rollin ;Wink

CPU and GPU mining give similar results, but depend on the hardware. CPU mining is generally more energy efficient.

How to mine with the CLI release
  • 1. Download CLI release from https://github.com/lulworm/bitcedi/releases
  • 2. Extract the release to any folder or directory
  • 3. Run the daemon, bitcedid. Then start bitcediwallet and open or create a Bitcedi wallet. You can later import it to the GUI wallet.
  • 4. In bitcediwallet, type "startmining x", x being the number of CPU cores you wish to mine with. Leaving x blank will result in only 1 CPU core used for mining.
  • 5. Check your hash rate by typing "show_hr" in bitcedid. Hide it by typing "hide_hr". To see more commands in bitcedid and bitcediwallet type "help".

How come a private key isn't created when creating a wallet from the command line?

A private key is created along with address.

Only a view key is created when creating a wallet from the CLI Bitcediwallet.  The GUI wallet does however create a private key.

This is all that is created from the command line when creating a new wallet:

Code:
bitcedi wallet v0.1.0.cedi0001()
Nor 'generate-new-wallet' neither 'wallet-file' argument was specified.
What do you want to do?
[O]pen existing wallet, [G]enerate new wallet file or [E]xit.
g
Specify wallet file name (e.g., wallet.bin).
Wallet file name: viewkey.wallet
password: ***********
Generated new wallet: cxqAC2RcJvZBLu6vd1UAFXPt6pN7rKcHCAMXxrNwyWd9dddmmt4UNLk4fvsWb4SLqnJDqjsxJyzXb5WPm5oJB3Zu31KKmCpBi
view key: 4361848f836445a44c65457a00d4ace313797fdd948420338e7e13210d828f07
**********************************************************************
Your wallet has been generated.
Use "help" command to see the list of available commands.
Always use "exit" command when closing simplewallet to save
current session's state. Otherwise, you will possibly need to synchronize
your wallet again. Your wallet key is NOT under risk anyway.
**********************************************************************
Height 781 of 781
[wallet cxqAC2]:

The viewkey.wallet.address file that is created along with the viewkey.wallet file contains only the wallet address.  The private key is a much longer string than the view key.

Also, when creating a new wallet in the GUI a view key is not created.  Just a private key.

The example above is an empty wallet created merely for example purposes.

Well, It happened that the 100k fetched you 20 BXC, there were over 50 addresses payed. I mined from the beginning of launch and all i get is 10 BXC.
I can send you a screen shot if you want.

The payment was done automatically by the pool after it was fixed, so i guess, everyone got what he contributed.
Others were getting over 1000 BXC but who knows how much they spent on VPS to mine?

As you can see, i started solo mining at launch before moving to pool.

Yeah I'm mining with an i5, getting 30h/s, no payouts or pending or anything. Hashrate just too low I'm assuming?

I'm mining with an FX-6300 using the in-wallet miner and getting around 100-120 H/s according to the wallet and getting constant payouts using the pool adress and 4333 port. Maybe try switching to the low-hash ports, duno if that helps.
