It's very important to include the paymentID when sending coins to Cryptopia, that is sort of your main account address.

Is it possible that the network/wallet will lose the PaymentId?

I have a support ticket where the user said they sent it to their PaymentId but the block explorer does not show the PaymentId and out wallet tracker cannot find it.

I have never had this issue before with CryptoNote coins, so It could be that the user is mistaken, but thought I would check anyway.

Thanks

This is the first time I deposited to Cryptopia all my trading are from Yobit and CCEX and yes they've asked me about the payment id and have sent them already I hope they can resolve my issue so I can use and incorporate their service..

Hi Rob,

Thanks for being patient with this ticket, we have taken the BXC wallet offline until we get an answer from the BXC developer regarding your transaction not showing your PaymentId.

Thanks

To Developer:

This is the transaction the user sent, He sent it to his Cryptopia PaymentId, but as you can see on the explorer it is showing no paymentId

Could you please explain how this could happen?

Thanks

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that the user didn't actually include a payment id, otherwise it would show up in the blockexplorer. Cryptopia runs aeon, boolberry, and monero, they are all derived from the same codebase as bitcedi - bytecoin. Bitcedi is a straight fork of Digitalnote, which trades on Poloniex and Bittrex without issue. If there's no payment id on the blockchain, then the user didn't include a payment id.

Obviously, Rob don't understand how cryptonotes work.
He mentions Yobit and CCEX, but they don't have cryptonotes in there.
Maybe he treats the Bitcedi wallet like it is like any other bitcoin-clone wallet, but it is not.
If the the block explorer says that there is no Payment ID, then, he missed to put the Payment ID in the right field in the wallet (the last field on the "send" tab).
And by the way... What it means "they've asked me about the payment id and have sent them already"?
You don't send your Payment ID, you include it in the transaction.

The network/Wallet will not lose the PaymentID unless the sender is not following the right procedure in sending with PaymentID.
I am sure the sender is making a mistake somewhere and not the PaymentID missing.

8.6B coins total, so will we see same price shake out as XDN? Around 15 sat? Higher because slower emission? Lower because no unique features?

I doubt, since there is going to be a practical use for this.
the value, depends on the use and the demand for the currency and that's exactly where we are looking to strengthen.

I'd call it dead.  They don't answer legitimate questions:

But they've been posting in a thread they started after taking over this shitcoin

I noticed. I'll give him a week or three. The total volume on Cryptopia has been like 0.02 BTC; you gotta figure he isn't going through all the trouble of launching the coin for $10, but I guess crazier shit has probably happened. Maybe someone should fork the repo so the source doesn't just disappear...

I forked the coin and wallet repos. I couldn't easily fork the pool repo because I already have one with the same name. I don't know if there were actually any useful changes there or just his config files.

https://github.com/iamsmooth/bitcedi

I have no intention of doing any development on this coin at the present time. I just forked it so it doesn't disappear.
