Now that we're over 5,000 shares I've sent a PM to Friedcat asking for clarification on whether the PT qualifies for a board seat and a sample asic.

If we qualify for a seat on the board, we will be using the motions system to allow shareholders to vote on how the PT will place it's votes.  Thus all shareholders will get a say in how things are run.

If we qualify for a sample ASIC I will point it at a mining pool where everyone can see it mining.  I'll set the pool withdrawal address to the deposit address of the issuer account at btct.co.  Then 100% of the earnings will go out with the regular weekly ASICMINER dividends.

Cheers.

This is great news for the exchange, any word on whether friedcat opinion? And thanks, I appreciate your work.

Haven't heard back yet.  I'll ping him again tomorrow.  I know he's gotta be slammed right now.

I see no reason to "ask".  For all practical purposes you own those 5000 shares in friedcat's eyes, and you should be treated like everyone else.  I would be ASTONISHED if for some reason we are treated differently.

By the way... thank you for being willing to manage the ASIC if it were to be sent to us... I see this as going above and beyond what I would expect from you... so thank you for that!

Would it make sense to split each PT holding into groups of 5000 shares to maximize the value from being a board member? Multiple samples and such.

I had the same idea, and I am considering opening another PT for this purpose. I assumed people would be interested in making the most of their shares.

The more the merrier with the ASICMINER PT's, but there is one huge caveat to opening a bunch and running each near 5,000 shares.  That is that if you allow share withdrawals and you're right at 5000, then every time someone withdraws shares you'll have to find a way to bring in more to keep it topped off.

Hi all.  Transfers have been processed.

I've also plugged my linkedin URL into the asset details.  If you're a shareholder, feel free to connect with me.  Please send your btct.co username in the invite to connect.  (I get a lot of spam invites.)

Cheers.

Please tell me - am I correct?

There are 400 000 shares of ASICMINER
each worth more than 0.7btc

400 000*0.7 = 280 000 BTC
BTC is at least 170 USD each

280 000 * 170 = 47 600 000 USD

2013 Ferrari is $379 800
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Ferrari-458-SPIDER-2013-FERRARI-458-SPIDER-1K-MILES-330K-MSRP-PLUS-/190820213175?pt=US_Cars_Trucks&hash=item2c6dc561b7

well...
ASICMINER is worth 47600000/379800 = 125 Ferrari cars...

is friedcat very rich? am I dreaming this?

His current valuation is definitely high.  We'll see if he delivers long term.

Good point, share withdrawals might have to be nixed as an option.

Burnside, any word from fried cat about the sample asics?

I have not heard back.  I'll PM him again.  We're at over 10,000 shares now, so we're well into the realm of safely keeping a 5,000 count.

Amazing.  Thanks again everyone for making the PT a great success!

I would think it should be eligible for more then 1, otherwise could just create a new PT under a different user and address and accomplish the same thing.

Thank you!

Do you know what is the day/time limit to purchase PT and still receive dividends for the week?

Thanks!

Visit the ASICMINER-PT page here, click the history tab and you can see a history of the dividends sent to PT share holders.  The dividends are issued once a week.  Is that detailed enough?

Probably the safest bet is to get in the day before ASICMINER's divs come out, which lately has been Wednesdays.

Cheers.

To clarify further, as long as you hold the shares the instant before dividends are paid, you are entitled to them.
There is no EX-Div date.

Have we got board member things worked out?

http://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/1c88bt/asicminer_is_going_to_release_this_little_cute/c9e6zr2

According to that comment this reddit user claims board members will be able to purchase three of the new 300mh asic's at $39 USD each.  Can we confirm this?  Is there any way or system we have in place for PT owners to get these kinds of updates sent to us considering we are part of a board member (or should be)?

Burnside would you be willing to run these boys?

Questions GALORE!

That was my understanding as well, but a public auction of thousands of these little guys would be... rough would it not?
