This is a really cool idea, will for sure look into buying a few in the fall after you get some good reviews back.
Like the idea of the bitcoin not being circulated either,it appeals to me having something physical like this and they look pretty awesome.
Could use them at live poker games, well maybe not a good idea to have that much sitting on the table.
Might be a idea to have 1/4 and 1/2 coins.

Indeed! If you play poker with them, you'll be glad to find out that these were designed to be the same size as the "large-style" 43mm casino/poker chips!

:-)

For custom. I have the sad answer. They were marqued with a value of 600€.
The coin arrive tomorow and fedex called me to warn me I'll have to pay 185€ of VAT.

That's a pity. I should have paid VAT only on the token. As Bitcoin is VAT exempt in europe.

That's really a bad mistake to not having put details.

VAT exempt bitcoin
+ x€ box and token. Subject to VAT.

@bobby. Can you change this and do something for me ?
My order is 1050.

Don't know if you can call fedex or refund me a little something? Wink

If that is true I'm sending it back. The total value isn't even 600 euros :/

Shame indeed.  Big surprise, BTCC not answering questions again.   Undecided Roll Eyes

Good luck to those trying to get an answer about returns in time.

Looking at this mess, I'm out.
I cannot afford to pay such taxes on customs for a token like that.

And here in India they will charge double to what sardokan stated above.

Sorry to say but I cannot buy a loaded coin like that. If someone wants to sell an unloaded one after they have peeled the sticker can offer me a price through pm. I am looking forward to minerjones for this though Wink

Oh, that's very bad, it will be a very expensive coin. I was waiting to know if anyone have some problems with customs before ordering one Btcc coin.

What is this??
I have asked about this before and no answer.....

This is horrible.
I just placed an extremely LARGE order and I don't think anyone will pay a 4BTC tax... this is insane.

Your estimated VAT's would be 4.99 BTC ($2,679.64).

We can send the coins back since their ToS allows refunds:

Quote
Our return policy lasts 14 days. If 14 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange.

To be eligible for a return, your BTCC Mint coin must be in the same condition that you received it, and the private key must be intact and not tampered with. The coin must also be in the original packaging.

To initiate your return, please contact us at mint@btcc.com

The shitty part is that the shipping fees don't get refunded Sad.

Quote
You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.

Hi all,

Yes, for the very first few shipments, we made the mistake of declaring the full value (coin token + BTC) for the customs value, which resulted in your large VAT bill.

We quickly remedied that based on the advice on this forum, but unfortunately, a few packages already went out.

We know who those orders went to. So an apology, we will give you credit on your next order at BTCC Mint, for the extra VAT amount that you incurred.  Please send email with your order details to: mint@btcc.com

Going forward, the value declaration on all international orders will NOT include the BTC value.

thanks,
Bobby

Is it possible to just refund the amount that was over-paid? Now you are forcing people to buy another coin instead of correcting the mistake that was made.
