BTW do you guys remember the BTCC April Fouls Video? Bitcoin Mining Documentary Aired in ChinaAt 2:31 you see the below: Zoomed In: And flat: You can clearly see it's a gold coloured coin and it says 1 Bitcoin (with the number instead of "one" like in the Titanium version). Also you don't see any print of V Series or the year. So I presume these were from the tests that Bobby mentioned. The question in the screenshot seems appropriate too: how much would you sell a Bitcoin like this for? Maybe they have tested different materials before deciding on Titanium but I think there will be some surprises in the future, maybe Titanium (gold or silver plated coins)? Or made of other unusual metals for coins? Oh and I think the "V" in V Series stands for the roman numeral 5, of course I may be wrong. They may be counting down from V (5), IV (4), III (3), II (2), I (1) or up, however why start with 5 not 1? Maybe it's the 5th series after the tests or relates to the different materials they are going to use for different series? The 5BTC version is still a V Series, maybe different designs? They may be counting down from how many millions Bitcoins are still to be mined, currently 5,364,100... I'm only assuming... Maybe is just a V. I was born curious

I also have to say the coins even inside the plastic case have dust particles and some minor scuffs but can't tell for sure unless I open it up which I'm reluctant to do. Some of the paperwork shows signs of titanium dust. Need to make sure you guys assemble them in a clean environment. As a collector I like to leave coins unopened in their plastic containers so would be great if this could improve. Maybe "dirty coins" will have more value?

Really nicely done! I like it. (It's also nice that these V-Series coins are all straight from the coinbase transaction, so it's incredibly easy and transparent as to the number of coins minted and redeemed.) Since you've done such a nice job with your website at monitoring our production, I'll give you some cool tidbits and also an important correction: 1) the 50 address in your first 2 blocks (393716 & 393816) are actually NOT mined by us at BTCC. Therefore, they were not part of any BTCC Mint coins at all. I'm not sure how your algorithm picked up these two blocks. If you could, please remove it from your DB so that users have more accurate information. 2) the next 4 blocks (394051, 394111, 405240, and 405251) were ours, but actually mined into our "artists proof" coins. These are not the ones you see for sale now. We've been using them for testing, which is why you see some redemptions. We have also saved some as souvenirs, and given some away to people. 3) blocks 409881 and onwards, are truly the 2016 V Series, One Bitcoin editions, made of Titanium. Some early ones here have also been used for testing, photo shoots, and some damaged ones have been redeemed, etc. Keep up the good work Anduck! And stay tuned for more exciting products from BTCC Mint! thanks, Bobby Anduck, if you want to determine which blocks are for BTCC Mint coins, you can look for the "BTCC" in the coinbase block header of the transaction. All BTCC Mint coins should have that in the header of coinbase. This should help you filter out all of the non-BTCC blocks. Thanks, Bobby! Good feedback. I've now set the system to only look for BTCC-mined blocks. Also updated the site a little - shows the Five Bitcoin series coins now too. These coins are definitely cool! I really like the material choice and that the bitcoins are mined straight into them. -A Anduck, if you could, please add back the 4 earlier blocks? (394051, 394111, 405240, and 405251) Those are indeed BTCC Mint coins, just artists proofs, so it would be good to have them tracked as well, as some of them are in the public. thanks, Bobby

In their defense, certain shipments (few shipments) were listed at the full value of the coin. They did say they would offer a discount on another coin purchase with a discount of the VAT charged. I suggest you contact them and/or complain to FedEx about it. VAT on my coins ended up being 85 Canadian for a large shipment. I have yet to see if FedEx gets me for the import to the USA, but with the size of my order, I could get hurt. Also, if you get a discount and/or coupon that you don't want to use, I am sure someone else would like to get it (at a discounted rate) from you.

I got really lucky. BTCC also listed my coin with the full value but I didn't get charged with VATs at all. I guess it slipped through customs . I still don't like their solution of giving a discount on a future purchase. That forces you to buy a new product instead of fixing their fault. A huge company like BTCC could easily refund the select people that were overcharged with VATs and still make a decent profit. Handling issues like this in a professional matter is also great advertisement and could increase their sales.

But I do not ordering more. 2016 V Series, Five Bitcoin cost 6.00 BTC it's about 800+ EUR Tax It is a mistake to send fully loaded coins. They can not enter a smaller value, insurance cover to the value entered on the bill. And that is a mistake?, it's bullshit. BTCC will not risked loss of shipment ( coin plus BTC). I would suggest to ask how many coins were stolen in transit ( Titan, Denarium or other.) Money at the counter and business rolling. Again, I just wanted to know how coins will be marked for import??
I hope they are marked as the coin value and not the loaded value. If they are marked with loaded valie, many people are going to end up paying large VAT and import duties/taxes. This will be a nightmare......
Please respond....
Thanks
