This looks like a potential scam should it go on the pending scam list?

If I was in the ops shoes, and I was legitimate, there is little else I would have done different.  It's clear people don't like the pre-order model.  By announcing a few days before the website was available, I'd stir up excitement so that come prime time, I'd be guaranteed to sell out.

However.

If was an elaborate scammer, I would do the same thing.. and only accept BTC or wire transfer for payment.  (Non reversible methods.)

If he accepts paypal and CC, then he's either not a very bright scammer, or it's legit.

M

I mine at Kano's Pool because it pays the best and is completely transparent!  Come join me!

I will get back to the forum first thing in the morning, and post further information.
Just wondering which morning that will be, maybe X-mas morning 2023?

Hello Everyone!

I'm posting to announce our ASIC product, PrimeAsic which does up to 80Ghash/s using a little over 800W power.

We are a Hungary based company, started developing this project in 2012 June, finished it without ANY pre-order money at all.
Now the units are ready to ship, or to be picked up locally.

Our webpage is currently being developed as I post here, please give us a day so it will be fully finished.
Domains owned by us: bitasic.com, btcasic.com, 80gigahash.com, primeasic.com
All other names are not owned by us, and are possible scam attempts to misuse our name.

I will constantly post with pictures of the miner equipment, specifications, prices, company details and if requested the registration certificate, phone number, address for local pickup and I will try to respond to every questions you may have.

And at last, here is a proof of it mining:
http://s11.postimage.org/ft04z719b/asic2.jpg
http://s16.postimage.org/jaes7rbhd/asic3.jpg

You can go to ozco.in pool, check the user top 20 and see us there:)
Mining will be stopped after our page comes live.

Stay tuned for more info!

Can you post images of the Prime ASIC miner itself--the chip, board, etc... Thanks!

This really has gone from the Sublime to the Ridiculous. 8 fucking pages of people thinking this might even be real, debating if it is or not.

GET A FUCKING GRIP!!

Greed and the chance of a fast buck is taking over your logical processes. If you even think this is vaguely real you deserver to loose all your money.

If i was a Mod or System Admin here, i would be deleting all these bullshit threads and saving space on my server.  Cry

There's one really confident yes and a bunch of hesitant or very poor no bettors.

You have to admit coming from nowhere they have a hell of a publicity strategy. Given that they haven't taken any money yet, I'd probably call this a troll rather than a scam if this is just vaporware. Whipping all of these people into a frenzy like this, it would be one hell of a troll.

number still unavailable...

yet, if this is a scam, why would they propose 'picking it up locally'?
