This could be pushed but with the right team that will provide the good stuff for the coin. We'll see if we can have this one this year.

We'll see how far this idea could go.

PM me for invite in slack.

Sent a PM to you OP. I think this can actually work. Everything should just be laid out according to plan. Lahat naman nagsisimula sa simula. This coin got our credentials so the least we can do siguro ay suportahan ito.

very nice idea chief. basically btc is not yet accepted in merchants here. we need to cash out first our btc to use it in shopping and that is hassle. im in if anyone want to make a coin.

Minsan nga nakakabwisit din kasi kahit na may bitcoin wallet tayo sa phone at may laman di naman natin nagagamit on most cases.

Opo same problem

Let's try to work on that so it won't be much of a problem but I guess this will be better addressed via a debit-card backed with the altcoin. So you buy 100 pesos worth of altcoin, deposit it into your account then click fund to my debit card so your debit card will have that 100 pesos and that debit card can be used as a normal debit card like other banks.

Actually that's part of the plan as well. But the roadmap will focus on websites that will provide usage to the coin where Pinoys can truly benefit like freelancing. Remittance we'll see if we can have a PesoCoin -> Peso exchange that will tap coins.ph so you can get more value out of your crypto instead of using BTC then convert it to Peso in coins.ph losing 22 USD every 1 BTC you transfer. Freelancing website is great as well so you don't need to use paypal anymore since we all know that it takes a while before you can withdraw your funds from paypal plus you need to pay for the debit card here in the Philippines. E-Commerce, let's try on creating a payment gateway or API that will allow online shops to accept PesoCoin at the same value of their retail price in Pesos which later on will they encash via the exchange platform.

Future projects can be, debit card, tapping gaming industry etc etc

Kailangan din nga pala nito ng mga designers na malalagay most likely under the Marketing Department, they will be the one in charge of creating banners, videos, signature, logo, etc for promotional purposes.

But take note, the payments on this one will most likely in coins or btc (delayed because we have to wait for the release of funds during ICO).

If we're not going to go to the ICO stage and make it as bounties based, there will be way less funds available for marketing and development usage.

If it will go to ICO, roadmap will be based on the collected BTC like:
10 BTC - Freelance website, QT Wallet (Windows, Linux and MAC), Mobile wallet (Android and IOS)
20 BTC - Local exchange Peso <-> coin (either making use of coins.ph, e-peso.ph or both)
30 BTC - APIs for merchant support
60 BTC - Gambling website
etc
etc

This is just a sample.

This is a way to be sure that I can get as much idea as possible on what are the views of my fellow 'kababayans' with regards to creating a new coin. I already have most of the tools to setup a coin, devs, coin details, etc. Just want to make sure that the first step is the one that will get the most number of interests and participants. 50 BTC can do a lot already but a lot more can provide way better service that will make use of the coin so I'm leaning towards ICO but the recent failure of Waves, Rise, Dao (hacked), etc where investors end up at a loss after the ICO made me think twice. The failure left a negative image to ICOs and the idea may no longer be supported. However, to protect the dumping of the coins services will first be completed before launching it on exchanges to avoid dumpers. The coin must already be functional before it hits the exchanges so dumpers will think twice about dumping the coins.

For me ICO siguro, di ko sure kung may funds pag free distribution e. Baka mas matagal ang development ng coin pag free distribution. Kung free distribution, hanap kayo ng early investors para magawa ung coin, websites, services etc.

If it's free distribution of a certain amount of coins, we'll be looking for initial investors and make them understand that the ROI will be depending on the coin value in the long run. This could actually be feasible depending on the how people accept ICOs today. If this ICO was done last year, it can easily acquire funds.

Looks like this will really be a go. Only thing left will be the approach whether it'll be thru ICO or another.

Free route will take a while for a coin to be distributed. Also, I noticed that freely distributed coins are open to dumping because people won't bother selling them because they didn't use any money to buy it.

The truth is there will always be dumpers whether users got the coin  free or bought if you are going to set up a new coin through Ico that means you have already knows the pros and the cons,if you can reveal who you are behind that username like all the others who does it,then your Ico has a chance ..

Yes, free or not there will be dumpers only that if you got it free it's easier to dump the coin at whatever price because you didn't put your money in it. Of course, if there will be an ICO the team will be revealed especially the services that the coin might provide in the future will require the team to register an official business as well.

It would be good if a free distribution will be implemented as what VPNCOIN did and it was very successful....Likewise, ICO is also good, but is only dominated by bullish investors who'll dump the coin later on. What we need is a cryptocurrency with a sense of community involvement...

Yup ICO is being dominated by investors, that is if the coin has no use prior to its release to an exchange. But if these dumpers see the potential and the usage of the coin, they will think twice before selling their coins.

I'm working on another ICO at the moment. Pero I'm also contacting the necessary guys that will be working for this Filipino coin like graphics designer, dev and marketer.
