Hi guys,
Can we have our own crypto coin, controlled by the Filipino community where its main purpose is to for it to be easily adopted across different Philippine-based merchants like Ensogo, Metrodeal, Lazada etc? And hoping as well that coins.ph will have it as well. I know that BTC is already big but there are still untapped potential especially in the online merchants area, and many others. A successful crypto coin can be big here in our country due to most Filipinos being online most of the time despite the slow mobile connection. Of course a lot of planning and negotiations needs to be done in partnering with different companies but we can present the coin as a convenient mode of payment.
I know that we need funding from the International community as well and give them a use for it but once we're successful here in our country in partnerships with different merchants then it can also be adopted to other countries. We'll take the great features, low inflation rate, minimal number of coins, etc to make it a solid coin and not just another P&D coin.
nice idea sir, if I remember it correctly we do have some open topic here in regards of naming a coin for possible alt for us Filipino's and we gave our name but now if we are serious in creating this we need more members to participate as we see we are growing big here from this forums and Filipino's support from different alt out there was a huge one, so if we can developed our own it is really better to make it possible to be use on our everyday business. count me in sir.

There are lots of things that can be done but a local coin has great potential. It'll happen though one way or another, I just think it's better if it'll come from a Filipino community.

Minsan nga nakakabwisit din kasi kahit na may bitcoin wallet tayo sa phone at may laman di naman natin nagagamit on most cases.

Thanks for the link, sadly it didn't gain some traction. I think, it will be better if the coin is of POS instead of POW since POW is not logical here in our country due to high electricity price.

We have to make things better than how coins does this. Or if we can, have a separate peso-coin exchange where the price difference is less between buying and selling (coins has 500 peso difference between buy-sell).

Hdi ata Filipino eh haha The way I see it is that they found to potential and tried to make good use of it. But if it needs to be successful then Filipinos must manage the coin as it requires dealing with local merchants as well.

Benefits with this partnering merchants must be provided for them to accept the coin but this seems possible. We just need a strong team that will work with it.

true, but ang problem is if we launch our coins paano mo masasabi na iaadopt din ang coins na ito? im not against it but i don't think there is a need to create one but if you have a good plan i am willing to support the idea
