with new wallet updates, i don't know what's the reason behind of this certain dumped maybe there's a news from behind which only few people knows or its just a shake from a big whale to control the price and make some panic with those weak holders which is not familiar with crypto investment as long as there still progress we still have chance to see the price to went up just keep holding for a little while.

Whats the story with the new wallet? ive got a small amount of vcash on bittrex but its been in maintenance for ages now so its not like i can buy sell r withdraw it.

Both.  Vcash is definitely dead now, but some people are still trying to work on it.

It's terrible they have no respect for the recently deceased and insist on desecrating Vcash's cold, stiff corpse instead of letting it rest in peace.

Hi guys, I have 10,000 coins in an old wallet that I was using for staking, this is back when John Conner was running the show.

What I want to know is what's the safest way to upgrade so I don't lose the coins? Preferably someone who has done it already

Just back up the wallet.dat file in the app data folder to your desktop or anywhere else and download the new wallet. Copy the wallet.dat file in the new app data folder for vcash and run the new wallet.

Its a shame this coin has ended up the way it has, It was honestly one of my most underrated coins i owned and looked like it had the most potential. Im not sure why jc decided to drop out the way he did, Could have possibly gone on top great things. I was close to buying enough to start staking too so im kind of glad i dodged that bullet now but  sad all the same.

Just back up the wallet.dat file in the app data folder to your desktop or anywhere else and download the new wallet. Copy the wallet.dat file in the new app data folder for vcash and run the new wallet.

 you can find the latest (community) wallet here:
https://vcash.info/wallets.php

if you have your private key(s) you can just run the wallet and let it help you create a new HD wallet. save the seed, then import the keys. don't forget to encrypt the new wallet with a secure pswd, and also create (several) new backup wallet.dats

if all you have is a wallet.dat for backup, then run the wallet but then close it, and edit config.dat to "deterministic":"0", save, then copy your backup wallet.dat to the vcash folder (overwrite or move any existing empty wallet.dat)

  if you need help with the rpc commands, the vcash wiki is here

  i'm told it's about 3 hrs to sync these days
