I usually set a limit and not go over that, not too hard to do for me and I believe by doing that, I'm preventing getting addicted.

Actually to whom you are telling i don't know OP is asking us how we will know when to stop our bet. According to me i will not play much but i like sport betting so here i am not betting daily when i am sure that time only i bet if my choice was wrong and i lost it means i will not bet few days. In dice game and all i will not play much some times i will just for fun with very low amount here if i feel i am loosing my money i will stop there.

i think that there is two questions:

How much you want win every day???

How much you want lost every day???

And try to respect what you decide.

Dont count the looses, because if you count the loosses you maybe will try to recover it and then the loosses will be higher...

so

just thing in this two questions:

The answer for each one mut be not too low, no too high...

There is no need to wait until you really double your money because if you do that you wont be able to achieve it. Lets say if you have 0.01 it will not be big problem if you lose it but for 1 btc, it is really risky to double your money but if you win that is good so how about if you lose it? This will be a problem. Usually people will use much balance but earn a little may be 10% of their balance, it is much more safer

As my experience while i am gamble i have a different starting capital for small amount i am just expecting to have fun.. and for minimum capital i just trying my if i can make a profit even a small amount in few plays..

it is a famous saying that goes like this: "Stop while you are ahead"

it means if you got lucky somehow and won some money in your bets that was considered profit then you have to quit gambling for that session and cash out that amount because in my experience whenever you win and make a profit if you continue gambling then you will soon hit a losing steak which will lead to losing all that you have won so far and then some.

so it is better to cash out the profit, enjoy the moment. and then come back to gamble some more.

Okay, but how I find if its getting risky when I am playing dice on a particular strategy and its just running and I am a parrot watching it ? I think there is no way to guess when to stop or even how to stop.

Another option is set for how many hours you are going to play gambling for the day.
If you made profit, then good. If not, then that's life since gambling is all about luck.
You may as well set yourself for how many wager you will do for the day instead of how many hours.
