I think both,because the reason to gamble is fun and profit,i gamble because for fun because i want  to won and if i won it makes my feeling happy even if many risks involved.If i will luck to win i have many profits and investment to gamble again.It might be increases my profit.

That is obvious that everybody want to win however some people want to win huge amount while some just want to ahve fun. Depends on what your motive is. It's easy money, why wouldn't anyone want that right? But then again, the risk is really high, and that's just going to make you more unsure of it. I think your insight was wrong because at first gambling is not meant to earn profits ,in the other side the owner or manager is .
Playing to have fun and entertainment is what gambling the second will be the profit if you are lucky enough or its just a bonus for us when we won. Losing huge amount is not the nature of gambling its your own fault investing and having profit in the wrong place.
