That is going to be the future of bitcoin, as long as many are going to use it is going to help the economics of bitcoin to have good future.

Bitcoins are move innovative but the trust issue is not good, some of the altcoin developers are just here to scam the investors and that has been happening and has happened in the past, we just have to be very careful in investing with altcoins.

Just as important, IMO, is "merchant acceptance" of Bitcoin.  BTC truly needs more goods & services providers who will take BTC as payment.  Some already do, but not nearly enough.

If Bitcoin price keeps going up, that will attract attention of BTC buyers, and with luck more merchants will then opt to accept it.

I don't think merchant acceptance is going to affect bitcoin all that much.  Only the diehards want to spend theirs.  Most people treat it as a store of value and only trade it for fiat--and I'm in that category, too.  Having said that, OP's words are correct.  Mass adoption (as a currency or store of value) is key, and no one can predict the future.  That last one is the most important.  Lots of bullhickey being splattered around this forum.

there is already millions of bitcoin related sites available on the web and they are promoting bitcoin all over the world pretty good. I agree we need more relaible sites. but what we need even more importantly is ban the scammers, ponzi, and fake sites. bitcoin is full with scammers.. it is sad but true that almost 80% of bitcoin sites are ponzi scam. and this is the biggest obstacle for bitcoin's future success,

And I think that the future of bitcoin economics is going to be on fast pace slowly but surely the people is going to know about it and they are going to realize that bitcoin is really the one that can give our needs conveniently.

in my personal experience in my country i have seen many people who are becoming more interested in bitcoin, a lot have been asking me (on another forum in my language out of here) about bitcoin and how they can buy it because they want to use bitcoin for a payment of some services like buying a VPN or paying for their hosting plans, and many more.

Different industries now are getting involve with bitcoin that is why people are also getting interested with bitcoin and that is good for the economy in overall as we can expect the growth of adopters, on the other hand, there is not question that the gambling industry is the major contributor of the economy of bitcoin.

Online gambling is useful because its serves the purpose of redistribution of existing bitcoins, there is no doubt about it. But to say that it counts towards expanding bitcoin usage as a "means of payment for goods and services" is like saying that Las-Vegas casinos contribute to the increase in the standard of living...

I've been hearing about Steam using Bitcoin (or being just about to start using it) since I registered in this forum. I guess 3 years is more than enough to declass it as a "new" service. Someone said that Microsoft was going to use Bitcoin as well (or had already been using it). Wtf, I heard it myself, but when I asked to provide a link where I could actually buy something from them (for Bitcoins), silence was the only reply I got. But it's all idle talk since I am expecting a sort of research paper (if there is any) with numbers showing that Bitcoin usage does really expand...

Definitely, no doubt about it, if bitcoin will die the same will happen to all altcoins. Altcoins is just the children of bitcoin and without bitcoin they are nothing. With today's new developed altcoins, they somehow help bitcoin as in their promotion they always acknowledge bitcoin.
