Did you know you can mine NXT (and buy Ardor with it on the Nxt Asset Exchange!) in the Lucky node project?
Computational and bandwidth requirements are very low - some users run it on a Raspberry Pi.
Run the node 24/7 or as often as you can while you work or play.
Join in with the over 100 nodes that are already in the project.

I saw in the Nxt thread that there will be a snapshot for ARDOR. What is it for ?
For the final distribution of Ardor?

How will the distribution happen?  Depending on how many Ardor token I own or NXT I own?

Hi snapshot for Ardor was last year (july -oct)
Ardor will go live on mainnet between july and september this year.
During the live moment there will be a single snapshot for 50% Of the IGNIS  (1st child chain on ardor) based on NXT holdings.
So if you hold 1 NXT you get 0.5 IGNIS.

The other 50% Of IGNIS will be sold in an ICO. Details are not known yet.

On Ardor there will be at least 4 child chains to start with.
So more child chains means you have the more chance to forge blocks and earn $ARDR transactions fees.

I think that NXT and Ardor have the potencial to be between the top 10 criptos but somehow the marketing sector is not working as it should be. Most newcomers to the cryptoworld don't know the amazing history of NXT  as the first to innovate in a bunch of ways.

ARDOR holders will get Ardor tokens. Ardor tokens will be used on the forging chain of Ardor platform.

NXT holders will get IGNIS tokens. IGNIS tokens will be used on the first child chain of Ardor platform.

Another round of ICO for the first child chain, right?  So there is a lot of value put on the system: nxt, ardor, child chains. Will these dilute the total value (or price) ?

NXT coin holders got 100% ARDR last year. Jelurida and the Nxt Foundation only received as much ARDR as they had NXT. This year, NXT holders will get 50% IGNIS. Jelurida will receive the other 50%. More news will follow shortly from them about that. All NXT holders keep 100% of their NXT.

100% NXT -> NXT holders
100% ARDR -> NXT holders during the snapshot in 2016
50% IGNIS -> NXT holders in Q3 when Ardor is launched

Not yet, as Ardor is still in development (experimental Ardor clients exit, with test-ARDR). But you have an asset on NXT that you can trade (there and on exchanges like Poloniex).

If it's not too much coins you're talking about, you can use an online node to do your transactions.
Else you can download the curret Nxt blockchain, which means you only have to synch a couple blocks to be up to date.

Use Nxt client to withdraw Ardor tokens to: https://nxtforum.org/nrs-releases/nrs-v1-11-5/

You can use it in Lite client mode, no need to download the blockchain.

To activate the Lite client mode:

1) Unpack Nxt client if you use the zip link or install if you use the installer.

2) Locate directory nxt/conf.

On Windows it is here: C:\Users<UserName>\AppData\Roaming\NXT\conf

Mac: ~/.nxt/conf

Linux: /conf folder under the root installation

3) Create a text file nxt.properties in this directory with a single line:

nxt.isLightClient=true

start the Nxt client and it will not be downloading the blockchain.
