No, you get Ignis for your NXT holdings. If you hold ARDR asset now, it will teleport to Ardor mainnet as ARDR token here.

Thanks for the replies.
Okay, have these questions
1) What will happen to NXT tokens? 1.1) If they dont disappear what will be their role?
2)Regarding IGNIS, can we trade them in an exchange if we would like to? thanks

1. Nothing will happen with, you will still hold your NXT tokens. Ardor will be separate blockchain and Nxt blockchain will be used for use cases, which do not need Ardor design. 2. Ignis will be traded on exchanges, but decision is taken by exchanges. Or you will be able to trade Ignis inside Ardor platform, if there will be gateways and child chains pegged to btc, eur, usd or others.

Hello So I have 1015 NXT in the freewallet app. I also have 105 ARDR in BITTREX exchange. Where should I keep my ARDR coins? How much internet data does running the NXT client consume? Also about Ardor platform.. how many projects are in progress as it's child chains? I think I have an interesting idea, on how to get real people to use a childchain on ARDOR. It will take a lot of work, but I haven't been so hyped about my thoughts & some writing for a long time If you consider my idea good, how much support I could expect from NXT/ARDOR crew? I wouldn't want to publish the idea that I have here. Who should I contact in regards of possible future collaboration?

Behind both is Jelurida BV. Look at the teem https://www.jelurida.com/teamBe fully aware Jelurida is a 100% PRIVATE, FOR PROFIT, company whose main interest, obviously, is the sale of software and services. FOR PROFIT. The ONLY use Jelurida has for NXT (now) and ARDOR (in the future), is as a cheap (and vital) network support for IGNIS and all the other child chains that will come after that. Jelurida gets the profit (more than 99%) and you get the crumbs (call it "gas"). Wow. Thanks for the heads up!

In the Nxt client. https://nxtforum.org/nrs-releases/nrs-v1-11-5/Activate Lite mode, and blockchain will not be downloaded, very little bandwidth consumed. a) Unpack Nxt client if you use the zip link or install if you use the installer. b) Locate directory nxt/conf. On Windows it is here: C:\Users<UserName>\AppData\Roaming\NXT\conf Mac: ~/.nxt/conf Linux: /conf folder under the root installation c) Create a text file nxt.properties in this directory with a single line: nxt.isLightClient=truestart the Nxt client and it will not be downloading the blockchain.

NXT 1 : 0.5 IGNIS was supposed to happen. Hasn't happened yet. A few weeks left to go. NXT 1 : ARDOR 1 happened last year.

No, it was always to be released on the Ardor platform, which was always scheduled for Q3, 2017. July-September are the months when it is scheduled for launch. Soon now. If I were to bet, I'd bet on August.

ATM you cannot forge with Ardor, as it is an asset on Nxt platform. Except on testnet and you need to have 1000 ARDR minimum to be able to forge.

I'm under the impression that Ardor is the only real coin that make true effort for scaling, but maybe I'm wrong ? What other coins is there with good scaling support ?
How many transactions per second can ardor handle ?
