Can someone explain how ARDR the asset will become ARDR the coin I'm currently holding ARDR. THX
Your ARDR assets balance will be shapshotted and the same balance will appear in Ardor mainnet as ARDR token. The same passphrase you use in Nxt now will open the same Ardor account id. So, keep your passphrase safe. Clean and simple, thanks much!

Q4. No specific day is set - maybe around end November. Your ARDR assets balance will be shapshotted and the same balance will appear in Ardor mainnet as ARDR token. The same passphrase you use in Nxt now will open the same Ardor account id. So, keep your passphrase safe.
Has there been any discussion in regards to any other means of redeeming your ARDR What other means do you need? Your ARDOR will be automatically right there in your ARDOR wallet.

There are those of us who've lost our passphrases (like by washing the USB your passphrases were on), but still can login into NXT NRS wallet. Noob mistake, don't comment. Back to the original statement, has there been any talks of other means of redemption?

as far as i understand Ardor is a platform (parent chain) and Ardor as coin has less features. On the other hand ignis is a child chain in Ardor Platform with lots of features?
so what is the purpose of having Ardor as a coin in the Ardor Platform? Does Ardor miners earn fees or something for every transaction being made in child chains?
You are right with all your statements: Ardor is a token created for "consensus" purposes only. The "minters" earn (pretty expensive) Ardor transaction fees when the "child chain" bundlers bundle transactions into it. "Child chains" are not really blockchains: they are a chained list of transactions called "ChildChainBlock" transactions that are bundled into the main "Ardor" chain. This "two-tier" design has two purposes: - first, it allows to create coins (as "child chains") where the transaction fees can be paid in the child chain currency (the concept has been descibed as "Monetary system done right", when it was presented) - second, it allows a very interesting pruning mechanism. Only the first 1440 blocks of every child chain must be validated by all nodes, the rest is "pruned". That is possible without security drawbacks only because the Ardor main chain (validated completely by all nodes) and its "forgers" are making sure that the ChildChainBlock transactions are legitimate (containing, for example, no double spends). So the ARDR system is able to process, with the same bandwidth/storage cost resources, about 30 times more transactions than the old Nxt system. But doesn't this just make it all more centralized? It's not a coin i can support

You can use the Nxt client as a network explorer. That's what everyone does most of the time actually. You're not logging in, you're just seeing the contents of the account as they appear in the blockchain. If you don't have the corresponding passphrase, you won't be able to send any transaction from the account. Of course the exception to this is if you logged in to your wallet introducing your passphrase, and checked the box for the client to remember it. Then the passphrase will stay in your local browser storage until you log out of the Nxt client.

The main chain / child chain architecture as such does not make Ardor more "centralized". The whole network is still maintained by pure Proof of Stake. There are people who sustain that PoS is a consensus method that leads to centralization, but I don't share this belief. What is partly centralized - and is a major point I criticise and I hope still [naively] it could change some day - is the development model of Nxt/Ardor. The developers work mostly "behind closed doors". They share the source code when they release new versions, but now the license is not FSF/OSI-compliant anymore, because they're too afraid of clones.

Ardor on my opinion will a frontrunner in decentralize application generation platform. It is just surprise me that the token for Ardor is way too low and cheap to buy. I am planning to scoop some 20k or more.

I thought that passphrase would be stored locally in an encrypted file, not the browser itself. I run NXT NRS through the software, not the browser. I'll check into it further. Anyways, thanks for the tip bro.

It depends. Do you consider the current mining landscape in Bitcoin "decentralized", with one pool/mining equipment manufacturer (Bitmain with Antpool, ViaBTC etc.) dominating about 50% of the hashrate? So centralization can happen in both algorithm types. What your probably mean is the "rich get richer" feature of PoS, because "the rich" can get minting income. However, in Nxt/Ardor this income is pretty small as there are no real block rewards, only transaction fees can be "forged". In Ardor this "rich get richer effect" will be probably a little bit stronger than in Nxt, because of the high transaction fees on the main chain and the fact that every child chain "bundler" must pay the fees to include child chain transactions in the main chain. But "leased forging" (=pooled forging) would also be available, so smaller accounts could also participate.

I am really anticipating the main net launch. This will make me analyze the extent of my holding in ARDR. If I find my forging yields minimum result, I would like to accumulate more to obtain desire amount of ARDR via forging.

Hello,
Will there be a specific wallet for ARDOR?
I am not a lover of the NXT wallet, which is not user friendly ...
Yes, but it will probably look and feel the same as the NXT one. However, they want to hire a GUI coder to improve the wallet but it may take a while. Ardor is NXT, IGNIS will be NXT, may be ADEL will be NXT. instead of developing NXT they create a new coin because they have sold all the oldest coin.

Solving the blockchain bloating problem required a new architecture with a new blockchain. Holders of NXT have gotten an equal amount of ARDR in the past and will receive 0.5 Ignis per NXT. Furthermore, NXT will continue to be developed. I guess all of these facts are wasted on a fudding newbie though.
