We have been approached by numerous exchanges to list PLU.

Many of these (often new) exchanges have also offered to list PLU for an extortionate listing fee. We believe that this practice is detrimental to cryptocurrencies as a whole.

But there is also some good news: Now that exchange listing has been confirmed by our legal counsel, we are more than happy to pay an administration fee associated with being listed on a reputable exchange. However, we will only do so if a benefit is provided to you, our community.

The question we ask ourselves is, how do YOU benefit from this?

The great news is that all major exchanges have started to list again, and we have entered negotiations with a select few already. Let’s get Pluton listed!

-We’ve been working on UX/UI improvements for the app, which will give new users a better view of our features.

-Our new card provider has given us the green light to get started! This week, we are building an architecture plan on how to best integrate cards into our existing infrastructure.

Plutus Bounty Hacker Update: New Version of App

At Plutus, we consider it of the upmost importance to provide privacy and security to our users. As a result, our development team have implemented numerous measures to prevent any malicious activity before it occurs.

Vulnerability Reward Programme

Plutus recognise the importance of security researchers who invest time and effort into helping us secure our platform. As a result, anyone who reports a vulnerability that could compromise the confidentiality or integrity of our users or service, will be directly rewarded.

Security is of paramount importance, which means we will investigate all reported bugs and potential breaches. If you believe you have discovered a bug or vulnerability in Plutus.it, or any of our applications; please contact us right away at security@plutus.it

Rewards

Rewards will only apply to vulnerabilities found on the latest version of our app, ‘Plutus Tap & Pay’, no longer will we be rewarding bugs found on old versions.
A reward of up to $500 (paid in PLU) may be provided for the disclosure of qualified bugs (Bypassing login processes, executing code, interfering with user interaction, accessing other sessions, etc.).

Smaller vulnerabilities that do not meet our severity criteria may still be provided with a minimum of $100 (PLU) if they lead to an improvement in overall security.

Participants have until 31st December to disclose any bugs discovered. In order to abide by our policy, vulnerabilities must be disclosed privately, and provide us reasonable time to respond.

Please note: We do not reward spam or socially engineered vulnerabilities, neither do we reward vulnerabilities that have been disclosed publicly. Third-party applications such as the ones we use to test our BETA applications are not incorporated into this bounty programme. This includes Crashlytics, Telegram, etc.

The Jackpot

Hackers will also be in with a chance of winning a $3000 (PLU) jackpot prize, one security researcher will be picked at random out of everyone that disclosed valid vulnerabilities to receive the jackpot.

Terms & Restrictions

-   The first person to report and disclose a bug will be rewarded.
-   Publicly disclosed bugs will not be rewarded.
-   The reward amounts may increase and decrease, this is at our discretion.
-   We may cancel the programme at any time.
-   Your testing must not violate any laws at any time.
-   Bugs discovered on old app versions will not be rewarded.
-   Bugs discovered after 31st December 2018 when the bounty hacker scheme finishes will not be rewarded.
-   Due to legal restrictions, we cannot and will not reward residents of countries under current U.S. sanctions (including North Korea, Libya, Cuba).

What makes Plutus unique?

Plutus has learned from the past mistakes of other cryptocurrency services, namely the mantra: “If you store your coins on an exchange, they aren’t YOUR coins.”

This is why Plutus is quite possibly the only crypto-fiat and fiat-crypto gateway where your cryptocurrency balance is NEVER stored on any exchange or centralised server.

Instead, all coins travel directly to the user’s cryptocurrency address (or your own address, depending on whether you are buying or selling cryptocurrencies).

At the same time, our handling of fiat deposits is managed by 3rd parties (and is directly tied to a blockchain-based verification mechanism).

This makes events like the “Mt.Gox Disaster” impossible by design, because there are no user cryptocurrency balances whatsoever.

Centralised vs. Peer-to-Peer

Are you still using a centralised exchange or service to store your coins?

We think that’s a bad idea. Services that rely on a central vault can go offline, get hacked, become insolvent, or shut down. Furthermore, you have to manually withdraw your coins, wait, and hope that the transfer clears.

What’s the alternative?

Start using a service that respects your cryptocurrencies as your own property, and does not store them on its server. (Because if you don’t hold your own coins, they don’t actually belong to you).

This is one of the main reasons we designed Plutus the way we did, as a peer-to-peer gateway for cryptocurrencies to pass through.

We’ve made a lot of progress, and are making Plutus ready for the mass-market (which includes introducing newbies to crypto). Stay tuned for the results in the next version!

Issue: Connections blocked by ISP, firewall or router.

A few users have reported that they have been unable to use some aspects of our platform. Upon further investigation, we have determined that this is due to Websockets being blocked either by their ISP (Internet Service Provider), or a firewall on their computer/router/network.

Unfortunately, this means that resolving this (relatively rare) bug is currently out of our control. However, we are already researching alternative protocols and solutions to resolve this issue ASAP.

-Redesigning user flow, as part of the UX session.
-Testing cards integration.
-Planning to add an alternative to Websockets.
