Hello David have you got news about announcements? When marketing, when launch?

Morning Doulon! Great to see you hear again  Cheesy

The bi-weekly update is coming this week, we'll be sharing it here in our thread so keep an eye out for that.

As for marketing and launch. The launch is right around the corner, think weeks rather than months. Some users already have Plutus Pilot Card in their hands and are about to move on to testing the next section of our functionality.

Full scale marketing will start around the time we launch. If we begin to aggressively market now then we will find that we will reap little benefit from it.

In the meantime though, the team are working on expanding our community, particularly our Discord channel. As well as getting the name of the Plutus brand out there in different ways.

David, 3 months ago you said launch would be a matter of weeks rather than months. Now we are 3 months later. Whats up? Are there delays? Provide us some real info instead of this ‘soon’ and ‘around the corner’.

Hey Doulon, you're totally right - we did say that as that was what we expected at the time. I'm sure you're aware of the volatile nature of the cryptocurrency industry and it's reputation as an unregulated 'wild west'. Well, because of this, we've had numerous delays caused by third parties.

We're happy to announce that the pilot scheme is almost coming to a close now, we've just got a small number of functionalities left for our members to test - including DEX functionality and withdrawals. There's an official audit upcoming which the team are all preparing for. Following the final parts of testing and the audit, we'll hopefully be able to slap a public roll out date on the Plutus project

We are hearing this soon for many years now

Let's not forget that Plutus had a full functioning range of services in the past, including a Plutus Debit Card. These were cancelled due to red tape out of our control. Now, however, the team are dedicated to forming the right partnerships and staying on the correct side of compliance 100% of the time.

We released a version of the Plutus application late last year (without debit card functionality) and have collated all the user feedback we received from users at the time. Now, we're creating Plutus 2.0 with the feedback we've received. It's the next step in financial applications - bringing crypto and fiat together in a smooth, instant, and efficient manner. We can't wait to share with you what we have produced!

When i read your posts i see you talking about the marketing that would speed up. We are several months later and still nothing. Wel, some Twitter posts but that is it.

The marketing plan is ready to go, and has been for some while. It's being timed tactically to coincide with the build up to the public roll out  Cheesy

Pilot Card Update

The Plutus Pilot Scheme is entering it's final phases very soon. We have almost completed internal testing of DEX functionality and hope to hand this functionality over to our testers by the beginning of next week.

Following our final phase of testing, and the completion of an internal audit, we'll be opening the Plutus gates for citizens of the UK and EEA  Cheesy

Plutus Bi-Monthly Report — DEX Version 2.0 (Aug 2/2)

Welcome back to our bi-monthly report, the team has made some monumental progress over the last few weeks and this will be one of the last reports we release before entering the go-live window.

Pinned Announcements

- Access to features is available to team accounts and members of our Pilot Programme.
- The aim of the Pilot is to gather feedback from our community in order to provide an improved platform for the wider audience.
- Our site and a new app will be available to the wider public once the pilot ends, unveiling our new live features.

Development Update

DEX Version 2.0
Over the last fortnight, the team has successfully deployed DEX Version 2.0 to production, tested it internally, and released it to our pilot programme users. We are currently taking live feedback from our dedicated test users to smoothen out any remaining minor bugs.

The update includes ETH and PLU trading pairs using MetaMask for an incredibly simple user experience. The tech team has also encompassed crypto transaction monitoring so users can track both their fiat and crypto transaction history on the web application.

Both Plutus web and mobile is almost ready for public rollout. Over the next few weeks, we will be going through our final compliance audits with our banking partner to assess if our product meets all the necessary compliance and feature requirements. Plutus is fully ready and the devs hard work is soon to be appreciated by the wider crypto community.

Mobile App
To help integrate the Plutus Debit Card into more users’ payment flows, we are pleased to let you know that our card will be available on two popular mobile payment platforms (i.e. Google Pay and Samsung Pay). This will empower users to unleash their cryptocurrencies true potential and make everyday purchases on watches, tablets, and more tech devices.

Marketing Update

Website Design
The design team has created the first drafts of two sub-pages for our corporate website. This includes an ‘About us’ page which summarises our services and values for new visitors, and a ‘Card’ page which goes into detail on what is unique about our debit cards.

Card Arrival
The first batch of slick Plutus Debit Cards arrived at the warehouse and the team got to see the physical cards in the flesh for the first time. This marks a monumental milestone in the development of Plutus; from concept, to design, to a fully functioning Plutus Debit Card tied to a seamless backend banking system.

Zage Blockchain Report
Plutus and our Head of Marketing, Peter Panayi, featured in Zage Blockchain Report last week, sharing his thoughts on Real World Applications of Blockchain Technology. You can read more on his educated insights here.

Fact: In 2017, ICO’s raised a little more than $10Bn. 2018 saw a slight increase totalling $11.4Bn. According to the website DeadCoins, more than 1735 coins have been reported as deceased, hacked, parodies, or scams.

Plutus remains one of the few startups who were funded via a token sale with a very conservative budget of circa. $1M. Unlike alternatives start-ups, Plutus strives for longevity by vigilantly monitoring burn rate and budget allocation.

Pilot Card Update

Our pilot testers now have their hands on our decentralised exchange, the PlutusDEX.

We've had some great feedback regarding the improved user experience over Plutus 1.0 which is thanks, in part, to our Metamask integration.

Over the coming weeks we're hoping to resolve a small number of bugs and complete some final tests internally  Cheesy

Plutus Monthly Report — Final Steps (September 2019)

Welcome back to our bi-monthly report, Plutus is on the edge of rolling out our new and improved products and services to the wider community and the team are incredibly excited to have achieved what they have. Over the last fortnight, we have been working on finalising the details of this landmark chapter.

PlutusDEX Feedback
Last week the team successfully released the new and improved PlutusDEX to the pilot programme users for further stress testing. The peer-to-peer trading platform works smoothly, and the team received little to no bug reports from our community members.
With both the PlutusDEX and mobile app working proficiently, we can open up the doors to more users after a final audit from our banking provider. The gold-foiled VISA debit cards are sitting in the warehouse awaiting personalisation with your name, expiry dates and a unique 16-digit card number.

Finer Details
The development team has made numerous small but necessary additions to the platform. This includes completing download functionality of our T&C’s, privacy and cookie policies; improvements to DEX admin search functionality; and analysis of a feedback survey from our test users.

Marketing Update

Website Design
The team has been progressively working through a number of sub-pages over the last few weeks and the design for our new ‘About’ page is complete, this will provide new users with information on our available custom-built features and corporate values.

Illustrated Video Script
The team are in motion to create a 1-minute illustrated video that will easily and professionally break down the Plutus features visually. We have prepared a first-draft script ready for production.

Announcements
The team is preparing a press release in conjunction with our award-winning banking partner to announce the landmark partnership. It will be coupled with other exciting news related to the product release.

Emails Design & Research
Although the platform is currently limited to community members only, we have a huge mailing list of people who signed up to join Plutus during the 2.0 release; we’ll be using a targeted email campaign to convert these into subscribers and accompanying this with a referral programme to help grow the Plutus ecosystem.
The team has also undergone a deep dive into the analytics provided by our highly reputable emailing platform so we can make more informed decisions based on the preferences of our audience.

General Update

Going Monthly
With our MVP nearly public, we will be transitioning from a bi-monthly report to a monthly report. Plutus is dedicated to delivering consistent and transparent reports and we will continue to do so in a more in-depth but less frequent manner; the next report will be available in October.

Contis Audit
We have received a final audit date from our banking provider in early September and we expect to see the results imminently after. From here we can kick-start Plutus’ journey as a life-changing finance app and ship out official Plutus Debit Cards to our cherished community. We thank everyone for their involvement in reaching this momentous milestone.

Fact: A private key is actually just a random number between 1 and 115792089237316195423570985008687907852837564279074904382605163141518161494337, but we usually see it in a hexadecimal format which includes both letters and numbers.

The sheer volume of possibilities makes a private key incredibly difficult to crack, however, stealing the private keys is a much easier task and centralised exchanges who store vast amounts of pooled assets are the prime targets.

Plutus has integrated a decentralised exchange (PlutusDEX) so that we never have to store our users’ cryptocurrencies, this removes the possibility of Plutus experiencing a cryptocurrency hack.

Good morning. Is it a cloen of something else you built it from scratch? WDYT?

Hey Reoix!

There are other cryptocurrency based payment cards available in the market, however none of them operate in the same decentralised fashion as Plutus.

Using our integrated decentralised exchange, the PlutusDEX, our users can buy and sell cryptocurrency in a decentralised manner which ensures the highest level of security for your funds.

Post Audit Update

As you may know, last Thursday Plutus underwent an internal audit undertaken by one of our partners.

The official results of the audit should arrive sometime soon. Following this, the team will be posting an announcement regarding the next steps we will be undertaking on the Plutus journey.

Everybody here is more than excited to be preparing to open the Plutus gates throughout the UK and EEA.

Plutus - Audit Update

We're overjoyed to announce that we've officially passed our internal audit  Cheesy

A huge thank you to every member of our community who has supported us throughout this process. The team exceeded the expectations of the auditor and really showed them what Plutus has to offer. Huge well done to everybody involved!

With the audit behind us it's time to turn to the next phase of our development - expanding our early bird user base.

Keep an eye on our social media channels, as well as this BitcoinTalk thread, as there are more details to follow in our monthly update this week!

Plutus Monthly Report — Audit Results (October 2019)

Welcome back to our monthly report, Plutus has received some exciting results and the team are looking forward to releasing our high-quality finance app better than a challenger bank.

Implementing Small Details
The team has implemented a number of small changes including download functionality of our T&C and Privacy Policies in PDF form as required by law; we have also changed our email workflow so users can update their email addresses and subsequently authenticate it with minimal effort. The team has polished up a number of small detailed tasks that needed to be resolved before public release.

Back Office
The team has upgraded user management features so our back-office can allow the Compliance team to monitor and suspend users when they are suspected of foul play or suspicious activity. As a highly compliance-oriented company, we are ensuring the team say vigilant about any potential malicious activity.
The developers have also strengthened our back-office dashboard which will greatly empower us to manage and monitor the business’s overall health and security.

Marketing Update

Notification Emails
The team has created an informative design for our automated emails to reduce any potential pain points for the end-user; this includes all system notifications, product notifications, and KYC related emails. The development team is currently implementing these to our back-end systems.

Website Design
We have developed new sub-pages with an interactive design for our corporate website; this includes the About, Accounts, Card and PlutusDEX pages. These will be implemented this month so newcomers can rapidly educate themselves on our product offerings and fees.

Video Progress
We are creating how-to videos and developed several informative videos to guide you through the user journey. These will become available periodically alongside the upcoming expansion of our Early-Bird user group.

General Update

Audit
The most important event of the month has been the final audit with our banking provider to take an in-depth analysis of our systems and processes; this ranged from the services we deliver to our customer support approach, and most importantly the vigorous testing of our platform's security.

We have now successfully reached a historic milestone for the company which marks the beginning of our journey. Plutus can now release our web and mobile platforms to the public and issue slick Plutus Debit Cards.

Clarifying Fees & Limits
We have ensured our costs are more competitive than alternative crypto finance apps on the market in order to increase our appeal to the wider community.

The team will be offering two different account types:

1) A basic version for less committed customers — this comes with tighter limits and a very modest exchange fee.
2) A premium version for higher usage customers — for a small subscription fee, users can gain access to unlimited and fee-less conversions whilst experiencing a wealth of other ‘members’ benefits.

Plan of Action
Rather than open the floodgates all at once, we have implemented hard limits on the number of users who can use our app which will increase incrementally. This is to help manage demand, guarantee our servers can handle the load, and help learn from our Early-Bird users the next courses of action.

Anyone who downloads the app after we have reached our temporary user-threshold will be placed in a queuing system and receive full access very shortly after. Keep an eye on our social channels to secure your place.

Fact: The world’s fastest supercomputer, Summit, costs $200M, and the high-tech machine is capable of making 200 million billion calculations every second. Despite this, media reports have shown Bitcoin to be more powerful than the top 500 supercomputers combined.

Although the Bitcoin network is incredibly secure, many cryptocurrency companies aren’t, and this results in countless thefts and attacks. We have designed our systems to be as decentralised as possible so users can enjoy the wealth of benefits cryptocurrencies offer without the associated security concerns.
