Seems he buy ETH with fiat or btc which means if the price of ETH down he buy more to take a bet on vdice, but if ETH price up he need to spend extra cost to take a bet on vdice CMIIW.

If you are positive enough that you can win, I guess that would give you a good chance to double your profit. While the price is increasing, you can grow your volume of ETH while gambling, that if you are willing to take that bigger risk or just be contented with the guaranteed profit now.

True,if you are hesitating to use ETH because you do believe on its potential increase on future then better not to play at all but i would like to say playing on either ETH or BTC is just the same because their prices do really move up.Yes, real gambler dont really mind at all on what coins should he use as long he would able to play gambling.

Good old marketing that always works: nothing is better than creating a lot of interests before the time. But then, when the time comes, you will have to deliver dear vDice but I think you will

I'm not sure that will be good move in the future, since vDice use ETH infrastructure, I think it should only focus in one thing.
