I bet all you sig campaign people who advertised this for a few monhs feel pretty stupid.

And and and, once again you all gave money for a platform that doesnt work, and has never worked. And according to charles hoskinson needed shitloads of testing before it ever could be close to even production ready.

Oh, and they straight up lied at the beggining about kushti being involved.

so, russians are all scammers, waves has "no marketing or major developments" after 48 hours of life, what's the next bullshit i can read in this thread?
No but I wouldn't put my trust in an altcoin fro such a ravaged, fallen country.  Just isn't smart.  Then again I'm in the US and we have a bit of a history with Russia.

wtf people, i would think the same about USA if i was from Afghanistan!
and following this logic every muslim is a terrorists, every white person is racist etc

and then, to be honest, crypto are global networks and talking about nationalities doesn't make sense anymore,
i'm from norway, my mining server is in singapore and my investors pool is from china: if i fuck up then means all people from sweden are scammers? FFS

You morons gave 30,000 free BTC to a bunch of Russian IPO scammers.  No wonder BTC is down.  You probably all own more BTC than altcoins and just devalued the fuck out of your investment by letting these scammers crash the market in a rush to buy Lamborghinis for themselves.

That's probably what we were looking at on BTCE today.  The price was over $600, yet you have people trying to unload BTC $50 under market value for absolutely no reason on BTCE.  You got these Waves Russians, Vitalik Russian, and Come from Beyond Russian IPO scammers tripping over themselves desperate to cash out their scams as fast as possible on BTCE:

https://i.imgur.com/3GQeqN6.png

And what do all these scammers have in common? They all attack legit projects like Monero, really makes you think.

Monero is dedicated to the scam. So dedicated, in fact, that they built the best working cryptographic privacy coin on the market, along with writing multiple whitepapers with clear mathematical proofs of efficacy, just to sucker people in. Looks like you fell for it, what a shame.

40% of Waves ICO BTC Withdrawn! For What?

I didn't read the thread. I am just responding to the Subject title quoted above in bold text. I am NOT accusing anyone of anything. I am speaking hypothetically below.

The problem with ICOs is the developers can take out a loan, buy the ICO from themselves, thus creating the illusion that they raised more money than they did. But of course they need to pay the loan back. So tracking the BTC raised from an ICO is apparently a necessary condition for ICOs, but it still doesn't resolve the issues below.

Buying the ICO from themselves allows manipulation:

1. They own a large % of the supply which they can withhold from the float to drive the price up. They use this as margin so they can take out options contracts to apply highly leveraged price manipulation.

2. If this buying is visible during the ICO process, this can drive up demand for the ICO.

3. Use this control over the float to buy from themselves, jacking up the exchange price.

Good luck ever getting a complete answer from the Waves DEV team on what they are doing with the withdrawn BTC. When I brought it up in the Waves ANN thread, I was basically told by the signature campaign coordinator to STFU, and he'll buy my tokens at ICO price. I've dumped these tokens as soon as I could on Trex, and I have now liberated myself from the last of these ICO scam tokens. I certainly hope that I do not slip in my resolve to never purchase a single one of these ICO ever again. I hope all of you Wave bagholders and traders have fun with my dumped tokens. You do all realize that since the code for the nodes is closed sourced, and the terms of the escrow has been met, the dev team can take the money and run, and leave you all in the lurch? Hope these strangers have some scruples for all of your sake. Roll Eyes

You have a serious problem with Russians. You should try to see a psychologist. That probably come from beyond a problem that you had during childhood.

If you need help the whole Bitcoin community will be there for you, and i'm sure the russian part of it will help you even more.

i sold 15000 waves, 75% of my holdings on day 1 at about 0.00041 because waves didn't receive much of any mainstream media press - thus sellers outnumbered buyers by a wiiiiide margin. that was obvious to me and should have been to everyone else

kept 25% for a reason though

sasha coded coinomat and waves might rival motherfucking coinbase one day

it would be speculative and idiotic of them NOT to turn the ICO BTC into fiat. that would be counterproductive and bad for the business of waves. waves is a business

was it a scam? maybe, but probably not. i think sasha is a pretty leet dude with good knowledge of crypto and credit/debit payment gateways, and now he has serious capital to play with to put his brain to good use

all of you people talking shout about eastern europeans in blanket statements is fucking ridiculous. how about we all calm down and wait a few months for developments? let them work

you invested in an ico, you aren't grinding away at any new platforms - you're panicking and most of you probably put less than $500 into waves

$7M is garbage compared to what the waves team can turn this project into. they could be generating that every week a year from now. straight up cashing out and going into hiding when you can become a boss in the crypto world is fucking stupid and sasha isn't stupid. i think this is peanuts compared to what he wants to accomplish

The waves ICO had no rules for the organizers apart from the network had to be successfully launched before the funds could be be released. There was nothing stopping them dumping the ICO funds and those funds make the devs multi-millionaires. It's a wonder it took them this long to start dumping them.

Escrow services for WAVES ICO are provided by:
Alexander Kuzmin, mycelium.com founder.
Paul Klanschek, coinimal.com founder.

2 out of 3 multisignature  service from Coinbase.com is used.
The funds will be released upon successful launch of WAVES network and after the balances at the ICO site can be withdrawn to WAVES wallets addresses.

According to escrow agreement the funds have to be transferred from the escrow address.
https://blockchain.info/address/35fe2CM2zbMeSfhRjpjW8ikTJcZj8NooFD official Waves cold wallet
5 k is withdrawn for current and upcoming development and marketing costs, good moment to sell BTC. 1 k out of it is spent on WAVES buy-back.
