Segwit or segregated witness is a restructuring of bitcoin transactions.  Transactions consist of two parts: the actual transaction (inputs and outputs) and the witness (signatures for each input).  Segregated witness separates out the signature portion to make that part easier to discard after it is verified.

In the long run, yes.  It does decrease long term storage costs.  It does nothing to increase transaction throughput and has been a giant distraction from real scaling efforts in that area.

Halving can't be priced in yet.  Supply issuance is still the same amount lol.  That's like saying that the 4+ Million coins that have yet to be mined have already been priced in simply because the market already has foreknowledge about it. No, this kind of thing doesn't get priced in like that. It gets priced as these new Bitcoins actually start geting issued into the market. It might not explode right away or anything.  It could take several months for the market to really start to realize that there's that much less to go around.  But the price action we have seen thus far is nothing yet.  Not even close

we have some exciting months ahead of us for sure. but the thing is that people tend to get over excited very easily. they lose the reality out of sight and come up with predictions of $2000-$3000 and so on. $1000 on the other hand is quite a possible target for this year. but then again, reaching the $1000 price level is one thing, keeping the price there is a completely other level of difficulty.

thats nonsense in my opinion, i think the price should surely grow even more as more people will start buying their bitcoins in order to make profit out of the halving event

If you look at chart after every bull & bear trap, price stopped at around 610€. Also price already got adjusted for halvening, if you look back it was always 300€-ish. Halvening - half, which means each coin is worth twice.. do the simple math = 300*2 = 600.

But as for halvening, it might rise quite high - but don't be greedy too much, someone will sell it all and trigger panic selling - set your prices in right now, if you want to make 'some' profit. Better than none.
