With the TechCrunch Disrupt Berlin conference kicking off this Monday and gathering entrepreneurs, investors, and tech enthusiasts with an increasing interest in the crypto space, it has been an eventful week for the blockchain community here in Berlin. Here’s a brief recap of what we’ve been up to these days.

Gnosis Community Call #2

During our second Community Call on November 29th, we gave an update on Gnosis Olympia, our first prediction market application which will run on the Rinkeby test network. Due to compatibility issues with uPort as well as issues encountered with blockchain reorganization and GnosisDB, the layer on top of our smart contracts allowing us to query contract states, we’ve had to postpone the launch date announcement. While we’re still in the process of running through internal tests, we hope to announce news on the Olympia launch before Christmas

Somebody follows closely behind the project, whether there will be any progress towards improving the product. The price has fallen very much, I look at the chart for half a year, and I want to buy. But the silence from the developers for some reason repels, and the branch is not so active. What is connected with?

Close to augur, but not better when compared to them.I wouldn't invest in a project which controls 95% of the tokens and only 5% are with investors.

Actually, this is not really so, they do have AMA and publish announcements in official slack, and they publish news in the blog, what is true they are not active on this forum, but this was from the start they didn't pay much attention to this forum.

What are you talking about? The USD price more than doubled since December 10 and 62% more in BTC price. And more importantly, it's coming from the bottom. Maybe it's because of their Dec 8 blog, "While we’re still in the process of running through internal tests, we hope to announce news on the Olympia launch before Christmas."

We have a bunch of projects in the pipeline. Beside the core prediction market platform and applications on top, a decentralized auction based exchange (that will later also be used by prediction markets) and a consumer friendly multisig wallet.

Our team has grown to over 30 now.

Currently most important: we released the first application on Gnosis: "Olympia". To give everyone a chance to try it for free and get familiar with the concept we have first deployed it on Rinkeby (a testnet) and started a tournament.

 2. You will get 200 OLY tokens every other day
 3. Use those tokens to make predictions
 4. If on Jan 5th you are among the top 100 users you win GNO)

2017 has been a huge year for Gnosis. Since our token sale last April, Gnosis has grown in so many ways. While our team size expanded from 7 to 35 employees in the last year, we’ve developed many exciting products (Gnosis Olympia, the Dutch Exchange) which also led us to redefine our mission and brand statement. We have a long road in front of us, and are moving forward with increasing momentum.

Both our website and white paper haven’t seen an update since our token sale, and certainly didn’t reflect all the things we’re currently working on, or convey the mission that drives us every day. That’s why many of us have bundled their last energy of 2017 working on a website and white paper overhaul that was long overdue.

We’re glad to welcome 2018 with a new website. New year, new me!
