https://www.coinexchange.io/market/AU/BTC

Status: INACTIVE for 1 month,

No official respond from CE.

This is same as www.cryptopia.co.nz started.

This is not official Coinexchange ANN thread. do not expect direct assistance here.
I think you need to contact them on his support page

I find the message "This currency is currently in maintenance mode." So, probably they need to update wallet on his side.

Or CoinExchange is going bankrupt, this is also an option.
Why list every week a new coin and not explain why other coins are on "maintenance"? Wallet is working fine see the explorer. I thing they had breach.
They admit they suffered 51% attack, CE is going bankrupt

You will see I think CE was hacked long time ago, adding every day a shitcoin. last days of pompeii.

I withdrew my coins with ease.
Now we wait and see if everyone gets their coins.

It's a shame , I liked Coinexchange.

Why did coinexchange close down though? They never had any good trading volume for most coins but still managed to function since 3 years and now this sudden closure is shocking. With novaexchange also closing down, looks like the downfall of exchanges coming this year due to bad market conditions. No hack is confirmed as people are able to withdraw their coins. Glad they did not ask for KYC unlike cryptopia and nova.

Saw some fake orders of CRPT on coinexchange. Manipulation is still ON.

I am also really shocked by this decision but they post they are in loses so just because of this now time for closing this right now markets are going badly so many exchanges are facing some bad time and few like coin cannot survive so they are closing business and going out good thing all withdrawals working ok.

I never had any problems with them. Deposit & withdraw system works fine. Support is a little bit slow. I think the lack of the employees causes the site support replying slow. Even they’re late when people inquire for listing process. Competition between exchanges currently getting so tough and without any marketing, you can’t attract people on your exchange. The last few month's volumes on coin exchange went down a lot so obviously they’re not making money from trading fees as result they decided to shut down the exchange and move on to the new project. This is actually good for the blockchain & crypto. If you’re not serious and your actions are not professional your business will see no success anymore because there is decent competition in the market right now.

This is purely a business decision and there has not been a security breach or any other type of incident. Unfortunately it is no longer economically viable for us to continue offering market services. The costs of providing the required level of security and support now outweigh our earnings.

It is bad news, I like to use this exchange and I never had any trouble with them.

i think the same, i see the stat of coinexchange today and the total volume of all coin are less of 100 bitcoin, when can earn with the fee? 0.15 bitcoin for day? is impossible (and is very less because the 50% of volume today are for CRPT)
i think if more little exchange close, more little altcoin death

I got this notification thrice as I had changed the secret code and had 2 codes of coinexchange stored on the same device. But when I used the new code, it worked and got me logged in.

They are really manipulating CRPT token value as I can see 1-1 token getting sold for 0.001+ when the real price is 0.0005 in the buy orders. On coinmarket also the value of CRPT is highest on coinexchange only.

And that's good. Like it or not, small to medium exchange like this is the reason why shitcoin lives while they should be delisted from all market. That being said, new projects will face fiercer competition as top exchanges won't list them as easy as small-mid exchange. Good for the market, but for developers.

Not the worst manipulation you will see but certainly a red flags.

Authentication code is not valid - make sure your device time is set correctly.

It is a problem with your device clock settings. Here is what GA says how to solve:
"Google Authenticator: Invalid tokens are caused by incorrect device clock settings. Your clock must show correct local time, date and time zone to work properly. Android and Windows phones have an option to correct for time errors inside the Authenticator app properties, if you do not wish to sync your clock. IPhones must be set to use internet time to make sure the clock is synced properly."

Why did coinexchange close down though?

They just say it's their business decision. So the main reason is not clear yet. But It is clear that the exchange was not hacked as the users could withdraw their own money. If the exchange was hacked, they would have shut down the exchange without any notice or at any other excuse. Maybe their business partners have an internal problem I think.

It's funny, the way of life in business in most countries perhaps on Earth is to not ask their customers for support.  They could have said, "Hey, if you like us, you should know we are not earning enough commissions on trades and will have to close down in three months if you people don't do more trading and bring more people to crypto."  The largest movie/dvd/video store I believe in the world, Scarecrow Video in Seattle, did that about five times over the last ten years and now they are full operating fine as a non-profit, same place and amount of staff as before.

But it's a total different business model, I guess they can't really keep up with the competition, that's why I just many times before, crypto exchange are a niche market, it's a tough business and I'm thinking that the average lifespan could be around 3-5 years. If during that time you are not making money, there is a big chance that you need to shutdown your business or you need to evolved to cater new consumers. But since the bearish market, they get themselves in position wherein it becomes a burden just to maintain their business. So they don't have choice but to close it down gracefully.

At least they are kind ,un like other exchange that given fake news of hacking just to have money of users . they will announce they are bankrupt becuase of that hacking incident then decided to close that exchange.
Coinexchange are not doing this so there still possiblity that coinexchange will be back again.

I somewhat agree with you. I also think the US is putting a lot of pressure on these exchanges to comply with KYC and pay taxes. The crypto world is ever-changing and the smaller exchanges are feeling the pressure. But I'm sure coinexchange made pretty good profits when BTC went to $20,000 and they started charging 1 BTC to list on their exchange. I'm really going to miss coinexchange, I was one of the first people to deposit and trade with them. They have my trust 100%
