Thanks for everybody who helped me with my OSX wallet.

It took me a long time to find what was the issue. if anybody is in the same situation, here is what i did:

You have to create a 808.conf file and put it in a hidden folder under user/(yourname)/library(hidden)/application support/808

---------------
show all files
https://ianlunn.co.uk/articles/quickly-showhide-hidden-files-mac-os-x-mavericks/
---------------

Now the important part, text edit doesn't let you create a .conf directly.

Go to preferences:

under format: check plain text
under open and save: uncheck add .txt extension for plain text files
then RESTART the application

Open textedit and copy the nodes from this link: https://novaexchange.com/addnodes/808/
and save it as 808.conf in the right location.
The wallet should then synchronise (it took me a long day to synchronise the first time - you should see a progress bar if it does)

Hope it will help other mac users Smiley

I've tried sending some test coins to the windows wallet and nothing seems to be appearing. I've checked the explorer and everything has went as planned and shows the coins at the new address. The wallet just doesn't seem to be showing any of the transactions. It currently has 8 active connections to the network. Is there a step i'm missing somewhere to get the wallet working properly?

Nothing to worry.
It will get there in no time if your wallet is fully sync'ed.

Thanks, yeah I think my wallet hadn't fully sync'ed yet. Just being impatient! All sorted now and got my whole stack of coins sent over.

I now have my 808 coin giveaway up and running on Twitter and so far the response has been great. My plan is when I stake in around 5 to 7 days from now to share 50% or 100k to people who have followed the rules. I am giving away 3 prizes 1st 50k 2nd 30k and 3rd 20k. Since I started this giveaway I have had a lot of messages on Twitter about 808 coin and the good thing is that most of them have decided to get into 808 coin. We just need to keep sharing this coin with as many people as we can and show them the rewards we earn when we stake. I'll be running more giveaways in the future as this has so far been a success for me and the coin. I'm actually thinking about running one every month but I'll see how I go as I do want to also reach my target of 5 million 808 coins.

Great Vella, that means supporting a coin!

Thank you! Yes I sure am supporting this coin as I have since I first got into it many months ago now. I always try my best to help the coin where I can and as I have a decent amount of followers on Twitter I thought that is my way of spreading the word about this awesome coin. Like I said I get messages everyday about 808 coin now and most times then not the people who message me join and buy some 808 coins as they can see the power of staking 808 coin. We have a lot of people helping out with the coin so I think as a team we have achieved something very special with 808 coin and it's not going to stop just yet. I think we would all love to see this coin at 100 sats in the near future.

I can promote your project on X to my 100k+ followers for a reasonable price. Just DM me for prices.

I have a question.  Say you 8 blocks and four are showing ready to produce and the other ones are blue.  And you want to send some coins to the exchange because the price is high.  Will the coins come out of the young blocks or the most mature ones?

Use advanced coin control to manage your blocks.

Hi, thanks.  It's too hard to dig this out.  A lot of us are busy, have several wallets, have our own cryptocurrency we are launching, but still love 808.  This information is not on the website, and I'm pretty sure it's not in the OP.  Can you put a link to a major help file because this is a pretty obscure feat and the wallet interface is not intuitive for it.  It's also a  important feature.

This is standard coin control used in many coins. From the op.

Friends, explain, please the beginner - how to combine coins into 1 block?
Thank you very much in advance Smiley

Its easy and I'll explain it here for you.

Click on the settings tab in your wallet and then options, a box will pop up with some options now click on Display. You will see 2 options and the box you want to check is "Display coin control features (experts only)" once done click apply then okay. Now once you have done that and closed the pop up window click on "Send coins" tab in your wallet and you should see the Coin control features Click the "Inputs" tab and a window will pop up then you will see Tree mode and List mode. Select list mode and there you will have all your coins and now if you want to combine them all into 1 block you just check all the boxes and then click ok. Once done you'll see Amount fee etc... copy the amount and paste it into the amount box under Label then put in your 808 coin address and click send don't forget about the fee though and you should then have all your coins combined in 1 block."

perhaps somebody that has some video production skills could make 808 demonstration video video.

Thanks!   I guess it's obvious once using it that you can control just a portion to send to an exchange and that these can come out of coins/blocks that aren't near maturity.

The explanation you have is very good and easy to understand I have done what you said and I am staking everything in one block. This is a nice currency. Good profits for patient people. Tha k you for the nice coin.

I mimust buy some more. If I do the one block thing does the stake reset ? Seems to for me so I mist keep the new ones I bought separate.

I believe it will reset if you combine the coins you just bought into the large block of coins you created. Depending on how many days ago you made that large block then you could combine them if it was only a day or two ago but if it was longer I would leave that block mint and then you could combine them all into one block.

Great to see the price holding steady at around 50 sats, it's only a matter of time before we see 100 sats for this coin and what an achievement that would be! Keep up the good work everyone!

I can promote your project on X to my 100k+ followers for a reasonable price. Just DM me for prices.

It's a very good condition and has done so well. It makes me laugh to know a few weeks ago people were saying it's crap. Yes making good profits is very crap. ^^  Thank you 808 coin !!

I hope it hits over 100sat very profitable. Buy more and stake.
