Maybe it is counted as an illegal currency because it is not possible to tax all of it. As they are millions of transactions everyday not counting all the different wallet providers. It is unfair for your government as people would likely use btc to not be tax.

I think bitcoin can not be given any tax because bitcoin is anonymous so tertenti transactions of any person can not be seen or in track. so I think if bitcoin illegal because no taxes. then whenever bitcoin will become illegal? I think illegal is the word of the government. they could not do any restrictions on the use of bitcoin

in Italy it's legal, but like every country (i think) if you sell it for € you will need to declare it
Yup. It depends in your country, (or in america, state).
Most of the countries have don't consider bitcoins as something illegal but there are some that has banned bitcoins.

what just not taxes and they can justify bitcoin into illegal activities, it's rational, in my opinions, the government is doubt about bitcoin because they know about the bitcoin system, and very difficult to control it. a various crime in there can make the government to think again about bitcoin.

Earn, hold and exchange the BTC to your currency and send that to your bank account you have in your country. A lot can be done. Exchange the BTC to your currency and use them.

Exchange the BTC to your currency and use them.

For example in Russian Federation this operation might be a cause of penal persecution.

As i am from country where bitcoin is stated to be a illegal currency so, its ok to earn form small services and signature campaign here and hold my bitcoins ?
I need some suggestions ?
I love bitcoin and i can't leave it !
You can hold it on some reliable online wallet but you may face legal problem if you try to cash them into fiat or buy some physical good online.
The best option for you would be hold it online and wait until things change in your country

There is no way something be ilegal and possession of any portion of those be legal, the thing is even when bitcoin remains hidden or ilegal you cant expose your coins, you must or spend them or save them till the day bitcoin will be accepted at your country.

The best way in my minds using a coin base service and change your BTC into PayPal balance or trying buying PayPal balance with some people in the foreign. you will don't getting a legal problem for doing this way.

it is so much better to either use an exchange and receive it in your bank or if you want the anonymity in this case you should do the trade face to face by receiving cash because paypal is not so different from banks and will record your transactions and also the buyer can charge back and you lose a lot of money.

Are there laws that says bitcoins are illegal? How can the make it illegal to use it a piece of software? It's just a bunch of inputs and outputs in a ledger and it's not really a "currency". The closest to bitcoin being a currency is the name because it has the word "coin" in it. There will be legal loop holes in legal cases involving bitcoins for everyday use. No law or case will act as precedent giving the governments around the world one big headache.

Illegal is different from ban. I think using such currency is illegal and that does not mean it’s earned or spent against laws of that country but it’s not recognized by the laws of that country. I would suggest you to reconfirm that using bitcoins is illegal or banned in your country. I think few governments will either create obstacles or ban completely the usage of bitcoins in future but still bitcoin will have prominent role in global trade. Right now if you want to be in safe position then don’t spend coins (but still you can earn and hold it in your wallet).

Even if it's illegal you don't have to be afraid of anything for the simple reason that no one knows that you hold and using bitcoins, unless you reveal it of course but this is never going to happen.

Yeah they don't know that your holding bitcoin so why need to be afraid? And I think for the future it will accept it in your country as   a legal currency .much better to start to save now so if the times come that your country legalized bitcoin you had available and I think when it is happen the price of bitcoin is much expensive than the price now.

What country is this? Russia? Anyway, I believe that you just contradicted yourself. Doing something illegal is not going to make it legal or vice versa. I am a little confused  Huh.

If my understanding of your question is correct then you might be able to get someone outside your country to manage your bitcoins. It's only a suggestion.  Smiley

I heard something about it, I don't know why Nepal decided to make bitcoins illegal. I would hold and use bitcoins in any case, just be careful with whom you talking about and try to protect yourself on several ways.
Delete you browsing history regularly, use incognito tab, if you can use VPN, and once again don't tell to anyone around what are you doing. They can't catch you if you are quiet about it.
I think if you just hold it on one place they will never know that you have any coins, just earn them and keep them. Good luck man!

the trouble happens when you try to exchange bitcoin to fiat or vice versa. because there will be a bank in this process involved and they would want to know where the money came from and if it came from a bitcoin exchange service or anything related to that they will flag you if it is illegal in your country.

Weak hands have been complaining about missing out ever since bitcoin was $1 and never buy the dip.
Whales are those who keep buying the dip.

in Italy it's legal, but like every country (i think) if you sell it for € you will need to declare it
Yup. It depends in your country, (or in america, state).
Most of the countries have don't consider bitcoins as something illegal but there are some that has banned bitcoins.

You got a point there. Bitcoin maybe both illegal and legal. In some countries where it is accepted it may not be considered as legal like China wherein their state has declared that ownership of bitcoins is considered a civil rights.. But there are countries which forbid ownership of bitcoins and users have problem how to convert them to cash.
