Sad to see things that aren't going our way. Even how much we say it's legal, if your country had already declared that it is illegal it is illegal. And if you won't mind getting questioned by the authorities, you can continue to love bitcoin and keep it. Just make sure they won't catch you. In my side of the world it is legal here so i have the luxury of earning and holding BTC.

if your country just already state that bitcoin is illegal then it's illegal no matter how you use it and how you earn it,they'll don't care because it's already regulated unless you just go outside of your country or region which strict bitcoin to make a transaction, even you can hide while using bitcoin with just some trick ,but really don't reccommend it as it illegal and would give you risk if you care with the rules then stop if you don't really care then keep it up

Bitcoin isn't illegal but only banned in several countries. I guess as long as there are still places in the exchange of your country so you can still do all of that and I am pretty sure there will not be categorized into illegal action.

OP just stating bitcoin is illegal in his country and he know exactly what the meaning of word "illegal" is as banned close to illegal there's no such important difference which should be mentioned, and I think if bitcoin illegal there,no one will make an exchanger because they'll possibly being prisoned

Well in my opinions if the bitcoin is stated to be an illegal currency all of your activities having a relationships with bitcoin it's can be included in illegal activities too, maybe you can still use bitcoin but it's will have a riskier. it's too difficult to avoid the bitcoin because you very loved with bitcoin.

Well, if your country stated bitcoin is illegal, you still can earn it on online. They will not know and yes you can earn and hold your bitcoins. well sometimes country governments check people browsing history as far as i know so i doubt it would be a problem for them to find out that you are earning bitcoins online i think it is usually legal to earn and hold your bitcoins, in my opinion it is illegal only if your country has some laws released on it that prohibits the use of bitcoin, there are some countries

Yes, you can earn bitcoin and hold them , there are a lot of wallets so you can join one of them which is not banned in your country and then use an exchange to convert your bitcoins to fiat and then with a payment processor you can withdraw your money and can use for your needs.

The governments are unable to find that which person is using bitcoin and which person is holding bitcoin, unless you connect your bitcoin wallet/exchange with your bank account etc, so you are free to earn bitcoin in your country.

Even though it's illegal, how would they know? No one can know who owns which wallet. You're safe.
Unless they go into everyone's house, search for every computer, or search for every accounts in the internet within their vicinity. This is unlikely to happen.

Well, you are unlucky that Bitcoin is illegal in your country. I would personally use them if I was in a coutry where Bitcoin is illegal. And the goverment can not really see who is using a Bitcoin wallet, so your safe. They can only check if they go house to house and check if you have a Bitcoin wallet. But that isn't going to happen so you are safe.

are you absolutely positive it's illegal in your country? they might discourage banks getting involved. i can see there's plenty of action on localbitcoins in nepal.
there's a difference between calling something illegal and making it illegal and i'll bet it hasn't been tested in a court. i see that the nepalese central bank said that. the central bank does not pass laws.
people here love to take one comment and run with it. a bunch of posters on here told us it was illegal in taiwan because one guy vaguely related to the government thought it might be a cool idea yet if i have a look they have exchanges and it's all over localbitcoins. you need acts of parliament and stuff.

You can do everything you want. Governments can't hold bitcoin and its system.. bitcoin is completely anonymous and no one can trace you. so in short words yes you can earn and you can hold your bitcoin for long time . and your bitcoins will be safe until you protect the private keys. and don't leak them. Even I am sure that You can't only hold bitcoin and store bitcoin. but you can easily exchange it and convert it to fiat and use it to buy everything you want. just create a paypal or Perfectmoney and contact a trader who can buy your bitcoin. but stay anonymous for be safe.

Everything cant be legal. Countries will not want that you will earn money for free. Some governments are hyper active and some are simply not bothered about. That god my country is not bothered about bitcoin. If it is an illegal currency in your country, how can holding will be legal??it's illegal too. Use vpn service before you access bitcoin wallet. Try multicity vpn to be more secure.

It's illegal. so, lets say if they can trace a BTC account to you it would be problematic. but the only way to do that is if you have transactions sent from an exchange or another service in your name. so if you just have a normal BTC wallet on your PC there's no way they will know...maybe through the IP, but keeping track of that would make them crazy.

here in my country(brazil) it's ok to have bitcoin but they will eat all of them with taxes... so, i'll never put them on my income tax. it's a personal decision and i dont encourage others to do the same, i just dont agree with my country's taxes.
So, if here were illegal, i would still have my bitcoins... they can't find my bitcoins.

Yeah i am from Nepal and the central authority of our country has stated any trade works or any businesses held using bitcoin will be strictly punished so i am little afraid of holding my coins too ! that's all.. As far as I understand you can use Bitcoin in Nepal, as long as it's not for payments within businesses in Nepal. But there aren't good sources on this matter. Someone here claims it is illegal, but provides no source. So, if here were illegal, i would still have my bitcoins... they can't find my bitcoins.
Don't be so sure of that.

Yeah i am from Nepal and the central authority of our country has stated any trade works or any businesses held using bitcoin will be strictly punished so i am little afraid of holding my coins too ! that's all.. wow i didn't know bitcoin was announced illegal in your place, sorry to here that it really sucks. and to answer your question, earning bitcoin through jobs (even small jobs like signature campaigns) may be categorized under a business conducted with bitcoin and fall under the same rules so you have to be careful and do it as anonymously as you can.

I do not understand. basically holding bitcoin is a natural thing, and mean holding bitcoin is legal. there is no rule to say do the holding is illegal. well of course it is a natural thing, it is not illegal to hold your bitcoins because i think a lot of people are doing it and they dont face any trouble because of that i think it is illegal in only a few countries that are actually banning the bitcoins in order to avoid people using it because as people use bitcoins less fees are taken and so on

There's no rule neither legal nor illegal of holding of bitcoin. I think bitcoin doesn't care wether you hold your coins or not, it is your own decision anyway.

I think it will be legalized as long as you do not use them for illicit trafficking or making illegal transactions. if in your country there are no regulations that make bitcoin become illegal, then it is perfectly legal

Government in my country has no rules for regulating bitcoins yet. Until and unless you convert bitcoins into fiat, nobody cares what you are doing with them. Though use of bitcoin is criticized by it.
the same for me, i dont worry too much about bitcoins in my country because i know that i will not have any trouble with laws, thats really great as there are no risks at all it is legal to earn and then hold your bitcoins in nearly every country, if country doesnt have any laws on bitcoin then i would definitely not worry about it in my opinion as everything is going to be fine

Its wizard bitcoin being something illegal with soo many projects supporting it as casinos, porn websites, faucets, exchange, hosting providers. I believe bitcoin has presence at almost all kind of online market. If it weren't allowed those projects wouldnt be running, the countries may not have a position around bitcoin. Before bitcoin there are several projects that are illegal, hyip and others Ponzi ways but they keep running and some of them using bitcoin now.

Very interesting question. In my country, Croatia, I asked it several people and researched on many different places. Final answer is: yes. Basically, Bitcoin is not recognized as legal currency or financial asset in my country. It's only when I decide to exchange Bitcoin to ''hard'' money as USD and withdraw to my bank account that I have to report it to my tax office as ''second income'' from abroad (and pay tax on this income, of course).

if you want to use bitcoin for something illegal then it doesn't matter what laws say about bitcoin itself because even if using bitcoin is legal, you are doing something illegal becaus the act is so.

What country is that? For me. My suggestion you don't need to surrender your bitcoin. Because you can get and earn with bitcoin so.? That is very hard for me to surrender my bitcoin if that is my situation. Don't leave that bitcoin. Because no one knows that you used a bitcoin. Do not say anything that you used a Bitcoin their country. Keep secret what you are. Be anonymous. 😉 Because Bitcoin is the best earning a real money.

Want suggestions?Never provide ID verification when you are trading or to verify your wallet. I`m not sure that this will keep you safe, but nobody is 100% safe. The sad true is that btc isn`t 100% anonymous...

1. Never ask strangers from the internet for legal advice. 2. No, it's probably not legal, but without knowing which country you're from, it's hard to tell. 3. You'll probably be fine unless you run around in I <3 BTC T-shirts, and stopping people in the street to sell them your bitcoins. 4. Feel free to ignore (2) & (3), because (1)

OP, how are the prisons in your country? Take that into account when deciding on whether to do illegal shit. If you're going to end up with a big black rattlesnake up your ass, with the video up on dailymotion...well, is that worth it? Any cuntry that would ban bitcoin likely wants such pleasures for its citizens.

I heard some guy complained that customs official at some English airport searched for bitcoins in his luggage and asked him: "Where did you put them? What?! The bitcoin! Where is it?!" I don't think that custom official had any idea what bitcoin looks like. And all of that because he was wearing some bitcoin t-shirt or something.

As of right now, there are only a limited number of countries that has set bitcoins as 'illegal' materials to be held. I'm not too sure which countries they are and I'm a little too lazy to search it up but google it up and it'll be right at the front.

The legality of BTC differs from country to country. You can check some details here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Legality_of_bitcoin_by_country, I guess, because I suppose its only only a question of legality but also a level of illegality differs. E.g.: Bangladesh - anybody caught using the virtual currency could be jailed; as for Cyprus - The use of bitcoins is not regulated there

If the amount of income derived would be greater than the cost of penalty (including civil fines and the opportunity cost of jail), go for it. Otherwise, not worth it, from an organizational standpoint.

Earn, hold and exchange the BTC to your currency and send that to your bank account you have in your country. A lot can be done. Using BTC alone can be illegal. But using your own currency is not. Exchange the BTC to your currency and use them.

It will not be illegal if your country or those whom with you are trading accepts bitcoin. Exchange it into your currency will be more safest than using it in real. I think one's should convert it into his local currency and trade it safely. But if he want to trade outside, then use bitcoins. It is legal.

As far I know there is no country where bitcoin is illegal. Russia did try to ban Bitcoin some months ago, but i heard they got resistance and postponed the law. The same happened in Bangladesh and China. But so far their are no concrete laws to make it possible for civilians to go to jail.

But this is realy bad and is violation of human rights, freedom of economy and markets. Bitcoin and other virtual currencies are the future no governement can't escape that.

In my country, it is neither legal nor illegal and hence it's OK to earn or hold bitcoins. If it's illegal in your country, you could face a legal issue if your bank traces that you are conducting bitcoin related transactions and they would seize your funds.

What if a user earns the bitcoins from a gambling website's signature campaign? It would be still considered illegal cash as the address sending him bitcoins is a gambling website. Hence, it doesn't even depend on the source and if it's illegal in a user's country and if he is caught exchanging it, he could face legal charges.

It's illegal only in 4 countries of which your country is one of the 4. I don't think you should keep trading in bitcoins then unless you aren't trading them or selling them via bank or PayPal. If you are just holding, you may need to exchange it for real cash which is again risky.

Bitcoin earned a controversial reputation among government officials, who were trying to get them under control. Everything has just begun, and the government wants to understand what cryptocurrency and make the appropriate legal basis. Government agencies are concerned about the hidden meaning bitcoins because they can be used anonymously, and as a result, there is a potential for money laundering. In particular, the authorities bother currency decentralization
All this suggests the question: Is Bitcoin currency is legal? The answer is yes, but depending on what you are doing with it.

Yes it's very safe your bitcoin in this sites. But you try another one. Xapo. You can download on Playstore if your phone is Android and if your phone is IOS you can download also in Apple store. Because It is true that some countries have banned or restricted the use of bitcoin, but fortunately the internet technology does not know frontiers and there is no way to prevent us from use bitcoin. Because bitcoin is the best way to earn a money without spending a real money.

Off course is it legal why would holding and earning bitcoins be illegal i don t think you know allot about the bitcoin, the only difference is that bitcoins can easily been used for illegal activities because he cant be tracked so they can buy allot of things with it you know. Other ones will only have profit with it because they will pay more.

Everyone of us are earning and holding it and I think that it doesn't make it illegal unless you are not a criminal and using it for criminal activities.

It is risky to continue hold, but as long as you don't withdraw it then i can say that you are a little but safer. I'm quite surprised why your country has banned bitcoin when bitcoin is completely legal to use, it has nothing bad. If you can convert bitcoin to another cryptocurrency for example Litecoin or Ethereum then I don't think it's illegal for these coins.

read to thread clearly,OP stating that in his country bitcoin was considered as an illegal thing, you can't just change the rules and justify yourself just by your opinion,if rules say using bitcoin in certain area is illegal then it's illegal, and keep in mind that it's only in OP's country not another because bitcoin still accepted around the world

i can't understand how this OP say that bitcoin is illegal from their country are you somewhere who doesn't have free internet access? but if that is possible this forums will also not accessible for just like north korea they have control with internet if that is your case we can understand that bitcoin is illegal but if you have access no one can trace you if you already holding a coin and already have existing wallet you can exchange it your money and transfer it to your account.

I couldn't stop laughing when I read this, you made my day Bro Hazir, anyways, its really shows how dumb people are banning such currency, for me it only shows how difficult and a desperate governments are to control illegal activities within their areas or countries, are they considered the good side of bitcoin for their people?

If I were in your shoes, I would just hold and keep earning. Just don't use it for now if your government says it is illegal. Sooner or later, it is going to be legalized because they would find ways to regulate it. By then, you should have amassed a great amount and you would be ahead of the rest who were too afraid to have bitcoins.

You just said It's Illegal how holding them will be legal I personally wouldn't care much If it was illegal , I would keep using it. (doesn't mean you should do the same though) Also what country is that ? Russia is the only one who banned Bitcoin for real I guess ? Yeah i am from Nepal and the central authority of our country has stated any trade works or any businesses held using bitcoin will be strictly punished so i am little afraid of holding my coins too ! that's all.. If your government tells you it's illegal then it's illegal and I'm very sorry that there are still such terrible places. I don't know what I would do being in your place, but first of I would be very cautious. Do not tell to people around you that you are using Bitcoin and do not try to exchange it for another currency until it becomes legal again (which I'm sure will happen in the future). Good luck!

It is not illegal to hold BTC but trading with some countries is illegal, like US, UK, China etc. However, BTC is anonymous and you just need to hide your ip and transact with BTC. I wish you good luck.

Earning BTC is like earning money from any business. Wont you accept money if that comes out of business you do. Same thing. What we do here is earn BTC and use them as we do with our currency. If you love to earn and save money or do whatever you want to do, go ahead and do with BTC. Earn it and use them. If your government is not allowing you to use the BTC in your country, then exchange that into your currency and use them.

Apparently, it depends on where you live. Some countries, like North Korea and Russia, aren't so friendly towards Bitcoin. It certainly would be illegal to hold Bitcoin in one of these jurisdictions, under certain circumstances.

I think it would be okay and theres nothing wrong if you are holding a bitcoin even if its illegal from your country . But you should be careful for that don't even let anyone know in your country that you are holding a bitcoin because you said it is illegal you would be considered as a criminal because of that , I guess .

You could argue that if the government really, really cared they would be able to track your ip and connect you to your Bitointalk.org account on this website assuming you logged in through conventional means, and if they see you're part of a signature campaign they could see that you earn x amount of Bitcoin for x amount of posts, connect the dots and probably figure out what Bitcoin wallet you own, if you use the same address constantly. There is some evidence, but it requires probably more resources than it is worth.

i think most of the people are facing this problem, same is the case in our country but actually they have not stated any thing against this. and i think there is no law about crypto currency in our state policy. every there is no discussion on media. only problem is that bitcoin is not accepted in any government department or private department. may be the reason is that most of the people do not know any thing about bitcoin in our area.

Bitcoin is anonymous you can hold any amount of bitcoin any time you want whether it is illegal in your country or not even a person living with you don't even know that your are using/earning bitcoins or not . You can hold bitcoins . I hope your country start accepting bitcoins soon And yes we all love bitcoins and we can't leave it . but if he is holding the bitcoin illegally. it is not fair i dont think that if an activity is illegal in some area. they why should a person continue illegal activity. so we cannot suggest to a person to continue illegal activity in their country which are bane by the government.

One of the greatness from bitcoin is the anonymity, it will be difficult to identify the owner of the bitcoin, however if your government forbid you, i think you better dont use it and also it will be difficult for you to cash out your earning while government controlling everything and watching you activity everywhere

lol you don't read the thread carefully if bitcoin just stated illegal then it's illegal, who you are changing rules by your own,it's an official rules and you can't justify yourself because you have different opinion and point of view, though you just not read the thread fully at the end as I see your third sentence : " As long as there is no law against using it, you're good."

Well I think even if it is illegal in your country it is alright for you to hold and earn bitcoin. Just don't get caught by authority man. If you get caught worst comes to worse.
Indeed I think even if its illegal its worth holding it because its very profitable and they will not find it out. You can easily make everything untraceable with the bitcoin in my opinion.

This question is new to me. Of course, I know that there are some countries that has bitcoins illegal to them but for other countries, I don't think it is illegal in anyway to earn and hold bitcoins.

I think it is legal to earn and hold it because there are more securities in your wallet account. And you earn with fair work and holding bitcoin because it is already yours, you work for it and you have the autority on what you want to do in your bitcoin.

government can,if the government just state bitcoin as illegal and already regulating it,and you're still under government rules and being forced to obey it,they can catch you if you were been known using bitcoin, just be realistic, justifying yourself won't help anything if you're facing government

As i am from country where bitcoin is stated to be a illegal currency so, its ok to earn form small services and signature campaign here and hold my bitcoins ? I need some suggestions ? I love bitcoin and i can't leave it !
If its illegal, holding them will still be illegal. But as long as you are not caught then its up to you. If your country has monitoring technology then you should stop. But if they are not strict and your problem is that you cannot cash out due to its illegal nature then its better for you to keep it. IF you are going to abroad to have a vacation you can convert it to cash and spend a happy vacation.

If your country banned bitcoin, then IMO it's illegal to have bitcoin or even do transaction. If you have bitcoin you can be considered as criminal as bitcoin is banned. Although bitcoin is anonymous, you should be careful if you want to have bitcoin.

Be an abiding citizen and don't face the consequences. Or you can leave your bitcoin in some online wallet where the server isn't located in your country and save your bitcoin there. Don't you ever dare to withdraw it coz it will be a crime LOL. Just buy items in online store not located in your country. I think that way your safe.

Exactly. Even when you exchange btc to your currency, the account detail you provide is not stored with BTC. The traders may store it for future transactions. Its very safe and secured. Exchanging is not an illegal work.

Maybe it is counted as an illegal currency because it is not possible to tax all of it. As they are millions of transactions everyday not counting all the different wallet providers. It is unfair for your government as people would likely use btc to not be tax.

Bitcoin not being accepted in your country does not mean it's illegal. Your country may not just acknowledge its significance yet. As long as there is no law against using it, you're good.
I think there is no legal or illegal in bitcoin although the government or the country prohibits the use bitcoin. they will not be able to do anything to you. so basically they can not perform any intervention so you're free to use bitcoin, earning or spending bitcoin

Maybe it is counted as an illegal currency because it is not possible to tax all of it. As they are millions of transactions everyday not counting all the different wallet providers. It is unfair for your government as people would likely use btc to not be tax.
I think bitcoin can not be given any tax because bitcoin is anonymous so tertenti transactions of any person can not be seen or in track. so I think if bitcoin illegal because no taxes. then whenever bitcoin will become illegal? I think illegal is the word of the government. they could not do any restrictions on the use of bitcoin

As i am from country where bitcoin is stated to be a illegal currency so, its ok to earn form small services and signature campaign here and hold my bitcoins ? I need some suggestions ? I love bitcoin and i can't leave it !
You can hold it on some reliable online wallet but you may face legal problem if you try to cash them into fiat or buy some physical good online. The best option for you would be hold it online and wait until things change in your country

Are there laws that says bitcoins are illegal? How can the make it illegal to use it a piece of software? It's just a bunch of inputs and outputs in a ledger and it's not really a "currency". The closest to bitcoin being a currency is the name because it has the word "coin" in it. There will be legal loop holes in legal cases involving bitcoins for everyday use. No law or case will act as precedent giving the governments around the world one big headache.

Illegal is different from ban. I think using such currency is illegal and that does not mean it’s earned or spent against laws of that country but it’s not recognized by the laws of that country. I would suggest you to reconfirm that using bitcoins is illegal or banned in your country. I think few governments will either create obstacles or ban completely the usage of bitcoins in future but still bitcoin will have prominent role in global trade. Right now if you want to be in safe position then don’t spend coins (but still you can earn and hold it in your wallet).

Even if it's illegal you don't have to be afraid of anything for the simple reason that no one knows that you hold and using bitcoins, unless you reveal it of course but this is never going to happen.

Yeah they don't know that your holding bitcoin so why need to be afraid? And I think for the future it will accept it in your country as a legal currency .much better to start to save now so if the times come that your country legalized bitcoin you had available and I think when it is happen the price of bitcoin is much expensive than the price now.

What country is this? Russia? Anyway, I believe that you just contradicted yourself. Doing something illegal is not going to make it legal or vice versa. I am a little confused . If my understanding of your question is correct then you might be able to get someone outside your country to manage your bitcoins. It's only a suggestion.

I heard something about it, I don't know why Nepal decided to make bitcoins illegal. I would hold and use bitcoins in any case, just be careful with whom you talking about and try to protect yourself on several ways. Delete you browsing history regularly, use incognito tab, if you can use VPN, and once again don't tell to anyone around what are you doing. They can't catch you if you are quiet about it. I think if you just hold it on one place they will never know that you have any coins, just earn them and keep them. Good luck man!

Yup. It depends in your country, (or in america, state). Most of the countries have don't consider bitcoins as something illegal but there are some that has banned bitcoins. You got a point there. Bitcoin maybe both illegal and legal. In some countries where it is accepted it may not be considered as legal like China wherein their state has declared that ownership of bitcoins is considered a civil rights.. But there are countries which forbid ownership of bitcoins and users have problem how to convert them to cash.

So it don't mean that you say that bitcoin is illegal currency. It is online currency, and most of the countries not accept it but instead of this people are using the bitcoin and invest in it.

As long as they dont know that you are holding and earning a bitcoin you dont even need to worry about it , you'll be alright then because I think they don't care to some people that is secretly owning a bitcoin and also they don't even notice if you are doing it unless they have monitored your computer, or your phone and your online activities .

Don't try and reason with these people, just report their posts. They're just trying to increase their post count for their signature campaigns by answering bullshit without even reading the first post. In OP's case, I would just take the necessary precautions to make sure that your ISP can't see that you're involved with Bitcoin. Use a VPN to be on the safe side and if you want to 'withdraw' your Bitcoins, just do it via a Bitcoin debit card.

I think it is legal because we do pay fees when sending bitcoin to another wallet then the fees goes to the maintenance and also they bought the equipments with tax on it so all goes fair. Some say it is illegal because no one regulates it and they have some point on it but who cares as long as my conscience says I'm doing good and not involving with some blackmarket I still use bitcoin

I think some countries have given a straight forward statement about bitcoin some countries diclier it as a legal currency and now working of it to regulate it. while some countries have delear it as illegal currency and they have banned it in their countries. while some countries has yet not given any statement about bitcoin. so those countries who have banned it and consider it as illegal currency then it is illegal to use or hold bitcoin there and those who delea it legal so there it is legal to use or hold bitcoin. I think it is still legal there where the govt has yet not given any statement about bitcoin to hold or use bitcoin.

Yes its legal here in our country but if you used it in gambling its illegal. But if want it to eatn and hold there is no problem with that. Earn want you want to earn and holding it without worry. So do that nothing to worry because bitcoin is popular in whole world.
I think the legality or the rule on bitcoin will not be so important. because although it banned bitcoin. you can still use bitcoin Agree, bitcoin can be integrated where you are, it won't be ban with a use of IP or anything. It can only be unusable once you remove your internet connection but it will not likely to happen in our generation since internet connection is one of the important thing we have because that's how most people earn money for a living so even your country ban bitcoin they can't control the worldwide access of it.

Apparently, it depends on where you live. Some countries, like North Korea and Russia, aren't so friendly towards Bitcoin. It certainly would be illegal to hold Bitcoin in one of these jurisdictions, under certain circumstances.

As of now no restriction has come from my government so far. I would say it is because of lack of awareness. I think rarely few would know about btc and the users are very less compared to other countries. i wish btc should get spread in my country. More would become wealthy and the country would be at its class.

In my country, it is neither legal nor illegal and hence it's OK to earn or hold bitcoins. If it's illegal in any country, better exchange the btc earned into local currency and use them for the expense. the government is not going to say anything for using the local currency.

It may be true, but I see north korea and Russia does not have a policy that describes the user bitcoin, just that all countries in the world have yet to know closer about bitcoin. So all users of bitcoin anywhere using bitcoin illegal manner, for all countries in the world is not yet legalized bitcoin

As long as they dont know that you are holding and earning a bitcoin you dont even need to worry about it , you'll be alright then because I think they don't care to some people that is secretly owning a bitcoin and also they don't even notice if you are doing it unless they have monitored your computer, or your phone and your online activities .
I think, even if those countries do not know OP deviate bitcoin it was still wrong. Because we as citizens must comply with the rules that apply in our country. Moreover, when the country already has laws governing the restrictions on the use bitcoin. Although holding bitcoin is not illegal but according to state regulations in OP country it becomes illegal, friend. So inevitably OP should stop using bitcoin

Earn, hold and exchange the BTC to your currency and send that to your bank account you have in your country. A lot can be done. Using BTC is not an illegal act as like other currencies. Exchange the BTC to your currency and use them.

For OP, yes, it is legal to earn and hold Bitcoin in most countries, however I'm not sure whether or not it is legal in your specific country. Some countries don't allow for Bitcoin to move value out of the country (Iceland is one notable example) but they allow for Bitcoin to exist within its borders, with some restrictions. Earn, hold and exchange the BTC to your currency and send that to your bank account you have in your country. A lot can be done. Using BTC alone can be illegal. But using your own currency is not. Exchange the BTC to your currency and use them.
I can't think of any instances where the user of Bitcoin at its core is illegal, but I guess it could be a thing.

Considering the current legal status of my country with regards to Bitcoin, it is legal for me to earn and hold Bitcoin, considering that I pay the income taxes for the income earned via Bitcoins. I guess the Reserve Bank here had some skeptical notions against Bitcoin usage, but certain law firms have released documents that ensure its legality.

It is the same here in my country. Bitcoin is currently legal but not regulated by the government. Although the site where we are buying and selling bitcoin somehow follow the government law and applying it to their customer by asking our identities or else we are limited only to around 43 usd - 45 usd withdrawal per day.

it would be legal if you search for it. if you steal course it is illegal, but if you hold bitcoin you have, of course, it's not illegal. how could it be illegal if you store the items you save. other than that bitcoin is not something that is illegal, so it is legal as long as you do not use it for anything illegal

It's illegal to hold it & earn it if it's BTC is illegal in your country, what question is that? If it's stated that it's illegal to have BTC, then it is. I have absolutely no idea how they can find those using BTC, but you better not risk doing it.

bitcoin is not under government, and does not have a legal entity. so you are legal to hold bitcoin as much as possible, and on the state you consider that bitcoin is illegal, it's not a big problem, because you are not using bitcoin to transactions in real.

Other than that, bitcoins are legal to be used and held unless of course your state/region/place has it's own rules or laws about it.

Bitcoin is totally legal in more than 90% of the countries of the whole world. Even if its not legal in your specific country OP you can always hold the coins in a desktop wallet and you can use a VPN to use a different IP every time you are sending the coins. I think its ok to use the IP of your country when receiving the bitcoin as I think its hard to track the IP of the receiving person. I know that the starting point IP of the transaction can be tracked thats why I say to use a VPN when sending bitcoins. You should be safe. No country should give us limitations, bitcoin is created for this thing in the first place, decentralized p2p currency.

Here it's not accepted as a currency but some big businesses that grew out of bitcoin are taking that decision to court and try to get it accepted. But there is nothing illegal about holding and earning bitcoins here, it's just that our government doesn't add value to it.

Not sure where you live but the government here does care about you and your Bitcoin holdings. They want you to declare every single Satoshi that you have, and also every single bit of profit that you make. All this to make you pay tax in order to create a new revenue stream for the government.

I think it depends on what country if it is legal to earn and hold bitcoin. In my country Bitcoin is legal but not regulated. It means earning and holding it will not result in any issue or problem. Some country plainly ban bitcoin. Other is more strict with bitcoin.

As i am from country where bitcoin is stated to be a illegal currency so, its ok to earn form small services and signature campaign here and hold my bitcoins ? I need some suggestions ? I love bitcoin and i can't leave it !
You can do everything you want. Governments can't hold bitcoin and its system.. bitcoin is completely anonymous and no one can trace you. so in short words yes you can earn and you can hold your bitcoin for long time . and your bitcoins will be safe until you protect the private keys. and don't leak them. Even I am sure that You can't only hold bitcoin and store bitcoin. but you can easily exchange it and convert it to fiat and use it to buy everything you want. just create a paypal or Perfectmoney and contact a trader who can buy your bitcoin. but stay anonymous for be safe.

that's right. many countries have not yet had any stance about bitcoin. and i think it is mostly because bitcoin is not being used that much in many countries. but one thing is for sure, if you are earning bitcoin through an illegal channel and holding it that is still illegal any place in the world and it doesn't matter what rules they have.
