Both for me, but Skill is a little more important than luck. Because in trading you have to think how you can get a big money.

but in my opinion luck is more important than skill,if you have luck but don't have skill you can still keeping up trading because you have the luck and maybe every after buying you will see the price is rising and you get profit whilst with skill it's uncertain

As quoted luck plays an big role in profiting, though the person doesn't have much skills. At the same luck won't give a constant earning, because every time luck won't stay with certain persons. Skill is not like that, we can make strategies and move on to get a constant earning. I believe that the person with skills is always lucky.

Yes indeed, luck is the basis for profit. Even so skills are also indispensable in trade. Because if we use trade only rely on luck it will not be profitable, so it is very necessary skills. With the skill we can increase the chances of luck.

the only reason why people around here use the word luck for trading around here is because sometimes prices don't move with any logic and mostly in altcoin prices they are moving based on pump and dumps and no reason whatsoever.

For well experienced traders luck isn't needed. These traders rely on the years of experience that they have been building up. Even if they do end up making a few bad trades, the profit that they have made before that is sufficient enough to catch up any potential losses. Luck is a factor that may bring you an extra profit where you didn't expected it to happen. See it as a bonus. This is regarding Bitcoin trading and not altcoin trading.

If you're talking about altcoin trading, then the luck factor will be the desicional factor. But then again, I consider altcoin investments to fit in the same category as gambling. It has barely anything to do with actual investing/trading. If you jump into altcoin trading, then you must accept the risk of possibly seeing the value of your coins go down by a lot in just a single day.

I'm sorry but I'm totally disagree with you guys for luck is the most important thing if everything. Whether you gamble or trade, you will still hope that luck will be always with you. In trading, we know that skill is a must but still you will still need to cope up with luck. And luck will mostly applicable in gambling even you are not skilled person.

I think it's both skills and luck because if you have those two it will be easy for you to earn money. It's bad if you are just relying on luck and just doing some random pick for the coin to just find the right coin.

please, I am not trying to start an argument just offering my opinion(as your posts are your opinions). If you are like most trader on this forum who are trading based on TA and other methods that have no real edge(exploiting ineffciency), then where is your edge created? Certainly not in your entries which you have no control over. So what do you have control over then? When you exit that position, how you handle a position once it is moving? I know for price action traders, this is the hardest part. Inside the james 16 pf, those that succeed with pa are those that have clear cut rules for their exits(sure our entries are important)

I agree those as luck and skill together working means a trader will get more chances to gain quick and huge profits from his every trade.

A professional trader will maximize his profits through skill, but naive traders expect luck moments to do so even he has skills. When both skill and luck together works, one will become more successful in his trading for sure.

Luck can be helpful when investing in certain aspects of a market, but it's never something you should fully depend on, unless you're a gambler/high risk taker. High risks means high potential earnings, but also high risk of ending up with massive losses. It's not something to look forward to when you look to increase your wealth for the long term.

If you see luck as the main principle of having success, then your investment/trading style has more similarities with gambling rather than well thought out investment/trading strategies. It's way too dangerous to depend on luck as it may very well end up in a disaster for you. If you are playing with serious amounts of money, you'll either become very rich, or end up poor if you really continue this behaviour.
