Hi - I'm trying for the second time to use simplemining to use optiminer for ZEC.

The miner starts and returns this error:

OpenCL error: failed to read bin/X_round0.bin -1

and when I try to run claymore it says no such file or directory.

I can use silent army but I was already using it in ethos and they have individual per GPU overclocking settings.

I would love to try optiminer and your distro seems the easiest way to do that - if only it would work!

Crypto currency enthusiast and miner since 2015. Mined approx 200 ETH during 2016 and 2017 and sold it at approximately $US40 each. Then I watched it reach $1000+ each. If anyone bothers to read this stuff pay attention to this: HODL HODL HODL HODL HODL HODL

I started mining with 1 AMD 7950 and 1 R9-280X. Then I gradually built my AMD operation into 12 R9-290s. Awesome ETH hash but ridiculous power consumption and heat. Over the last year I defected to the Nvidia team. I now use GTX 1070s. They were expensive to buy (probably a bargain now) but awesome hash rate vs. power consumption. blah blah blah blah

Great job, you're the best tytanick!

Sorry, there is no Wi-Fi support. You need to plug in cable.

would it be possible to intergrate a CPU miner in the os?
some of my nicehash rigs make a bit off the cpu lately (Zcash)
i know it dosent make much but every bit of profit counts.

just a thought.

great work up to date, thinks are looking good Smiley

The last time I used the Silentarmy v5 choice in SimpleMining it was also mining with the CPU alongside the GPUs

@tytanick I appreciate what you are trying to do but for me so far it has been unstable. Unfortunately your miner seems to be suited to rigs which are all one kind of GPU - all the same, but my rigs use different GPUs on the same rig.

Last night I had Optiminer running for about 10 minutes using simpleminer but then it would crash. Maybe optiminer is unstable? One of the rigs has some watercooled GPUs on it and I don't think simpleminer likes seeing fan of 0. The other rig has a mixture of 290s, 290Xs and a 380. Unfortunately I tried overclocking and I failed to understand that it applies the overclock to every card! I'm used to ethOS where I can control each individual card. EthOS is currently using Silent Army so the hash isn't as good but it runs for days without any crashes.

It was really great to see my hash double in simpleminer but it just doesn't last longer than 10-15 minutes .

I will return to ethOS but I will keep watching for updates to simpleminer because I really want a way to use optiminer and my Linux skills aren't quite good enough to build it all myself. Thank you for what you are trying to do.

Hi,
Yes in deed optiminer is unstable, its nothing i can do. I just put different miners and you can select which one you want to use.
You can use silentminer as well.
I said many times that overclocking for each card will be in future. It is early project and needs time.
In my case, optiminer works may days now without crash Smiley
Only sometimes it disconnect from stratum but i already made watchdog for this which restarts miner.

First specify Names for each rig.
Then in Red button options you need to use this text: $rigName
It will be replaced by rig name and send to each rig.
so if i have rigs:
saturn
mars
pluton

then after wiriting -s zcl.coinmine.pl:7007 -u tytanick.$rigName -p x
i will receive:
-s zcl.coinmine.pl:7007 -u tytanick.saturn -p x
-s zcl.coinmine.pl:7007 -u tytanick.mars -p x
-s zcl.coinmine.pl:7007 -u tytanick.pluton -p x

heh ok, works, second question: on one rig i have strange mem and cpu data
1050 300 300 300 MHz
1500 300 150 300 MHz

Cant set normal mhz.. don't know why.

And can i set another miner on each rig ? eg, 1 rig - zec custum optiminer, 2 rig - claymore eth, 3 rig - silnetarmy zec ....

Only sometimes it disconnect from stratum but i already made watchdog for this which restarts miner.

So I have had another try - I have both rigs running now in optiminer for about 30 minutes. I tried a few combinations of clock, memory, temp target and fan settings and I think I have found some that work so far. So I have a 390 running at memory 1250 (like a 290) instead of 1500 like it usually does, I also have 2 380s running at memory 1250 instead of 1425 like they usually do but the cards seem to be able to do this. No doubt their hash rate is effected but it is still much higher than silent army.

So far my hash at nanopool has jumped from 860 sol to nearly 1500 sol. So if this will work in the long term I will be very very grateful to you! Thank you so far! I will donate to you if my rigs will run like this for 24 hours without failing!

I would love to see the ability to name separate rigs with their own worker names but it isn't a big deal. Individual overclocking settings for each GPU is the biggest feature I hope to see in future.

Thanks again for your work.

The OS is so far free but some of the miners inside it have dev fees, like claymore for ETH and optiminer or claymore for ZEC.
