I have seen no websites are accepting bitcoin for buying or selling goods. But there are so many local traders who accept bitcoin in exchange of local currency.

I think it better not to use your bitcoin for silly shoppings like daily groceries or mobile recharge. Because, this way you will slowly loose your fortune. Bitcoin has a huge upside potential. So hold on to it for long time without spending it. You will feel the power of bitcoin.

in my country bitcoin is not prohibited. but the development of bitcoin is not supported by the government. bitcoin is floating because there is no regulation that recognizes about bitcoin. it is a barrier for stores to accept bitcoin.

governments will never accept the development of something (in this case bitcoin) that has the potential to cause them a lot damage. all the development has to come from the community, and people looking to build applications and increase the adoption.

bitcoin is floating.

The floating situation happens in a lot of countries because they're feeling doubt to applied bitcoin in their country and feeling difficult to leave the bitcoin. but it's better than the government is banned the bitcoin from their region.

in fact some country now doing research about blockchain, and trying launching his official digital currency, maybe in future goverment will make bitcoin as legal currency like other normal currency in the world

same rule is in my country too (NEPAL).. we are not allowed to pay in other currency until we are from other country...but we can use little little for some recharge and other normal activities
NEPAL is good country i visited there for 2 times. it is a fact that i never saw a shop who accept bitcoin, i NEPAL very little number of people know about bitcoin, and that s the reason that they are not accepting bitcoin in shops, the government of NEPAL also have no recommendation about bitoin.

the governments are not going to take such blind steps first they have to analyze it and after that they will be thinking about its regularization, in fact some countries are going to take a positive step towards the legalization of bitcoin.

However, a few countries have banned bitcoin altogether,  few has taken a generally positive approach towards bitcoin. Most countries have not clearly made determinations on the legality of bitcoin, preferring instead to take a wait-and-see approach. Some countries have indirectly assented to the legal usage of bitcoins by enacting some regulatory oversight. However, bitcoin is never legally acceptable as a substitute for a country’s legal tender.

It is accepted in my country. I heard it was accepted early 2014.  There is a third party processor that enable you to spend bitcoin in return of their services.  They even have some referral bonus scheme. I  think it is a good way to advertise and spread news about bitcoin.

Bitcoin is not accepted in my country. Not more people are aware of it. I can't use it physically anywhere in my country, so I just convert to my local currency or I will purchase something online.
Yup in my country also the same problem. The Bitcoin is not a legal currency. So we have the only option that some website will convert bitcoin to our local currency. There we exchange our Bitcoins, and we use it for our personal use.

That's very saddening to hear that your country hasn't accepted bitcoins just yet but it's only a matter of time until people know about it. Maybe you can be one of the people who would publicize bitcoins or maybe ask some stores about it.

I think there are the maximum number of countries are not accepting Bitcoin. I am Publicising about Bitcoin in my friend circle. I am doing my work, Let's see it will work out or not.

bitcoin is really not banned in our country but not legal also but there were few merchants that accepts  bitcoin as their way of payment which makes it  much easier for us to spend some of it. I also do share bitcoin to my circle of friends.

In my Country it's not widely accepted but we are not prohibited to use or keep Bitcoins. There are warnings sent by the Government about the risks of using Bitcoin but again its not banned. There are only a handful of merchants accepting Bitcoins and a few local exchangers. So I don't see Bitcoin going mainstream in my Country in the next couple of years.

I think most of the countries are already accepting bitcoins but the problem is it is not popular to the majority of users, even the prominent people in my area does not know bitcoin until I told them about it, I just hope we will grow as a big community.

In my country, the government doesn’t give any restriction about using bitcoin but it seems to me that they don’t want us to use bitcoin or just simply don’t know about it or maybe they’re afraid of the risk that bitcoin brings . And the people in my place don’t care much about bitcoin, some of them even don’t know what bitcoin is so I hope that some day the government would realize the potential of it and would encourage people to use it officially.

If we keep fiat out of the system, then Bitcoin is unregulated in my country. As it is decentralized, it can be considered to be a domestic currency here. i think with good adoption in future it may happen.

If you are able to convert your bitcoins to your local currency easily that means bitcoin is accepted in your country but the important this is to know where you can spend it physically or not.

Bitcoin is not prohibited to use but many countries where bitcoin is not used as a direct payment method like other currencies. But i am still hoping and waiting for the time when bitcoin is accepted in my country and i use bitcoin to buy things from stores in my country. It will take a long time to accept in different countries of world.
