These days people are making their alt and spamming in lending section for loans.
Should their Power to post in that particular section be banned until they become Full Member ?

I think that should be, but this will never be obtained.
Unlike some other forums has bitcointalk no rules according to posting in 'trusted sections'. I know HackForums.net has many requirements before u can start selling something. This way u will keep the scammers out.

Nobody's actually lending those lower ranks so I don't think it's a problem aside from the spamming of people that says "Oh, you can't ask for a loan here, you're a newbie.", "No collateral = no loan", and other variations of those sentences. Anyway, if your idea gets implemented, the scammers would just buy an account in Auctions or Digital Goods sections and use that higher rank to ask for a loan.

Also, it would be unfair for a lower rank that has a valid collateral if they cannot post in the lending section.

No i don't agree with your idea, because although they are still newbies they have a right for make loans on gambling board and it is a forum where every people can be discussion even if it is loans.

I think ''Newbie'' should be banned in Lending Section,
at least can stop people just create acc and spam there,
keep asking those ridiculous loans...

I know that no one is lending them but they are just spamming the posts in that particular section.
Also creating newbie alts again and trying their luck again after they are given -ve feedback for asking loan without collateral.

Your point? Your annoyed by the spammers? Well, if you look around, there are tons of spammers in here, are you annoyed by them as well? If you're going to ban newbies from posting in Lending Section just because they are spamming there, you might as well want to ban them from other sections because they spam other sections too.

Voted "they should be allowed". Reason? As long as they have valid collateral, they should be allowed to do that. Agreed with xenophoto, its a liltle unfair if they have valid collateral but they can't use that as their collateral in lending section

collateral is the most important in loaning business. even if he is newbie and have negative trust feed. as long as
he have a valid collateral. i thnk they maybe qualify. but for account as collateral. a big NO for that.

Yes I agree with this but I suggest that only brand new and newbie accounts with less than 14 activity points ( AP => 14) should not be allowed on the lending section. I find jr members to be eligible for having their own lending topics. For newbies that have more than 14 AP, they will be allowed also since they have already stayed on bitcointalk for 2 weeks. It is like we're giving a 2 weeks wall for spammers.

As for the newbies with less than 14 AP that have a valid collateral, wouldn't it hurt if they wait for 2 weeks before taking a lend? I mean if they are really serious, they need to wait.  Lips sealed

( This is only my opinion to lessen the spam and scam attempts on the Lending section )

UPDATE
We had a newbie jail once, I had to go through it in order to be allowed to post elsewhere. It didnt improve things, scammers just waited the ~28 days or bought cheap Jr. accounts. On the other hand though the "beginners and help" section was very confusing. On top of that I think it caused more work for moderators as users asked to be whitelisted in order to get out of the jail early. Preventing scams should not be a moderation issue, it should happen at the user level. If a newbie asks for a high amount of coins without collateral you can be polite and explain them why you are not that stupid or just ignore them.

After reading this, ~gotta vote now for allowing all ranks to post threads in the Lending Section.

Even if you restrict them, they can still get into the lending section by buying accounts and/or PM the lenders. Although this may reduce the amount of spammers in the lending forum, it would just annoy, hopefully nothing more, the lenders even more.

A solution can be just to split the lending section into two different sections, one for higher ranked and one for lower ranked.

Glad you kept the options open for "Fuck, this thread is useless".It is ,indeed.
Not for your thread or topic but the point you're making here is discussed in the forum about 250th time now and no,they won't restrict newbies from doing that.Reason is simple :Maybe out of the blue a newbie will happen to the forum with a valid collateral. It has happened before,I have seen newbies getting loans worth over 2+btc with their solid collaterals.Would be unfair to them although the chances of them asking loans here is once in a blue moon.

Seems you didn't got it right.
For a band new user, He only requires 14-15 activity to get promoted to Jr Member due to advantage of their starting activity boost.
Anyone can get to Jr Member account easily with their brand new account by making only 15 posts.
And can easily abuse this forum with it.

When i had opened a thread for my lending service many newbie and brand new users asked me to fund them.
Actually it is so annoying. Also i knew they all are alts but i can't do anything except refusing them and wasting my time  Undecided

Also if they are legit then they can wait for a month to get 30 activity and get promoted to Member, which will only take a month.

Seems you didn't got it right.
Seems you didn't get it right.

None of what you're saying has anything to do with Joel's post. Joel_Jantsen was stating that it would be negatively affecting the few newbies that actually do provide proper collaterals and get loans passed.

Reason is simple :Maybe out of the blue a newbie will happen to the forum with a valid collateral. It has happened before,I have seen newbies getting loans worth over 2+btc with their solid collaterals.Would be unfair to them although the chances of them asking loans here is once in a blue moon.

For a brand new user, it takes at least 2 weeks to get to Jr Member (should they sign up right before the activity increase). You can't become a Jr. Member with only 15 posts. Where are you getting your information from? As well, "abuse this forum with it"? How can they do that? By asking for loans? Negative feedback. Nobody's stupid enough to offer loans to anybody that doesn't provide valid collateral at that stage. Unless they're an alt*

When i had opened a thread for my lending service many newbie and brand new users asked me to fund them.

Simply ignore the newbies that don't have collateral. It's as easy as that. If you run a loaning service, you should be aware that you'll be getting requests from people who are bound to be scammers.

Also if they are legit then they can wait for a month to get 30 activity and get promoted to Member, which will only take a month.
Members are not at 30 activity. That would be a Jr. Member.

P.S.

Threads:

Newbies banned from some sections
Banning Newbies from requesting loans?
Ban Newbies in lending section
Ban newbies and jr members from loan section
Should we be doing a no tolerance policy on newbies?
Petition to keep newbies outta the lending section
Lending section disabled for newbie rank
Restricting lending section for newbies?
What if you had to be Jr. Member+ In Order To Request for a Loan
Impose a restriction for the lending subforum (from 2012) and that's the earliest one I could find. Either way, stop making these threads.

It will never happen, since everyone has the same right to post everywhere.
When lower ranks wouldn't be allowed to post in the lending section, then u would also the truthfull and be affected by this. Certainly not all new members are scammers.
