It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

Hey everyone! I made it to 4 hours on here and my account is still restricted, why?

You need five posts along with the four hours.

Wondering if my posting restriction can be release:

Bitcoin miner at ~10Gh/s since 2011. Python developer with a few trading algos operating in the exchanges. Was interested in posting on some of the BFL news.

Thanks!

I think in this day and age of everyone trying to spam the hell out of everyone else these restrictions are an unfortunate necessary inconvenience...

Yay! A pointless post towards my five-post requirement to get out of the newbie section! I'd rather there be another way like summarizing a paragraph to prove I'm human, but oh well.

I feel like this leads to a lot of noise.

Some people just don't like to post much.

I have made posts to the other forums before and suddenly the "new topic" link is gone. Was my rank degraded somehow?

Did you? You registered 5min ago...
