Is there a way to tell how much more time you need to spend online? I mean *I think* I should be able to post outside of newbie box now, but the system says "no". I can see how may posts I have but I don't know about how much time I have spent here?

I think this restriction is against freedom of speech.
Can someone tell me how those 4 hours are calculated? Is it just the time since I have completed registration, or do I have to actually do something here?

freedom of speech only applies to the government. any private person can restrict you from saying anything on a forum they own. A bit silly? Yeah, perhaps. Suppression of free speech rights? Nope. |

As soon as they are past the captcha they can do whatever we can do more efficiently. I suppose its way easy to get various bots to spam the newbie section with 5 posts then continue clicking for the 4 hours to pass. Really it just slows down the legitimate users. Infact fuck it. I'm impatient and dont have time for this shit. Im off. |

No offense but this has to be about the stupidest thing i've ever seen in my life, My only reason for signing up on this forum is to ask an question regarding my BTC-E account funds being frozen and not being allowed to withdraw. An user with an simple question shouldn't have to jump so many hoops just to be able to open an thread, my gawd... Then you wonder why the BTC community isn't as accepted as it should be. smh
