I think because once they win some money, they think it's so easy and want to do it again or they lost so much and want to get it back

There is no other reason than money. Simple as that. We all want to get a quick few bucks from time and time, while others target a huge jackpot if it permits. Its how it is. Some will say just for fun, but if you are losing big amounts of money just to enjoy. Then something must be wrong.
