Try to upgrade your level and be active in chat - you get activity bonus and as your level upgrades you can get higher percentage of bonus too.

I think that payments are decent don't forget that they pay you to play not to work.

It's possible to return the ref commission, yes. I have at least 4 ideas in my mind how I could do it.
Activity bonus is calculated every 15 minutes. If you're active in chat, you'll get your activity bonus.
If you're active in games, you're going to get the activity bonus as well.
