900 BTC is a too much for a single investment in a certain altcoin, I think that would even be the total amount of bitcoins raise during the ICO of some altcoins, maybe if that is the case then why not participate in ICO , some of them offers rewards or discount for the first day investors.

Couple of years back no one foresaw the difference computer and information technology  was coming to play in the way man go about his activities but today a whole lot have changed and still changing, so it would be very myopic to reach a conclusion that something that works for 1 would be impossible for 1000.

Any strategy that is able to stand up to the market and make a satoshi, can also stand up to the market and make much more given much better parameters. Of course, 1000 btc will not come overnight or for the asking, no two ways about that, but consistency of winning ways and time change even the most improbable of things.

Investors and traders can earn huge profits that is true but they have huge amounts of money too they use money to generate even more money, if you have little money then generating those amounts of coins is almost impossible.

Had you put it 10 BTC each into XEM, XMR and ETH at the start of the year -

XEM - 933 BTC at the peak.

XMR - 200 ish.

ETH - 150 ish.

So 30 would've become nearly 1300. And all you had to do was go to hospital and come out at the right time.
