I suggest to call the coins only " Pascals ". Sounds much better than Pascalcoins... My 2 Pascals Don't you think it would create a lot of confusion among all those who already know PascalCoin under the original name? Not at all, it's not like if we were using "cash" "shares" "bytes" "gold" "token" suffixes, "coin" is everywhere. Pascalcoin sounds a little cheezy... Anyway this is no big discussion, I was just thinking about it, names without the "coins" in it, sounds better Pascals ! I sort of agree. But why not just "Pascal". We have Ethereum, Monero. It's not a token by definition from the announcement. At some point I see a rebranding for pascal, at least in my opinion. Seems a lot of people only know it for being written in that language rather than for some other more unique features (ie safebox, deletable blockchain etc..). Only time will tell when/if it catches on Deletable blockchain is a big thing. I believe and synced BTC core and it was huge. Still a lot of time left. It hasn't been a full year yet.

Pascalcoin was a great project...
Was? Not was, but will. I believe that all unique coins more valuable than huge number of ERC tokens. Coin with unique blockchain it is value of technology.

New Exchange open for testing!I have modified an old php script an turned it into a basic PascalCoin Exchange. I would be very happy if some of you will test it a little before I open it for the public. You can register and deposit small amounts in PASC or EURO and then start trading. Because we still are testing the deposit is max 10 EUR and max 100 PASC. The link is: http://exchange.frizen.eu/Bug reports and suggestions here at BitcoinTalk will be appreciated.

Positive thinking. If it does, I will buy you a coffee with PASC that I mined.

This is a good time for "accumulating". That's what I heard on Slack. But he/she did not care to explain what that means. If you have any questions, they can easily be answered on the Slack channel. EDIT: Thank you for the member on Slack that answered the question in human format.

I think Pascal has huge potential from a tech standpoint, but there are a couple of issues...
1) Perception. While the technical aspects of the coin are indisputable, the UI is terrible. It needs a facelift, and account # purchasing with fiat/credit card should be available at the wallet level - the current process for obtaining an account number is convoluted and not particularly obvious to newcomers.
2) The deletable blockchain is its strength, and its achilles heel. Crypto coin values go up with mining difficulty/limitation of supply. If the chain is deletable, there's no reason to ever increase difficulty, meaning the price will stagnate.
IMHO, Pascal seems like a prime candidate for a Public/Private blockchain, targeting enterprise a la Ripple.

Purchasing of Accounts with fiat and credit card exists: http://pascalcoin.frizen.eu/pasa/Purchasing of PascalCoins with fiat and credit card is under development: http://exchange.frizen.eu/PascalCoin has normal mining and a blockchain like most coins with Proof of Work and difficulty adjustments etc. The difference is that PascalCoin also have a SafeBox so you can delete the blockchain if you just run an ordinary wallet. Alternative wallets with a different GUI is under development. An early alfa test version can be found here: https://sourceforge.net/projects/pascwallet/

If you want an app/platform/peice of software of any kind to get mass adoption, the user experience and system design has to be intuitive. Like a said, Pascal has a great technology platform (possibly the most viable of all blockchains long term), but it's UI/system design and market positioning could use some help (and hopefully the next wallet update will address some of these concerns). Please don't misinterpret this as fudding, I have nothing but respect for the Pascal team, just trying to provide to some critical feedback.

You are right and your feedback is very welcome. We can be much better. But we also need help from new devs with new ideas. Especially devs with focus on userfriendly apps. Perhaps our present team is too focused on technical matters.

The real pumps are better than the fake ones? For my part I do not care about pumps and I expect normal and progressive growth for PascalCoin.
