I'll be looking to buy some PASC! When will there be more exchanges besides Poloniex? Do the other exchanges have difficulty adding PASC due to the complexity of PASA? Yesterday there was a good move in CNY, but suddenly, prices fell again! Is it accumulation?

Don't use polo.

I have few thousand PASC stuck/stolen on there that never made it onto the BC since Nov 7th, 2017.

That's over 7 months and the coins just evaporated into thin air.

Support is non-existent.

They auto close my tickets...

POLO has worse support system I also disappointed due to this behavior. I think so that is just accumulation phase while there is no good support coming from dev. But somebody like to take risk to gain more high than it is nice choice.

Agreed.  Terrible, basically no support.

Polo is gaining.  The average user is basically screwed.

Like I said, I'm dealing with it on my own.  Just exercise extreme caution.

Here is the withdrawal history.  Something went wrong on polo end on purpose, but only for 24 hours.  It's not the dev's fault.  They can't control what exchanges do.

The 2504 withdrawal is completely gone.  Completed according to status.  The other ones after that one worked instantly.  Few seconds and it was in my local wallet.

I can transfer to/from my local wallet.  0 issues.

Have you tried rebuilding the local wallet? If you have not I would give that a try.

Yes.  Few times.  Always rebuils fine.  Full wallet.

I did it to ensure I can rebuild it from my key backups.

I have two copies running on Linux.

One on Kali Linux 2012 MacBook pro retina.  Syncs way faster than the one I wave running on Intel atom Ubuntu.

I download the blochchain, copy it to Data dir (wiping anything that is already there) and copy my keys to the home folder.

Sometimes it takes a while if the protocol is v1 (no copy of the BC v3 online) but it eventually automatically upgrades to v3.

I can sent you 1 PASC.

PM me you PASA.  Better to test if it can sent to another account, not exchange.

I have been following this project for a long time and I had an opinion that this is not a very serious project. No one would have known about this project, if Poloniex not added it a year ago. So personally it seems to me that this is a pocket token of the exchange. But I would like to ask why the developers do not try to add their token to other exchanges?

It's not a token.  PoW fully mineable coin.  No ico, no premine, no sale.

It has mentioned many times before that it costs as many as 6 BTC to get it listed.  Exchanges are greedy or if they don't see value in the coin, they will not list it for 'free'.

It's not the dev's job to pay for listing it.

The project to get it listed has been ongoing for several months (by other community members).

If you can spare 6 BTC, it can get listed.  There is a number of exchanges that would if they were paid.

Please check the whole thread.

I had a visitor to my PascalCoin forum (http://www.skybuck.org/PascalCoin/Forum/) a while ago, I saw he was interested in mining pascal coin, the mining forum section was empty so today I decided to update it with some usefull information and also to make all software tools available for mining PascalCoin:

The PascalCoin mining tutorial can be found on my forum see link below, on that forum/posting there is also a further link to the necessary software. (Which can be found in \src folder as described there Wink)

http://www.skybuck.org/PascalCoin/Forum/index.php?topic=32.0

For those still interesting in PascalCoin mining without using pools and instead using your own machine(s) have fun and good luck mining !

This information for me myself is mostly usefull for just testing out the software ! Wink =D

I found this a bit interesting:

https://www.usenix.org/conference/nsdi18/presentation/geng

It describes an algorithm for "nano-second" precise timing using network peers, almost seems to good to be true.

Timing is important for blockchain technology.

PascalCoin git log does contain some hint/reference to a possible timing attack and a safeguard against it, where double spends or other attacks might be possible if time is off by too much. Saw a website about it describing an attack where a single system gets dossed or something like that and then fooled into believing a fake chain and such.

Anyway PascalCoin since it's P2P seems like a nice candidate to include this advanced algorithm. Currently I have no idea how it works =D Sad...  Wink =D

(Gonna watch this video seems interesting and kinda bored right now =D)

Ok watched the video, the idea is very simple and pretty cool.

I wonder what kind of accuracy/precision PascalCoin and other blockchains need. The "attack" document did describe that even a clock sync off by 1 second could be exploited, so the answer is probably as low as possible. Kinda funny idea this video, highly recommend watching it.

(Didn't know nics could do timestamping, may look into it. Idea in short is to send two packets, and measure time between them, any difference as recorded, signifies queue/noise delays, sometimes they will have zero delays and no noise, so idea is based on "filtering out" these perfect two "packet pairs" which are called "probes" or "coded packets". I do see a flaw in this idea though, if these "ideal" pairs never occur then this system won't work Wink Smiley anyway once these ideal packets are filtered out they are put through something called SVM, some kind of machine learning software, never heard of this before. And a lower/upper bound can already be determined I think even in noisy channels, the filtered probes, cut back noise even more, and finally SVM can find the "red line" between them or so... I will google this SVM to see what it is about. Anyway the idea is interesting, but there could be other technique to filter out this noise Wink It later goes on about some kind of "circle loop" mechanics to "label" / "time" loops ammong many K servers, and finally all results collected on one chosen server/"master" and
finally re-distributed. Would be nice if this phase/step of the algorithm was more "distributed" maybe that possible too not sure).

Kinda wonder if PascalCoin has it's own "Network Time" detection ? I did see some "Network Adjusted Time" but perhaps this is something different ?

I think bitcoin does try and determine a "consensus on what the time is by some p2p algorithm or so". This may be attackeable but so far is holding up.

Also this new "huygens" algorithm is new, and has probably not been examined how "temper" proof it is. What if clients/servers start to missbehave ?! Hmmmm.... might be useless algorithm not sure about that Smiley Here probably most "voices"/"votes" matter and might make it temper proof against maybe "idealizing" probes or whatever or "fraudelent reports to master".

(If implemented in PascalCoin, this could be PascalCoin's first "Distributed APP" an APP to determine time to 10 to 100 nanoseconds precision or so.)

Cannot solo mine PASC since forever.  I tried with 8GH/s in early 2017.  For a month.

6 1080tis.

Not worth mining.

There are equihash coins and ETH based coins that are and you can exchange them...

Does anyone know what are the ways to get PASA at an affordable price? I'll be looking to buy some PASC and wait 6 to 8 months! Something tells me that this coin will be in the top 10 of the coinmarketcap! Wink

Polo.

Trade any other crypto, even mined into PASA.

Market rate is the rate and are 50 cents it's very affordable.

If you expect 1 cent PASA, won't happen.

Top 10 in 8 months, I doubt it.

6$ was the upper limit it hit.

Buy 2000 PASA now and thank me in 3 years   Grin

Does polo even work?

I can't do any transactions.  Free Wallet is under maintenance for every coin it supports.   Sad

I wanted to send a bit of ZEC that I mined, but there is a warning to only exchange within the wallet.  PASC is on polo only.

Why would anyone not take time to learn Pascal Coin? Aside from just one exchange, Poloniex, there's no stopping PASC from eventually making top 10 at Coinmarketcap.

The accounts thing is beautiful and I've been buying cool PASA from Pascwallet.com and you should too. Lastly, I'm done with ICO's and don't mind the ups and downs with PASC because again, eventually everyone will recognize this funding for what it is: the fastest most feature-packed working crypto in the world!

Finally.  A post that was written by a human.  Well, English is proper and perfect.

I spent a lot of time learning everything I could.

Don't need to explain anything.

I exchanged few PASCs for easy to remember PASAs too from pascwallet.com.  4 digit account.  It was probably over a year ago.  Only cost me 7 PASC.

I mined close to 90 PASAs on nanopool, but they were already starting with 2xxxxx.  6 digits.  I needed an account to store my PASC locally.  Offline.

I did it the hard way, but it was the only way in early 2017.

I am assuming 'this funding' is the dev/other mining rewards after the HF.  Well worth it if that's what it takes.

Patience is the key.

Where is it possible to negotiate PASA? The PASC 42 million limit will be the same as the PASA limit, is that it? Each block found is an open PASA? Sorry, but I still don't understand PASC technology! By the way, why does the blockchain PASC act is 17,000 days? This leads to the year 1969! Could someone explain this?

PASA is PascalCoin Accounts. 5 new PASAs are created in each new block as a reward to the miners.

PASAs are traded more or less like coins. There are several options to buy PASAs, including in the Wallet.

The maximum numbers of PASCs and PASAs is not absolute. It could be changed in the future in new versions.

I'm using nightraven's link to https://exchange.frizen.eu - this is where a second exchange actually exists. If you're reading this, you should at least practice selling/buying - or really just listing your intentions to sell or buy. I've just begun playing at the site. From what I see, the other party will send 0.0001 PASC and a payload dialogue accepting the trade. I guess the BCH (Bitcoin Cash) payment address will be supplied by the seller in a return payload message to the inquiring buyer.

It's actually not complicated and just requires a fair understanding of the PASC wallet. Grin

Thank you very much for advertising my new Pascalcoin Decentralized Exchange Grin

Actually, I have not yet advertised it publicly myself because I'm still testing. But I think it is fairly safe so here we go:

Exchange.Frizen.eu is open for testing.

exchange.frizen.eu is a public marketplace where traders can buy or sell PascalCoin for Bitcoin Cash.
The exchange is experimental. Use it at your own risk. Trade only small amounts from 0.1000 to 10.0000 PASC for testing.
Plesase read the "How to" before you try to use the exchange service.

Grin

Why would I sell or buy?

I already did on polo many times.

That exchange has existed, but it was shutdown for some time.  It only did small amount which is good.  Polo has pretty much no limits depending on the level.

It's for Europe only.  Where I am ATM, there is no way to convert any crypto into FIAT.

Hodl.  PASC is ~ 60 cents US.

I have no idea what BCH is.

I only have 600,000 PASC, few ZEC that I mined and ~ 1 BTG that I mined.

Sending FIAT to an exchange is a risk that I cannot accept.

BCH is not a FIAT. BCH is Bitcoin Cash the fourth biggest crypto currency measured by market cap.

You can't trade PascalCoin directly against Bitcoin Cash at Poloniex.

The limit to small amount below 10 PASC is a temporary security measure.
